Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

@Skyla01 @Mrsrobinson247 @SarahMS I know you wanted to join.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

TTC #1 (2nd pregnancy)
Cycle #2
AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

@Motherofkitties I'm so sorry hunny. You cry as much as you need to cry!!!! Xxxx

Quiffy · 28/11/2019 19:06

@MotherofKitties so sorry for you both ❤️ I agree with everyone else, you cry as much as you need. Thinking of you lots tonight xx

MotherofKitties · 28/11/2019 19:09

Thank you all ❤️ xxx

Quiffy · 28/11/2019 19:14

@Beau2019 the legs up is definitely new for me, I’ve read you should have 30 mins with legs up and ankles crossed, hips on pillow. Then you should roll over and lie on your front for 10 mins. I doubt it makes any difference but it makes me feel like I’m doing more haha. Before TTC it was a race to the loo 😹

I really have no idea why I spent over a decade trying not to get preggers. Now I’m TTC it feels like you need the planets to align, a sacrificial goat and to be a contortionist with your legs up in the air. Surprised we’re not all bonkers.

Symptomspotter86 · 28/11/2019 19:41

Hooray got my static smiley this evening. Glad I decided to test twice a day as got flashing this morning and would have probably waited till tomorrow morning to DTD so now it is all systems go...

@Quiffy that really made me chuckle. I always think that, I'm 33 and spent the last 15 years really trying not to get pregnant. Now I'm worried the short time between getting a static now to bedtime might mean I've missed the window.... sends us all crazy I swear

Tenerife12 · 28/11/2019 19:48

That’s funny..... 😂😂😂
Oh sooo pleases u have static smily !!!
How many times u gonna try ?? I have dtd this morning do I go again tonight or tomorrow morning ?

FirsttimeTTC · 28/11/2019 20:26

@MotherofKitties I’m so sorry for you both. Look after yourself & cry all you want ❤️ Thinking of you xxx

ohreally2019 · 28/11/2019 20:37

@MotherofKitties so sorry to read it's not been good news for you today, it is so disappointing, be good to yourself over the next few days x

Beau2019 · 28/11/2019 20:41

@MotherofKitties so so sorry to here this 😩 sending you a massive hug and no! You are totally not an idiot!!

This is what really worries me with testing early. I'm going to make a pact with myself now not to test until I am at least 3 days over due AF. Last time I didn't even check until a week after AF was due. It's worrying that tests like FRER promote this and it's not a good idea! As you said if you didn't test early then you'd probably know no different.

MrsA2019 · 28/11/2019 21:24

@MotherofKitties really sorry to hear your news and totally normal to feel like you do. Fingers crossed you can have a restful night

@Beau2019 definitely legs up these days!!

Symptomspotter86 · 28/11/2019 21:32

@Tenerife12 I think tonight and maybe tomorrow morning if we leave enough time before work. I've heard that you shouldn't do it more than once day though as the sperm needs time to regenerate. But who knows if that is just a myth??

Tenerife12 · 28/11/2019 21:55

Ok so we have just dtd!! With 12 hours apart 🙌🙌

I think go tonight and tomorrow that what I’m gonna do but maybe Tom afternoon before kids come out of school xxxx

Sunflower2019 · 28/11/2019 21:57

@Beau2019 b 😂 I just get up and do my thing as usual as I’ve read there’s scientific research that says the right swimmers are up there in seconds.. so 🤷‍♀️ Although tonight I was watching Benjamin button after tea and felt it run out.. had to quickly run upstairs, dp thought I had a dodgy tummy 😂😂

@MotherofKitties omg I am so sorry to hear this, that’s awful news, lots of hugs 💗

@Ellsbells112 Hey girl! Im cd12 and the same no positive opk and still flashing smiley ... ffs! I want to be in the tww already! How are you? Men hey, my dp was actually much nicer tonight, think I’ve scared him! How are you? You’re away soon aren’t you?

So I’m getting up tomorrow doing my clearblue thing then off shopping to buy some new house bits and Xmas decs, there’s a home bargains and b&m that’s opened near me, well about 25 min drive.

I’ve got work tomorrow eve and Saturday eve but managed to dtd this evening just incase 🤞

Sunflower2019 · 28/11/2019 21:58

@Tenerife12 all bases covered! I’m wondering whether I’m meant to do every other or just as much as poss?!

