Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

@Skyla01 @Mrsrobinson247 @SarahMS I know you wanted to join.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

TTC #1 (2nd pregnancy)
Cycle #2
AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

💕

I'd like to join too. I'm 41 and I am not a mum yet. In fact I didn't start trying till the middle of September when we got my implant removed.
I'm 41 and my other half is 28. I'm probably past it and wont ever get pregnant but he's a young stag so it wont be for want of trying! 😂😂😂I'm entirely new to mumsnet so I apologise if I'm not using (or understanding) the abbreviations yet 😂

Katie1109 · 02/12/2019 18:23

I’m staring to panic ladies I know I’m such a snowflake but both my hands are really cold, numb and tinggly. What is going on? I haven’t got any health issues at all, don’t take any medication x 😭

Beau2019 · 02/12/2019 18:34

Welcome @Sabinaj78 ! Fear not! There was a 38 or 39 year old lady on last months thread who got pregnant first month of trying! Good luck to you, I'm sure it will happen :) have you been using ovulation kits (OPKs) etc etc?

Also, this may help but apologise if I am being patronising -
TTC - trying to conceive
BD - baby dance/sex
OV - ovulation
AF - aunt flow/period
POAS - pee on a stick
FRER - first response early response

@Katie1109 sounds like a circulation thing - are you warm? Have you restricted the blood to your hands? Like sitting on them or something?

OP posts:
Ellsbells112 · 02/12/2019 18:39

@Beau2019 looool sitting on your hands, actually, that sounds it doesn't it.

@katie1109 try not to worry I knoooow it's easier said than done but you want to be nice and relaxed while you could be gearing up to implant! I'm sitting here waiting to feel something myself 😂 but that won't happen yet I think my egg might still be waiting to be fertilised

Katie1109 · 02/12/2019 18:43

@Beau2019 no hun I’m sitting on the sofa nice and warm with a cup of tea wearing my fluffy bathrobe 😂 haven’t sat on my hands 😂😂
@Ellsbells112 I could swear I am going absolutely mad! Thanks for the moral support ladies. It’s just one of those feelings that something is happening, which as for the last 6 months is going to end up as tears of disappointment x oh why do we do this to ourselves? x

Beau2019 · 02/12/2019 18:49

@Katie1109 😂😂😂😂 okay well I'm not going to sign up to be a GP any time soon as that is/was my only suggestion 🙈😂

FYI - everything is a symptom spot for me today!

I have a headache - maybe I'm pregnant
My OH annoyed me more than normal - maybe I'm pregnant
I cried at my dog shivering and being cold - maybe I'm pregnant
I don't like this mash today - maybe I'm pregnant

Send help.

Sabinaj78 · 02/12/2019 18:56

@beau2019 thank you for that list, that's really helpful :)
I've been using ovulation tests but I was getting a bit obsessive and after my doc told me that they can just stress you out, I decided to quit testing.

I think my major thing is that I have no clue as to what my cycle is doing at the moment. On the implant I was having a 25-27 day cycle and after I had it removed, it took nearly 7 weeks before I got my period and then just under 5 weeks for my next.

I've no clue what my body is doing. I've just come off long-term medication too so I think my body chemistry is extremely confused. 😂

Katie1109 · 02/12/2019 18:58

@Beau2019 your post absolutely cracked me up 😂😂 sitting and laughing here now 😂 I feel better now x
Oh and tingling and numbness has also gone - maybe I’m pregnant 😂

Beau2019 · 02/12/2019 19:17

@Katie1109 I really reallllyyyyy hope you are pregnant and 2-3 weeks time we can say that the sadness caused by the dog being cold and your numb tingly cold hands while holding a brew were DEFINITELY symptoms.

@Sabinaj78 I agree with the doc they can make you obsessive. However they are also really helpful and they made my so positive this month when I got my positive ovulation test. Just reassured me that something is working down there. But if you are happy to go with the flow and no rush then no testing is a great idea!

@Beau2019 @Katie1109 I swear I’m doing the same, I’ve had cramps all day and lower back pain. Even though I know it’s crazy because if an egg did get fertilised it probably wouldn’t have snuggled in yet. Plus I’m sure my back is still sore from falling out of bed after dtd last week. I feel you on the animals too. I burst into tears earlier because Lil Bub died. My DH thinks I’m crazy as I don’t even know the kitty, but it’s so sad 😭 wish we could just know earlier!

