Hi,

I’m 29 and trying for my first baby. I had a missed miscarriage at the end of August and have decided to try again.

Will be testing around 31 October/1 November (if I can last that long!) so come join if you’re in the same boat.

MindyStClaire · 28/10/2019 21:15

Oh lots of lovely news on this thread! Congratulations everyone Grin

Peytonmarie · 28/10/2019 22:46

@Whyhaveidonethis I hear you! We will be strong together! Every month is another disappointment but don’t give up, we are all here to vent and celebrate together ❤️

Whyhaveidonethis · 28/10/2019 23:19

@LazyDogFox @HugeAgeGap @Peytonmarie thank you. Its just so exhausting. I keep thinking next month we won't actively try but I'm super aware of my ovulation etc and wonder how I can forget.

AF is due Wednesday or Thursday if she is coming I wish she would just hurry up

Peytonmarie · 28/10/2019 23:37

@Whyhaveidonethis I’m right there with you, I can feel my ovulation. I tried to take a couple months off of the ovulation sticks and everything but my brain kept saying “maybe this is the month”

I made an appointment at a fertility clinic and have two tests that I have to complete but for some reason I’m reluctant to follow through.

Keep strong, keep messaging, we are all here. My AF is due right behind yours

OrangeHue · 29/10/2019 04:21

Welcome peyton and Sonja. The wait is the worst. Is there any reason you’re holding out til Halloween? You have much more restraint than me!

Im afraid not peyton. I had some cramping on Sunday and thought my period was on it’s way (turned out to be implantation) sore nipples is a good sign! I had that this time round and usually don’t during a regular cycle. Do let us know how you get on.

@Whyhaveidonethis thank you. I’ve woken up today and instantly think something’s wrong Bcos I’m not as achey as yesterday, logically I know I’m just being silly. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. 3cps is torture. I feel like I’ve just gone from worrying about whether I’ll get pregnant to whether I’ll be able to go full term- it’s a constant pool of worry.

I think we just need to remind ourselves it’s out of our hands. Will you test again today? If so, let us know how you get on.

As for me. It’s going to be a long three/months before I can relax (if I get that far)

Can I join in.

My period is due Saturday or sunday. At 33 to 34 days a cycle.

I ovulated around 19th 20th this month so I am roughly 9/10dpo.

I did a first response on sunday (I know to early) which was why it was negative. Also I did a rapid response which I heard had crazy high hormone levels.

Anyway non of my usual craps but I have had killer nipples they are standing to attention non stop and are so sensitive

MindyStClaire · 29/10/2019 06:39

BFN for me this morning at 9 dpo on a frer, so pretty sure that's me out.

But of course there is the faintest shadow of something for me to obsess over for the next two days. So faint I can't even tell if it's grey or pink. Honestly, I suspect I'm imagining it.

MindyStClaire · 29/10/2019 06:40

That sounds promising Rosie! Fingers crossed.

HarrietM87 · 29/10/2019 07:28

@MindyStClaire - 9dpo is so early! Don’t rule yourself out! Have you tried looking at the test in different lights etc 😉

7dpo for me and no symptoms that I can’t put down to the progesterone I’m taking. Going to hold off testing til 10dpo on Fri I think

MindyStClaire · 29/10/2019 07:35

Every light and every angle Harriet. Grin Time will tell. Will try again on Thursday, and have one last cheapy so might be tempted by that tomorrow.

sojo44 · 29/10/2019 09:38

Awwww such wonderful news on all the positives! It's made my day!! Sending you all my hugs and lots of flowers! 💐

I've just got to work and had some spotting. Hoping it's implantation but will see how it progresses.

Even if it's AF (🧙‍♀️) I'll take it as a massive win as it would be my first regular cycle non-induced period with PCOS, which gives me a bit of hope as well 💖

sojo44 · 29/10/2019 10:00

But it's definitely made me more impatient to know which one it is 🙈

SonjaMorgan · 29/10/2019 11:26

Congratulations on all the positives so far!

@OrangeHue I have used so many test over the last 6 months and all for disappointment. I saw this thread and thought Halloween could be a good date. It will stop me manically testing 3 times a day, never waited before but then my period has never been 4 days late before.

Nrbr16 · 29/10/2019 12:47

Hey 🖐
Can I join ?
I think about 9/11 dpo today. I'm usually a 28 day cycle but last month I was 7 days late for no apparent reason 🤷‍♀️
Been ttc since feb and had a mc in june at 7 weeks.
This is the only month I feel like iv had a hint of a symptom in my boobs being a bit tender/sensitive, but really only when i take my bra off! So I'm not convinced it's really a symptom. When I fell pregnant the first time my boobs were agony, had the cm, had nausea... fairly textbook from about 8dpo.
So anyway. Should be due about 1st of november. Driving me nuts 🙄🙄🙄

CL1982 · 29/10/2019 12:57

@Whyhaveidonethis I remember how rough it is ❤️ We had 11 months then a few mcs before I had my daughter. This feels like an anomaly for us. How old are you? Worth getting some 3 and 25 days bloods done at the Dr?

MrsD0147 · 29/10/2019 14:18

Hey @Nrbr16 i am similar to you! AF due Friday too. Fingers crossed for both of us

HarrietM87 · 29/10/2019 14:43

Good luck @MindyStClaire! I have good feelings!

I’m feeling overwhelmingly tired this afternoon...could be a symptom or could be because my 18 month old doesn’t know the clocks have changed and has been waking up at 5.30!!!

Peytonmarie · 29/10/2019 16:06

@OrangeHue I’m about 9 or 10 dpo right now so if I hold off it will delay that disappointed feeling if it is a BFN. I saw this thread and I’m hoping for the will power to hold off!!
If tested once before the thread but I think it was too early

Tdmama · 29/10/2019 19:11

Hi everyone,

My AF is due on 31st, I haven't done a test yet because I am worried it's too early and don't want to get disheartened! Anyone else in the same boat?

I've had mild cramping (much milder than usual! I cramp for a week before AF usually), I am also getting a weird taste in my mouth but not sure if I'm imagining it Hmm!!

I've usually got a 34 day cycle so tomorrow is day 34!! When should I test???

HarrietM87 · 29/10/2019 19:22

@Tdmama do you know when you ovulated? You could test today! And definitely once your period is late should be a conclusive result.

I have a short luteal phase (11 days) and have always got a bfp at 10dpo, so 2 days before my period is due, when I’ve been pregnant in the past, though they’ve been faint.

I’m going to test on Thursday at 9dpo with a cheapie and see if there’s any hope. Had resolved not to stress about this cycle as just had a mmc and didn’t really try, but it’s hard not to invest in it when you’re counting down the days!

Tdmama · 29/10/2019 21:25

@HarrietM87 thank you for your reply!

I think I ovulate at about day 25-27 and my cycle is 34 days so not long really, I think? Although I am new to all this!! I'm on cycle 6 since I had the coil removed but I didn't have a good understanding of my cycle until now!

I might test tomorrow!!! V scared of a BFN so I'm putting it off!!

When are you due to test?? Sending you lots of luck x

HarrietM87 · 29/10/2019 21:42

@Tdmama have you been using ovulation tests? There’s usually a gap of at least 10 days between ovulation and your period (called the luteal phase) so I’d guess you ovulate earlier than day 25-27 - more likely 20-24? Highly recommend opks if this isn’t your month, but good luck testing!