Tenerife12 · 28/11/2019 22:07

I would say just do it as much as u can x
Have fun trying too !!! X x
🥰🥰

Bluejan · 29/11/2019 00:43

So glad I found this thread, could really do with some support this month.

DH and I are both 29. This is our 13th month ttc our first baby.

DH possibly has low sperm motility (to be confirmed with a retest next week). This month is our first try using an at home insemination kit...hoping it's the one! Currently 3dpo.

Nice to 'meet' you all Smile

Tenerife12 · 29/11/2019 06:25

Nice to meet u hun😁
Fingers crossed to for u x x x x
WhTs af due?

Bluejan · 29/11/2019 07:01

Thanks! AF is due on December 10th. Too early for me to start symptom spotting, but got a blood test on Tues to confirm ov.

@MotherofKitties just read back properly. So sorry to hear your news. Agree with some of the others, let it out and cry as much as you need to XXX

@Quiffy Your post struck a chord and made me
giggle. Wish I could go back and tell younger me to stop worrying because getting pregnant later is going to be a mission!

MotherofKitties · 29/11/2019 07:03

Well, two negative tests this morning, digital and standard, and after having very heavy AF-like all night I'd say that's firmly that.

@Beau2019 I know what you mean, and after this I'm never testing early again. I will definitely be waiting until at least after my period should have finished before I take a test so I can avoid a repeat of the last 48hrs. Whilst I know early testing doesn't always end up the way it has for me this time, sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Good luck to everyone else testing in the next couple of weeks, let's hope for some happy positives and early Christmas presents Smile xxx

Quiffy · 29/11/2019 07:20

Welcome @bluejan! Our AF dates are similar. The joys of the TWW. Fingers crossed for the blood test

Quiffy · 29/11/2019 07:22

@MotherofKitties ignorance is definitely bliss. We can put ourselves through so much at times. Lots of baby dust for your next cycle ❤️

Mumofboys17 · 29/11/2019 07:22

@MotherofKitties just wish there was something I could say that would make you feel remotely better 🙁
I agree with pp’s I ALWAYS test too early! The cycle before I did fall pregnant the first time I had a missed miscarriage, faint positive on FRER, but then near enough negative the day after.. 2 day’s later I had the worst bleed and cramps I think I’ve ever had, clots, the lot. It hurts because I know in my heart of hearts what happened, but in my case there was light at the end of the tunnel eventually.
It WILL happen for you. It feels like forever and impossible right now but you are allowed to feel this way and deal with it however you see fit to ❤️❤️

MotherofKitties · 29/11/2019 07:53

Thanks @Mumofboys17 and @Quiffy

And I'm sorry you had to go through that @Mumofboys17. It can be so emotional this whole TTC business, even when it turns out the way we want to.

After getting the two further negative tests this morning I feel like I can now draw a line under it; despite what the hospital said part of me still had a glimmer of hope, but after the tests this morning that just reconfirms what they said so I know that's it now.

I'm just going to focus on my next cycle now, start getting ready for Christmas and eat my own body weight in mince pies while I put up the Christmas tree, so I've got all that to look forward to Smile xx

Katie1109 · 29/11/2019 08:01

@MotherofKitties I'm so sorry for your loss hun x I have gone through exactly the same in August, I know how you feel x please don't give up, but at the same time don't force yourself and try to feel OK, take your time to recover and spend some quality time with your OH x I won't lie, you will never forget this horrible experience, but don't let it define you x
Sending lots of virtual hugs and mountains of understanding x and fingers crossed for your next cycle x

Sunflower2019 · 29/11/2019 08:20

Morning ladies,

Hope everyone is doing okay!

Hugs to @MotherofKitties I had two mc a few years back and had a chemical last month, wish id never tested as I was such a mixture of emotions and then to have to spend another month going through it I felt like giving up! Have a nice relaxing day.

So today I got up expecting another flashing smiley and I got my first ever static, also done a cheapy one to compare. When do I dtd? I done it last night but is tonight worth it or will swimmers be okay? Or leave it till tomorrow but dp is out drinking tomorrow day with work.

I’ll enclose my piccy!

Xx
