Two week wait...again

BabyB19 · 22/10/2019 15:28

Hi mums/mumstobe, I’m currently in the two week wait after having a MMC (missed miscarriage) in June at 12 weeks. After a 10 week bleed I have settled into what seems to be a normal cycle again appx27/28 days. I’m saying I’m in the two week wait but I’m unsure if I’ve even OV. Anyone want to keep me company as I’m going out of my mind and feel like I’m boring the real people in my life 🤦🏽‍♀️

@babyb19 what time of day are you doing you opk mine has gone from a strong line to a weaker one hence the feeling of feeling out but wondering if it is because the first was in afternoon and weak in the morning. In one post someone said tests before af should be done in afternoon but everything I read says first morning. Are you testing tomorrow? I went to a party last night and had a very weak glass of wine with lemonade but could have easily drank the bottle but couldn’t help thinking what if. The witch is due Halloween but I’m hoping she doesn’t come x

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 09:29

I have tested in the morning too @Jonesbabynumber1 and I'm on the same cycle as you so due hallowe'en. A post on another thread just said her giveaway for bfp was excess saliva and I have that by the bucket full atm (gross I know sorry) but I never knew that was a symptom so I'm still clinging on

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/10/2019 09:42

@baby19 that sounds positive. I’m trying not to symptom spot at moment x

Gr1ff · 27/10/2019 11:38

1 week to go until test day 😁

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 16:09

How exciting @Gr1ff I don't know how you're hanging in there! 🤩

Evening all, babyb19 how you finding the wait? I’ve tried to stay busy and done a bit of shopping to take my mind off the wait but it’s so hard. Was going to wait until AF arrived but I can see me testing tomorrow morning. How about you?

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 16:42

Hi @Jonesbabynumber1 I'm ok thank you, I will probably keep testing. I have just started a new thread about ICs vs FRER as I've been reading a lot about people getting bfns on ICs and very clear results on other brands so I'm going to see what that comes up with and maybe invest in something else tomorrow x

OP posts:
siaa · 27/10/2019 16:44

@BabyB19 yeah I would recommend switching as I've never had an early result with ICs, I think you have to be further along to get a result which is so frustrating!

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 16:51

Thanks @siaa I'm going to buy some tomorrow and see how I get on, currently wondering if I can hold my wee until I get to work and pick one up on the way there 🤣

OP posts:
siaa · 27/10/2019 16:54

@BabyB19 haha give it a go! Oh god I think I'd wet myself 😂 let us know how you get on, everything crossed for you x

Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/10/2019 16:56

@babyb19 yes defo worth getting first response as what I’ve ready they are most accurate. I haven’t used IC for testing before AF. Could be a long shot if you can’t hold it use a cup and dip. Hoping for baby dust for us both. I’m trying not to symptom spot but I’ve got some weird twinges going on and this morning had strange burning in nipples tmi I know. Any thing more for you except the Sylvia? How you feeling @siaa?

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 16:57

@siaa thank you so much! I think if I buy a proper test and it's bfn tomorrow I'm pretty much out for the month so I'll be keeping everything crossed x

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/10/2019 16:58

I’ve also started reading old posts of people to see if they get BFP or not any one else do it. I hope we get BFP and in future this post helps someone

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 16:59

@Jonesbabynumber1 I had really sharp stabbing pains in my left boob yesterday but they have been fine today, a couple of twinges in the womb area today and still got the saliva but that's it really so nothing definite like sickness x

OP posts:
BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 17:01

@Jonesbabynumber1 I do that too, hopefully we'll get a couple of bfps in this group and help keep someone positive when they need it too ❤️

OP posts:
BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 17:03

@siaa I will be keeping everything crossed but mostly my legs 🤣🤣🤣

OP posts:
Jonesbabynumber1 · 27/10/2019 17:07

Yes fingers crossed it’s all positive symptoms for us. How long do they say not to pee for in the night as I get up most nights? Have you read any other tips for getting best sample like to drink or not drink before bed. I’ll do anything at moment.

siaa · 27/10/2019 17:10

@BabyB19 not out until AF shows though! Some people don't get a BFP until the day of their period.

@Jonesbabynumber1 I've been having little twinges for a few days and raging heartburn. The other symptoms I've been experiencing like tiredness and bloating could be down to the progesterone I'm taking so not counting those! Sorry I've only just seen your message from this morning. I totally agree with you, I'd have started a few years ago if I knew it could be this hard. I've told so many of my friends to get on with it ASAP in case they experience similar issues! Sorry to hear you had a CP. You're not out until AF shows so try to hold on, I hope your symptoms are a good sign x

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 17:14

I think we can try anything but the best thing is trying to exercise some patience which were all pretty rubbish at me in particular 🤣 @Jonesbabynumber1
I have told all my friends too @siaa I was going to wait as I have a loan I am paying which is quite high but I'm so glad I didn't now as I came off the pill in Feb and here we are 🤦🏽‍♀️

My mother in law was told by a psychic this week we would find out we were having a girl early next year, I'm not one for believing in this stuff but I'm clinging on to that atm!

OP posts:
siaa · 27/10/2019 17:19

@BabyB19 ahhh how weird let's hope it's a sign! I've been counting magpies like a nutter and worrying whenever I've seen a single one. Think I've finally lost it 🤪

I think anyone in this situation is impatient, I envy the people who get pregnant immediately and everything goes exactly to plan, they don't know how lucky they are. I think the best thing you can do is stay positive until it's definitely confirmed otherwise 😊 same, I'm glad we started last year, I'd tell anyone over the age of 30 to get on with it in case they struggle.

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 17:23

Omg @siaa me too! I've got a family of them in my garden at the minute and weirdly I haven't seen them since last time I was pg, I know it's a ridiculous thing to cling on to but whatever gives you comfort at this time I say!
I worked out today if we get pg this cycle our 12 week scan will be Boxing Day, what a present that would be for us all for Christmas!

OP posts:
siaa · 27/10/2019 17:24

@Jonesbabynumber1 yeah I've read SO. MANY. forums over the last 18 months. They have really helped me when I've been confused about what should be happening and when / what I should be doing and also when I've felt at my lowest during the darker days. It's nice to think that this conversation might help someone in future 🙂

siaa · 27/10/2019 17:26

@BabyB19 I KNOW!!! What a Christmas present but also what a nerve wracking Christmas Day!!

It's insane the things we cling onto isn't but every little helps to keep us feeling optimistic and you never know!

BabyB19 · 27/10/2019 17:32

@siaa I would definitely be paying for a private scan a few days before I couldn't not know on Christmas Day haha. Especially as mine was a MMC and I found out at 12 week scan so I would need some confirmation

OP posts:
siaa · 27/10/2019 17:37

@BabyB19 totally agree. My hospital offers reassurance scans earlier than 12w when you've had a MC so maybe see if yours does the same?
