Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

This was mine first thing this morning (top pic) 😬 definitely an improvement on the last test! The app registered the reading as ‘high’ as well so hoping my window is finally approaching!! 🤞🏻

@MotherofKitties are you putting up the tree today? We’re going to do ours at some point this weekend. Very excited!! Although I’m sure the cats will steal all the decorations and eat the tinsel 😹

@Mumofboys17 you going to test this afternoon and tonight? I’m gonna do another cheapy one later... hopefully dp gets home before my daughter does and we can quickly dtd.. although he’ll think I’m using him.. oh well xxx

@Quiffy I’m off to buy all my decs tomorrow.. going for a white and silver theme! I’ve even bought white fluffy sofa cushions 😂 mad woman! Xxx

I'm 2DPO today. I feel torn between convincing myself that it is not our month and the fact that we DTD twice on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday then missed what I believe was O day and DTD last night, so surely we're in with a chance?! I am actually starting to feel down at the moment, it's been 6 months since I came off the pill and the fact that I would be 18 weeks now if I didn't miscarried is just overwhelming :( I know 6 months is nothing in comparison to some of the lovely ladies trying for couple of years without success, but I just cannot help myself feeling a bit down about it. I would love to give my OH a child and giving my parents a grandchild would be an absolute dream come true. At the moment nobody knows we're trying, didn't want to give anyone false hope, so having you ladies here makes it feel a bit less of a lonely journey x I think I'm going to be an absolute pain in this TWW!

@Sunflower2019 I forgot to bring a test with me to work today so will test when I’m home (around 6pm ish) and we’ll DTD tonight anyway. Didn’t last night but obviously did in the morning 😂 so figured that’s half covered it for now but gearing up for the every day phase #ReturnOfTheFannyBurn 😬👍🏻
Btw I’m also going for silver theme With my Xmas decs this year!!

@Katie1109 You are definitely in with a chance! Try and keep busy during the TWW else you’ll drive yourself mad thinking about it, totally normal to feel a bit down a shit about it too btw. It’s such hard work, mentally and physically! Think you’ve done the right thing keeping it from friends/family though as once they know they will be forever asking ‘how it’s going’ 😐 do talk to someone though, whether it’s your OH or on here, you need to vent xx

@Quiffy Going to start putting up the decorations tomorrow but I've got the mulled wine and mince pies in preparation for putting up the tree so feeling excited to that; although like you I've got to battle with my two cats who see the Christmas tree as some kinds of Mecca cat toy so it's always a battle of the wills when the baubles go on!

@Sunflower2019 DTD as soon as possible, if you can't DTD tonight and again tomorrow morning if you get a chance to! I conceived straight away with my LO when I got my static smiley, and while it didn't work out this month, I had a static smiley a few weeks ago too so these tests clearly know what's happening! Xx

@Katie1109 that's exactly how I came off the implant 6 months ago too :( it's my first time so I thought I would share it with my family but I regret that because I know they're just waiting for me to break the news one day and I'm scared it's never gonna happen :(

Also SMEP guys I've got positive OPK yesterday and the day before and I dtd both days but yesterday was stronger than the day before so shall I go as Wednesday as my first positive OPK or yesterday? As I need to do the three in a row bd? I'm confused hope that made sense lol cx

@katie1109 I so feel you on the grandchildren. I’m an only child so I know it’s just me that’s standing between my parents and grandchildren :( then I totally freak myself out that my DH and I won’t get the chance to be grandparents ourselves as we had kids late.

We’re both on 2dpo and we both have a chance for sure. Fingers crossed ❤️❤️

@MotherofKitties that sounds blissful. We’ve got 4 so tree is always fun. Although I’m hoping the perch I bought them today bribes them into leaving it alone...

My DH and I are having a date afternoon/evening where we’re both very excited to not be DTD (oh how times have changed). We’ve got some Tesco party food, he’s going to drink gin and play Call of Duty and I’m going to crochet and binge watch Kistie’s Handmade Christmas. Perhaps this TWW won’t be so bad!

@Quiffy I know right :( I am not the only child, got a sister and a brother but I am the oldest and I’m getting to the point where I know full well my Mum and Dad are expecting to be grandparents too. They don’t push me or make comments about it which seems like they don’t apply any pressure, but I know deep inside they’re silently waiting and it’s just stresses me out x I am also afraid to be alone when I get older, I have a childless family member whose husband was taken away from us way too early and they never had kids, I look at her and just can’t help but see myself 30 years down the road :(

Well just done smu and my cheapy ones is super dark so they’ve matched up quite well! I’ll insert a piccy of this morning and smu one!

@Sunflower2019 Ohh nice!! Lovely positive opk there! Hehe, I still haven't got a positive just a blank circle lol I'm really hoping I get one soon though because OH needs to go away for work for 2 days next week, my app says I'll ovulate on Tuesday ffs I'm hoping we don't miss it!! I'm okay though thanks going away on the 11th so this week coming will fly by I bet! How are you? Best get down to dtd! Haha

@Sunflower2019 that's amazing, so pleased you got your static! I would focus on sooner being better. Tonight/today is better than tomorrow evening.

@Ellsbells112 Are you doing cheapy ones too? Mine suddenly comes from no where.. it’s crazy! Just keep dtd as much as you can until he’s away as sperm lives for a few days in good conditions!!! My af is gonna be earlier now. I’m so jel about you going away!!! Def need to start saving for a holiday 😍 xx

Got a flashing smiley on OPK yesterday but Clue said wasn't going to ovulate until Monday so DH and I didn't DTD last night as we were both knackered and couldn't be bothered. Did another OPK this morning and got a bloody static smiley - gah!!!!! So DH came home mid morning when DC was down for a nap and we DTD but he's out tonight so we won't manage it due to DC's tea/bathtime/bed routine as DH has to meet his mates about 7!

Going to DTD tomorrow but DH's sister popping round at what would normally be DC's nap time so somehow have to get rid of her politely after an hour or so!

So AF due 11 Dec at the moment I think. But got to DTD a few more times this cycle first and really expecting it to take some time.

We got pregnant 1st time the 1st time we tried (I was 38 then) but lost that to a MMC at 9.5 weeks. Then got pregnant on 4th cycle when we started trying again (by which point I was 39) and that resulted in DC. So was lucky last time but 2 years have passed since then and so a lot can change in that time, especially at my age!

Guys so it's going on 3 days and my line is not getting any lighter. Is this normal ??? Xx

@SarahMS those bottom two definitely look positive to me, in the past I’ve had roughly 3 days of dark OPK’s in a row so I’d say it’s fairly normal xx

Update for me, today’s OPK’s
Still not quite positive but definitely getting there! I reckon I might ovulate a couple days early this cycle 🤞🏻 Hopefully be in the TWW slightly sooner than I’d hoped! X
