Hi girls! I know we wanted to start a thread for the ones who didn't get their BFP this month.

Anyone else welcome to join us on our conception journey and looking to test around 2nd week in December.

AF due around 9th September

This is my 1st month using OPKs - anyone got any advice on when to start testing?

@Beau2019 I think bottom line is there is no right or wrong way to do it really. I feel a bit more confident to make a deal of it this time as the first time was a shock to the system! I also feel like I’m getting a bit ahead of myself here.... 😬😂😂
There’s something I really like though about being the only one who would know for just a little while. Once it’s out there, it’s out there.

Hi every one, I’m not sure if I’m in the right thread. I’m ttc baby no.3 and AF has just finished so hoping to be testing on the third week in December xx

Just a quick update. Got my peak early afternoon, just tested again not long ago and it seems to be going down already. What does that mean? Anyone know how soon after peak do we ovulate? x

@Katie1109 I'd say both the last two are positives, so even though it says high it's still a stronger line than the control IMO. Generally you'll ovulate 24-36 hours after the LH surge and the egg will live for about 24 hours, so the next 48 hours are prime baby making time. Good luck x

I think I’ll wait till the week after the 8th as last time I miscarried at 6 weeks so don’t want the same to happen

@Mango31, I think I’ll wait till week after the 8 as miscarried in October at 6 weeks , I am feeling different already but it’s more than likely in my head

@Fredthespider thanks a lot x my OH has been informed that I’ve got an egg which is ready to meet some new mates...well at least 1!! x we DTD 3 times since Sunday morning, I knew my O day is coming so a bit of extra practice doesn’t hurt x but today and tomorrow is a must x

Cd11 and another flashing smiley.. day 4. Dp and I managed to dtd last night but then argued and went to bed not speaking... all because he shaves and leaves such a mess, and expects me to clean it up, I’m not a house wife! I still work and do all the cleaning in the home and pay half the rent.. anyway rant over 🤦🏽‍♀️

Just having a quick bath then off to work, should think it’s going to be quite a busy day!

How many dpo are you now? I'm either 3 or 4 but I feel the same :/ I've never had a bfp so no idea what to expect. I wish it wasn't two weeks to find out and it was just an instant thing!

My OH used to do this too, except he shaved BY THE MIRROR ON THE LANDING CARPET and never used to clean it up. Now for some weird miracle he does it in the bathroom AND totally washes it all away - there is hope for yours 😂

I think it is officially the tww for me! Did an OPK yesterday morning and last night and one line was reallyyyy faint so ovulation must have happened yesterday. Although weird this month because I hardly had any ovulation pains.

@Amy213 so sorry to hear about that 😩 I think if you got past 6 weeks this time and you were pregnant you'd maybe know. Don't worry too much about miscarrying again and just keep positive and and enjoy it if and when you find out 😘

I had a weird early period in November so I am now due AF on 16th December rather than more towards Christmas day. I'm CD 14 today and my peak OPKs started yesterday so DTD and getting ready for the TWW.

This is cycle 3 for us properly trying and would be lovely to have BFP for Christmas. Love the idea some of you had for giving the postitive as a christmas eve gift to partners. My DH is usually pushing me out the way to read the tests first though hehe

@Beau2019 I do have to think are men all the same 😂 don’t start on sock fluff!

Exciting times for you in the 2ww but symptom spotting them begins! I never really get symptoms of ovulation but I’m on my flashing and literally getting ready for work and sorry if tmi but loads of watery discharge came out? I also have tender breasts today and feel abit off... is this normal pre ovulation? I’m having some cramps on the right side! I’m gonna take a cheap opk to work to do later!

Welcome @Quiffy aah your partner seems really involved which is nice, mines very casual but I think a Christmas present BFP would be amazing! It’s a big group so someone has go too!!!

I'm glad to see others having fun with partners and bathroom mess. I could murder my DH every time he gets out the shower. I don't know about anyone else, but once I've got out the shower I just put a towel around me and... like naturally dry as I'm getting ready in our bedroom? Not DH though, he has a full-on samba with his towel - like REALLY rigorous toweling - which showers the bathroom in towel floof and hair. Drives me nuts. I'll nag him and he stops for a few weeks and then the cycle starts again. I blame him mum - he says she always told him it was dangerous to not be totally dry from head to toe before putting clothes on. DANGEROUS hahahaha.

@Sunflower2019 I've never really noticed pre-ovulation symptoms before but I also noticed a lot of fluid down there this month. My app seemed to think this was wonderful though!

@Quiffy at least yours does it in the bathroom my DH steps out onto the carpet in the landing and dries off there and puts the damp towel onto the carpet floor or even worse the bed !!! Leaving everything cold and damp! I'm getting angry just thinking about it! He did it last night again so we haven't spoken all night!

Morning all, how is everyone doing? I believe it it my ovulation day today x I had my peak yesterday, it didn’t last very long, this morning I’m back to low LH x we managed to DTD last night and I’m feeling very much up for it today as well so it’s definitely happening lol x is it normal to go from quite a high peak back to low in around 12 hours? x

This cracks me up 😂😂😂 my dp also leaves his coffee mug and cereal bowl on the living room floor for me clear up and a pile of dirty washing either in lounge or bedroom floor... I’m not joking there was enough pubic hair around the toilet rim last night for me to make 12 wigs! I said to him did you not notice it all? 😂

Anyway I reckon I’m definitely going to ovulate earlier with these symptoms.. 🤞 which will mean a shorter cycle which is much better!!!

Welcome @MrsHav and @Quiffy!

I got so excited today when I got my peak on the CB. It's CD15 which is a whole 3 days earlier than last month when I got it on the afternoon of CD18 (morning was just high). Even more pleased we managed to DTD last night and we're going to finish work early today to get a sneaky session in before nursery pick up. Things look like they're going back to normal!

@SarahMS That is awful! I wouldnt be speaking to him either.

@Sunflower2019 12 wigs!!! hehe. I couldnt cope with a cereal bowl on the floor. There'd be a murder.

@Katie1109 @fredthespider Happy ovulation day! Fingers crossed for strong swimmers.

@Quiffy towel samba!!! 😂😂😂😂 dead! My DH is the same!! However even after doing that he always gets into bed every night with wet hair, without fail!! 😐 How??!! Drives me insane.

I think all men really are the same!! DH said to me the other day ‘you don’t do as much housework as you think you do’ 😐 really!! Only this morning he asked me where his work uniform was and whether I’d done any washing for DS1 yesterday 🤔😂😂 I love him dearly but I do despair.

Still very much negative OPK’s for me, but it’s still very early days in my cycle. Getting impatient already and not even in the TWW!

Looks positive to me! I use femometer where you can put your OPK in as a picture and it tells you whether it thinks your test is peak, high or low. It's been a big help to me this month :)
