Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

@Mumofboys17 oh I would definitely say you are covered!! Me and my OH only DTD one on the first static smiley day and twice on flashing smiley so we definitely didn't do it enough!! I'm really really trying so hard not to symptom spot or be as desperate to get a BFP before Christmas...

I've got my idea for telling OH when we do get a BFP though. Definitely decided I'm going to surprise him. I'm away with work from the day AF is due for 3 days so I'm going to test last day I'm away. If it's BFP I'm going to get loads of little baby related items and put them in a box. As he gets deeper in the box the clues will be more obvious. Maybe going to put a little pair of shoes and a baby grow saying 'I love my daddy' or something. Sounds really cheesy I know but I want to put thought into it (he loves stuff like that) and last time we found out it was absolutely awful and just a shitty situation in general. We've done the POAS together and he said it was the worst way of 'it being presented' ever 😂😂😂😂😂

Now off to brunch, dp watching football later so gonna catch up with some housework, still been having cramps and sore boobs from ovulation..

Morning all x how is everyone?
I’m 4DPO today. I felt the most bizarre twinges in my pelvic area on the right hand side yesterday, it was almost like little electric shocks and lasted for about 2 minutes x God knows what that was, but knowing full well it’s too early for implantation, I am kidding myself it’s in any way related x
I have done an OPK out of curiosity today and for some reason it’s showing quite a good line and the LH level shows higher than the day before my peak x anyone else notice such thing on their opks post ovulation?

I’ve amended my apps to say I ovulated yesterday (obviously I don’t know that for certain but there’s no way it could be weds/thurs as they’re predicting now) so says I can test on 14th now instead of 19th 😬 however if that is the case, my fertile week was the week just gone and we only DTD twice 😕 I’m still in denial, think I’ll just keep DTD whenever we can until AF shows 😂

I’m a lot more excited for Xmas this year too! I blame this thread 😂😘

@Sunflower2019 looks like you've had lots of baby dancing you're definitely in for a chance 😂😂

I really want some advise if you or anyone on here knows? If I've gone straight to a solid smile on the advanced opks when am I more likely to ovulate? We dtd yesterday(we didn't dtd at all before that) if we do it today and tomorrow do you think we have a good chance?

It's annoying that I didn't get flashing smileys as I would have had a pre warning if you will to start bding!

@Mumofboys17 mine lasted all morning but has gone now. My poor husband was looking forward to having today off (how things change eh!) But maybe we should just in case!

@Ellsbells112 I wouldn't worry. I've read before that your peak can happen the same time as your high which is why it goes straight to static. If you get a static you are then due to ovulate in the next 24-36 hours so you should dtd for the next 3 days.

@Beau2019 love that present idea.. I’m not gonna tell dp if I get BFP until Boxing Day (it’s gonna be hard) gonna buy a little Xmas box and put all the tests in it and some baby bits 💗 we can wish hey x

@Ellsbells112 I’ve heard that happens to a lot of people, a quick surge so prob gonna ovulate in the next day 🤞💞

@Mumofboys17 I’d definitely say you ovulated already, can’t hurt to keep doing it tho 😊

Went food shopping had brunch and have since been sitting on the toilet with such a dodgy stomach.. good job dp is watching football, he thinks I’m cleaning the bathroom 🥴

@Sunflower2019 I reckon I have! So weird, never happens normally! 😂 managed to grab a quick 20mins when DS1 fell asleep earlier so we’ve DTD today anyway, not even sure if it’s the right timing now but made me feel like I’d done something 😬

@Symptomspotter86 funny since I read your earlier post I had some mild lower back cramps, but probably over thinking it. Haha I know what you mean!! I put DS1 down for a nap and DH was already in the bedroom, I shut the door and just gave him ‘the look’ and he practically rolled his eyes and said ‘really? Now?’ 😂😂😂😂

@SarahMS what happened in the end with the opks? Mine are still dark, done one today and it came up straight away, my surge never lasts this long!

So we didn’t manage to DTD yesterday as DH’s sister was round when DC was napping and then DC wouldn’t nap again during the day and didn’t go down until 8, by which point we were too knackered. Did it this morning but might be too late. Testing around 10 Dec but not at all hopeful

What dates is everyone testing on? AF should be due around 11th for me but might be later this month as ovulation was on friday/Saturday I think. But think I'm going to test on 11th anyway... if I can hold out that long

@Symptomspotter86 AF due 10th but if no sign I'm going to test 11th at the earliest

@symptomspotter86 AF due 12th for me, if apps are predicting correctly. I’m going to try and resist until then. I’m a poas addict though

@Quiffy yeah last month was my first month TTC and I think I did about 9 tests which is ridiculous. Didnt help that af was 2 weeks late for the first time ever.... this month I think the earliest I will test is 11DPO which is 10th December.

@symptomspotter86 no wonder you were testing so much! We can stay strong and hopefully get an early Christmas present:)

@Sunflower2019 mine have just started slightly fading now, it was dark for 4 days and today is the 5th day they're still not super light but it's a def negative, it's my first time using OPKs so I'm not sure if this always happens to me. I also don't know how to plan bd? I've done it for 4days in a row since I had the first positive but I don't know if to carry on tonight? Xx