Sabinaj78 · 02/12/2019 19:48

@beau2019 it's killing me not to test tbh 😂

Ellsbells112 · 02/12/2019 20:45

@quiffy @katie1109 @Beau2019 hahaha you guys are Symptom spotting while I'm telling the hubby I'm sure I ovulated late last night and that means our 24 hours are nearly up so where the Fuck is he 😂😂 even though we dtd Saturday and Sunday noooo it's not good enough this just won't do! 😂 I'm sore I don't even want any more 😩
On the subject of ovulation though, if ewcm has stopped and ovary pains have stopped, is it safe to say ovulation has occurred? Cervix is still high and soft. God I hope we are all bloody pregnant so the obsessing can stop!

Mumofboys17 · 02/12/2019 21:27

@Ellsbells112 They’re all symptom spotting, I’m contemplating how there is any possible way we could have still DTD with DS1 invading our bed 😬😂😂 hoping to transfer him to his own bed shortly as he’s now fallen asleep whilst we’re watching I’m a celeb.. otherwise it’s the spare room tonight 🙄😂
I’m sore too 😂😂😂 needs must!!!

I have absolutely no idea about the whole ovulation, cervix malarkey 😬 I have absolutely zero going on downstairs now, no discharge, no nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️ Did do another OPK today too (you know, just in case 🙃) and definitely still faint.

Ellsbells112 · 02/12/2019 21:35

@mumofboys17 😂😂😂 might spice things up a bit going in the spareroom hahaha you've given me an idea I might drag him in the living room tonight 😂😂
Yup I'm dry too what a bother. So glad I'm not the only one sore lol what a pain it is! He tried to tell me he's sore, I laughed in his face. Silly men 🤣 how about I stick something up you for 2 days for HOW long because you take forever to finish and see if you understand the meaning of sore😂😂🙄🙄 sorry bit of a rant there

Well time will tell. I'm just sitting here like.. If the sperm is there and the egg is there then why in the bloody hell is it not working! 🙄🙄🙄Lol

Beau2019 · 02/12/2019 21:51

@Ellsbells112 @Mumofboys17 omg you two! 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm cracking up here. Anyone else secretly love the sex break you get at the end of your fertile window? I'm gagging for it around ovulation (can't tell if that's just my baby head or my body ACTUALLY wanting it) Come end of those 5 days it's like having a little none sex holiday 😎

OP posts:
Sunflower2019 · 02/12/2019 22:06

@Beau2019 @Ellsbells112 @Mumofboys17 my sex drive has been weird, in the day I feel up for it come evening after tww don’t fancy it at all! Definitely get Randy around ovulation though!
I dtd tonight but not in my fertile window, I’ve done all I can this month but definitely not getting my hopes up. I’ve had a little creamy discharge but that’s normal for me in the tww! Wind though omg dp is asleep next to me and I keep trying to hold it in, another tww symptom 😂😂 I’ve bought some pineapple as I heard it works for implantation 🤞

Bar those little things I feel normal, strangely! Just finished watching earth quake bird on Netflix.. dunno what i thought of it.. odd!

Xxx

Mumofboys17 · 02/12/2019 22:18

@Beau2019 yep definitely look forward to the bonk-free-break 😬😂

@Ellsbells112 omg I know, wtf is that about!! On a normal day DH is raring to go and it’s me who has to hurry up to finish, throw TTC into the mix and he turns into a shy snail 🙄

Mumofboys17 · 02/12/2019 22:19

@Sunflower2019 we watched ‘Fracture’ the other night. That sh*t kept me up at night!! 😳

Ellsbells112 · 02/12/2019 22:26

@Sunflower2019 omg the wind!! I had soooo much last night I told him I was going bed because I was tired ummm no I am just letting this all out in bed 😂😂

@Beau2019 @mumofboys17 I get so frisky and feel sexy when I'm ovulating and then I defo can't wait till we get a break from doing it lol!

Bluejan · 02/12/2019 22:29

Jumping on the symptom spotting bandwagon with @Beau2019 @Katie1109 & @Quiffy even though it's waaay too early.

Definitely have lower back twinges which usually only happen around ovulation, creamy discharge and LOADS of wind 😅. Hiding it in work today has been difficult. Also a constant 'wet' feeling down below.

This is one of the only things that I prefer to be pessimistic about though because the disappointment is so crushing...so trying to connect all of the above to every day things like eating too much over the weekend 🤔.

Also @Beau2019 definitely with you on the sex holiday 🙌🏾...such a relief

Symptomspotter86 · 02/12/2019 22:40

I'm with you girls on the sex break. After dtd for 5 days straight I'm so ready for some time off. The romance goes completely and I'm always hoping it is over quickly haha. But then after a week break I'm back to normal like a reset button.

I had my department xmas do tonight. (Who the feck has that on a Monday??) Had 4 coronas but avoided the tequila shots. Felt bad but I know at this stage it makes no difference. Really hope this week goes fast so I know whether I am pregnant for xmas or not...

NChangeForNoReason · 02/12/2019 22:54
