TTC #2 September

Hello!

So after breastfeeding for 10months and not having a period since beau fell pregnant with my first baby (11.5months old) my period finally came back 16th Aug...11months after my daughter was born.
We had been trying for baby number 2 for a while but honestly it was so hard not knowing where I stood re ovulation and period. So I couldn't properly get into the swing of it lol.
Since my period returned, I have kept tracked using the ovia app, and we gave it a good jolly go all of last week when it said I should be ovulating (poor hubby didn't know what hit him hahahahah)!
I'm not expecting to be one of those lucky few (you know the ones who fall preg the first time!) but, thought it'd be nice to have some support from women going through the same journeys.

Ps, i don't know what all the abbreviations are in other threads I've seen so I may need help!

@sprintfinish when is AF due? Is it tomorrow?

Bleeding has pretty much stopped now so lasted lightly for all of 36 hours. I get how you feel, I hate not knowing!

Due on Saturday. My last period was a few days early. I tend to get that every 8 cycles or so, so not expecting it to be early this month. Although I really should learn that my body can be full of surprises!

Sounds like could have been implantation bleeding 🤞 when are you planning to test next?

Hey guys. I'm around 4dpo I think, last night got stabbing pains almost like a stitch across lower abdomen for about 20 minutes, took my breath away! Thought it might be wind but nothing came...now this morning had an aching right breast for 20 minutes 🙄 trying not to look too deeply into it 😭
@whambam89 that does sound like implantation bleeding!

@sprintfinish I'm not so sure, at first I thought it could be but now I feel like some of the symptoms have gone and I've convinced myself it's not my month. We go away tomorrow and I've packed a couple of tests so will probably test Saturday when AF was originally due. Will keep you updated.

Well I have a week to wait to see if the dreaded AF arrives 🙄 not really much to report at the min my boobs hurt and feel heavy and yesterday and today I have a dull aching in the bottom of my back but that could be my job as lifting people about isn’t light work lol hope your all ok and hanging on in there xxx

@whambam89 yep I feel the same, so frustrating that pregnancy and AF symptoms can be similar!! I'll probably test again on Friday and torture myself squinting trying to find a line!!

@vialarooski how are you doing? Did AF show up yesterday?

@whambam89 I'm due today, but no sign of AF atm. No cramps or anything. Had really bad backache yesterday though. It was my DD 1st bday yesterday and we had a little party at our house, by the end of the day I was so tired, everything ached! I've been so up and down, mood wise! One min I'm crying next I'm aggy and then super happy but I think that's down to AF. I'm not gonna test again, I don't feel Preggo. I'm kind of half expecting a late period this month, it's only my second period since I stopped breastfeeding so they are bound to be a bit unpredictable...if I'm more than a few days late then I'll test but you know when you just know....I know I'm not preggo.

Your bleeding sounds promising, surely it can't be down to AF so can only be implantation?

@vialarooski I don't think I would rule it out if I was you 🤞 but I completely get what you're saying!

My bleeding has completely stopped now and never got heavier than a light bleed but I feel like it was heavier than most people describe implantation bleeding so I think I'm probably out for this month. I suppose the bonus is AF won't appear on holiday and I can probably have a couple of cocktails (I will test again tomorrow / Saturday just to be sure though)

I think I'm out for this month 😔 just had some red spotting and mild cramps so won't be surprised if AF appears a day early. Buggar! Would have been too good to be true to conceive first try 🙁

@Sprintfish my son is also eight months and we are TTC no 2. We've been trying for a few months, although there isn't much opportunity... Either exhausted or baby starts crying

This is our #2 cycle of ttc for baby number 2 also! I fell pregnant with my daughter first time last time but just have a feeling its gonna take a lot longer this time!! Currently in the tww and im dying to test already (8dpo) I got a faint positive at 10dpo with my daughter so gonna test on saturday! Dont feel pregnant at all though😞 Good luck xxx

@liverbird77 haha I know what you mean, takes an extra bit of effort!! How we managed 5 times this cycle I don't know!

Have just added wine to our next shopping delivery, trying to find an upside!

I'm defo out for this cycle, tested today, BFN! So here we go again 😂

@vialarooski me too, BFN this morning 😕 if it was implantation earlier in the week I should definitely have had a BFP by now. Strange that my cycle was so short this month but onwards and upwards and time to start trying for Oct!

@Vialarooski and @whambam89 all in the same boat then 😔 I'm 3 days in to AF now, cycles have gone from 32 days after baby down to 28. Suppose brightside less time to wait next month!

DS is 2 years and 3 months. OH and I have properly committed to trying for #2.

This is our 2nd month of trying... just waiting for AF to arrive now... if it does. Think it will... hope not... gah!

@eleanor1984 I'm more disappointed than I thought I'd be! 😬 Thought it would be different given I've got a baby, but feel the same as I did when AF appeared and was trying to conceive him! Always such an emotional time apparently!

3 days according to Flo sprint 🤐 I know what you mean about being more disappointed this time around. Somehow more disappointing, like it should be easier second time? 😂😂

Already getting some signs of spotting and the usual desire to eat everything in my fridge that I usually get.

Trying to keep my logical head on. Took 7 months to conceive DS so should be about the same, perhaps a little longer now I'm older. So logically I know... but I just want a positive... NOW!! 😂😂

@Sprintfinish I think it's because realistically for us financially we really need to wait another few months and the conversations with my husband the last couple of days have really helped. He has been very supportive this time round.
I feel your pain and I'm sure the longer we try the more upset I'll get. I know everyone says it but try and remember the less stressed you are the better. Xx

Hahaha yep! I was hoping I'd still be extra fertile but apparently not!

@sprintfinish relaxing in the sun is definitely helping but the disappointment is so real! Typical of my cycle to play games as soon as we start TTC!

Fingers crossed for us all for October 🤞 according to flo I'll be ovulating again next weekend so the last few days of the holiday I'll hopefully be nice and relaxed and DTD a few times just before ovulation and over the weekend

So I might be going crazy but I took another test this morning just to give it another couple of days and I'm sure I can see the faintest line. I only brought 2 tests away with me so now I've got to wait until Friday when I'm home to test again 😭
