Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

@Skyla01 @Mrsrobinson247 @SarahMS I know you wanted to join.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

TTC #1 (2nd pregnancy)
Cycle #2
AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

💕

@Beau2019 I'm in a very similar position to you, we both own our house, have a beautiful puppy - Nala, and have a joint account but dont share all our money :)

Mumofboys17 · 22/11/2019 13:53

@Beau2019 We aren’t married, both 27 and been together 11 years 😊 we own our house and share DS1 and 2 cats together 😊
We try and split everything 50/50 bills wise and we don’t share accounts, but with me working part time it’s more like 70/30 some months x

Beau2019 · 22/11/2019 13:58

@imnewtothis @Mumofboys17 aww this is nice! I like this kind of thing (as much as I love the married ones too!). It's just nice to see others going it different ways to what is seen as the 'norm'

We are exactly the same as you @Mumofboys17 28 and 30 together 6 years everything shared but bank accounts! Oh and no child - but the dog counts no? 😂

OP posts:
Mumofboys17 · 22/11/2019 14:22

@Beau2019 haha thank you 😘 Oh, the dog definitely counts!! My cats are more needy than my toddler most days 🙄😂
Ahhh but the child part of things is currently pending for you, of course!! #PositiveVibesOnly ✨✨✨✨✨✨

Ellsbells112 · 22/11/2019 14:33

@Sunflower2019 I think I will start on Wednesday, I'm pretty sure I ovulate on cd15 so I'll start around cd9 how about you?
Ohh the cream should be good! I might get it next month if no luck this month. I'm dying for a coffee but I'm not allowing myself ugh lol

@ChampooPapi haha yes it reminded me of his Instagram name actually so I kind of thought it was to do with that

Ellsbells112 · 22/11/2019 14:37

@Beau2019 I'm 27 he's 31 we live together and split the bills but have different bank accounts but we also kind of work together I do his admin work for him from home and we have a few HMOs we run together. We have my son who is 8, he sees my OH as his dad and has been a dad to him since he was 2 😊 we have been together 4 and a half years. Marriage can come in a few years lol we have some plans prior x

Mango31 · 22/11/2019 17:38

@Beau2019 I use them first thing in the morning :) I'm temping this month too so it will be interesting to see when my chart decides ovulation and how close they are. Last time I used the clear blues I had a blank the first day then just constant flashing smileys until I ran out of sticks so in hoping this time around it's more accurate! Hopefully you will get your solid smiley tomorrow xcx

Beau2019 · 22/11/2019 19:17

Thanks @Mango31 here's to hoping!

Just started tonight with ovulation pains, always get them on the right site - anyone else only ever get them on one side? I am tempted to do another OPK tonight

Hi everyone - I hope you don’t mind me dropping in again! I just saw that amazon have the Clearblue opks (digital and non) as well as pregnancy tests and FRER tests all in their Black Friday deals. Just if anyone is wanting to stock up! Good luck everyone, I’m keeping my fingers crossed and hoping this is the month!!

Sunflower2019 · 22/11/2019 22:57

Thanks @amysara24 of course not! How are you getting on? Xxx

Sunflower2019 · 23/11/2019 06:55

@Beau2019 me and my dp aren’t married, we split the bills 50/50 even tho I work part time and he’s full time 😂 cheek!!! We don’t share our money, separate accounts but I do help him with his. I guess he will pay more once I’m pregnant/ had a baby. He only got this new job a month ago so just trying to get ourselves evened out!

We were meant to be having a nice night in last night and ended in a row 😭 he was so angry he went and slept in his car for a couple of hours, come in eventually and is sleeping on the sofa.. this new job has tired him out so he’s literally touchy all the time. Xx

Mango31 · 23/11/2019 10:50

Does anyone else temp? This is my first month and I had my peak on the clearblue ovulation sticks yesterday so I expected my temp to jump this morning but it's the same as yesterday? I'm guessing I haven't ovulated yet?
This TTC business is confusing haha xxx

amysara24 · 23/11/2019 11:07

@Sunflower2019 I’m doing well thanks! Still anxious about every little twinge but still excited! Always keeping a wee eye in on this thread too just to find out how everyone from last month is doing!

Beau2019 · 23/11/2019 11:12

@Sunflower2019 oh my OH would make me pay half even if I was working part time too but he would spend more on other things like pay for holidays the car etc. He knows what will change when we have a baby. Oh deaarrr - men!! Do you not find they are more touchy and over dramatic than us sometimes?! My OH would probably do something over the top like sleep in the car too 🙈

Happy days got my flashing smiley this morning! I've had ovulation pains since last night. I always took the pains as I was ovulating kind of there and then but it's clearly AFTER the pains as no peak on OPK yet. Going to test again this evening.

How is everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
MotherofKitties · 23/11/2019 12:52

@imnewtothis For the first time ever I've had ovulation pains this cycle; almost felt like round ligament pain but 100% coming my overies! 36-48hrs after the pains started I got a 'smiley face' on the clear blue ovulation test so it was definitely my first indication I was ovulating (along with getting the raging horn Grin) but it felt so odd as I've never had those pains before.

I've woken up feeling really tired and emotional this morning for no reason. My LO slept through last night and DH gave me a lie in too so it's not like I can blame the toddler for this sudden tiredness. The last time I felt emotional for no reason was when I was pregnant, so I took a test this morning and it was negative; I know it's too early for me to get a positive if I was, will have to wait until next weekend at the very least, but I don't know, kind of hoping this random teary-ness is a good sign ...

FirsttimeTTC · 23/11/2019 13:06

Hey everyone! I hope it’s ok to join?
First time TTC, had my coil out yesterday so not sure what to expect from my first cycle.. does anyone have any experience that they could share? I don’t understand when we can start properly trying.. the nurse said my fertility will be back straight away but I have no idea where I am with my cycle.
I’m 24, OH is 26 & we have been together for 7 years. We have both been ready for a while but didn’t get around to having coil out until yesterday.
Baby dust to all!

Beau2019 · 23/11/2019 15:19

Hey @FirsttimeTTC !!

I know it's SLIGHTLY different but I had my nexplanon implant out end of sept. Had withdrawal bleed 4 days later and then a proper period 2 weeks later. My first proper cycle last month was 25 days but still no BFP for me. There was a lady on last months thread that got a BFP within a month of having her mirena coil out and she was late 30s I think! She did use OPKs.

Good luck to you!

Fp30 · 24/11/2019 11:56

Hi @FirsttimeTTC,

I had a copper coil put last year - not sure if it happens to everyone but had the heaviest bleed of my life, huge clots and everything. Took my body a while to settle down but I'm pretty sensitive. Had mine taken out a lot in advance of wanting to try so we're just about to start 4th month.

My body is driving me crazy, day 9 of af and had so much breast pain the week before starting I was almost convinced that I was pregnant. Just want af to finish so we can put this month behind us.

Fingers crossed for everyone whose managed to get going!!

Katie1109 · 24/11/2019 13:42

Hello x
How is everyone doing?
CD12 for me today and I have seen quite a bit of EWCM, I have never seen it before! But opks still show as low and O day apparently in 3 days. When do you normally get EWCM? I thought it happens when you ovulate? x
I have been dreaming about Christmas BFP 🙏🙏

FirsttimeTTC · 24/11/2019 14:15

@Beau2019 ahh thank you! I had the nexplanon a few years ago but after that I went straight on the coil. That good to hear someone got a BFP so soon after having the mirena out!! Good luck for yours soon x

@Fp30 thanks for sharing your experience. I have just been to the toilet and there’s lots of bleeding, how do I know if this is AF or withdrawal? I didn’t have periods with the mirena coil so have no idea where I am in my cycle! Sorry to hear about your af coming (and lasting so long!?) Hoping this month is the lucky one for you x

ohreally2019 · 24/11/2019 14:58

Still waiting for positive OPK here... CD15 of an average 26 day cycle so I'm getting concerned I'll have a short LP now which I think may have contributed to my chemical pregnancy last month 😖
I've decided not to OPK next cycle as I've actually started to drive myself a bit mad testing and symptom spotting for OPK, God knows what the TWW will be like! Think it'll help to have Christmas distraction from all the testing 🙂

Babykent2019 · 24/11/2019 15:40

Nalapuppy · 24/11/2019 16:33

Hey guys I've had a name change, due to getting a new phone and Mumsnet not recognising me😅 used to be 'Imnewtothis'

How was everyone's weekend?

Mumofboys17 · 24/11/2019 17:07

@ohreally2019 You’ll probably find you’ll get a positive OPK suddenly tomorrow or the day after, this has happened to me a few times! Do you normally have strict cycles every month?

@Babykent2019 hi! And welcome! I’m a serial early tester too 😬 This thread has been a little mental lifesaver for me! Makes me feel like I’m not alone in the TTC madness!

CD11 for me today but still about a week until the fertile window (average 35 day cycle length) and started SMEP this cycle, so far so good with every other day! The 24hr break seems to keep the fanny burn at bay for now at least 😬😂😂

Babykent2019 · 24/11/2019 17:23

Fanny burn 👏👏👏😂
