Hello!

So after breastfeeding for 10months and not having a period since beau fell pregnant with my first baby (11.5months old) my period finally came back 16th Aug...11months after my daughter was born.
We had been trying for baby number 2 for a while but honestly it was so hard not knowing where I stood re ovulation and period. So I couldn't properly get into the swing of it lol.
Since my period returned, I have kept tracked using the ovia app, and we gave it a good jolly go all of last week when it said I should be ovulating (poor hubby didn't know what hit him hahahahah)!
I'm not expecting to be one of those lucky few (you know the ones who fall preg the first time!) but, thought it'd be nice to have some support from women going through the same journeys.

Ps, i don't know what all the abbreviations are in other threads I've seen so I may need help!

@vialarooski 3rd month here too and AF has shown up today. My cycles seem to have been all over the place since we decided to start trying which is making everything even more difficult. You will get your BFP don't worry 😘

Wrigleys123 · 29/10/2019 14:14

On day 29 here so just waiting for AF! Don't expect it to happen so not got any expectations really. I think the longer I try and don't conceive the more I just think I'll stick with one child GrinHalloween Grin

Wrigleys123 · 31/10/2019 08:54

I'm out again! Think I'm going to have to have some tests done now this age gap is getting bigger and bigger! Good luck to everyone for next month Smile

Vialarooski · 12/11/2019 09:33

Hi everyone! How are you all doing this month?
I'm in my fertile week at the moment, does anyone else get really bloated during their ovulation week? And crampy!
Also feel like everyone around me is either pregnant or just announced a pregnancy, which I'm happy about but also wondering if it'll ever happen for me again!

Wrigleys123 · 12/11/2019 09:53

Hi Viala I'm also in my fertile week! I do get ovulation cramps but that is quite normal for some people I think.

I have been for some private tests that confirmed pcos and a polyp? so now waiting to see what to do next, feel like I should have gone sooner instead of waiting a year and hoping for the best! Meanwhile my daughter is getting older and the age gap is getting bigger!

Hope this is your month fingers x'd for you!

Vialarooski · 12/11/2019 10:08

Oh @Wrigleys123, sorry to hear that. Did you have any other symptoms? A friend of mine has PCOS and she's trying for her second at the moment too. How are you feeling?
This is our 4th month of trying and I have said to myself when we get to 6months and no luck, I'm going to talk to the doctor.

Wrigleys123 · 12/11/2019 12:54

It took me 7 months with my first so you will be pregnant in no time I reckon!

I feel ok thanks as I was told before that I have PCO but not PCOS so I can still conceive it just might take clomid or something. I just feel bad that my daughter won't have a sibling close in age but I know that is silly thinking as there's only a few years between me and my brother and we never played together anyway!

Sprintfinish · 12/11/2019 17:33

Hi all, I got my BFP last week at 3+4 😁 still can't quite believe it.

Hope you all get a BFP very soon xx

Wrigleys123 · 13/11/2019 14:01

Congrats @sprintfinish that's brilliant! Hope you're not feeling too sick!

Vialarooski · 13/11/2019 15:36

@Sprintfinish oh wow congratulations!!!! That's fab news x

@sprintfinish amazing news, congratulations!

Sprintfinish · 13/11/2019 23:03

Thank you all xxx

Vialarooski · 14/11/2019 12:10

Did you have an inkling @Sprintfinish before you tested? ➕

OP posts:
Sprintfinish · 14/11/2019 15:35

I had spotting on Tuesday, pinker than usual, and slight cramping. AF wasn't due till Sunday so started to get hopeful it was implantation bleeding. Didn't expect positive test on the Thursday as so early so was delighted. Bought clear blue test in afternoon to double check as DP wasn't trusting of my Amazon cheapie!

whambam89 · 16/11/2019 13:31

@sprintfinish so happy for you. I'm 8 dpo and had light cramping yesterday which has worn off a bit today. AF not due until Friday but it's hard for me to get my hopes up when my cycles have been all over the place recently. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy 😘

Sprintfinish · 18/11/2019 16:39

@whambam89 are your cycles still acting up? So frustrating! Fingers crossed for no AF on Friday xx

whambam89 · 18/11/2019 17:41

@sprintfinish yep! Before TTC they were always 30/31 days and the last 3 cycles I've had 24 / 26 / 23 days 🙄 currently on day 22, Flo app has now changed my estimated cycles to be 26 days so Friday will be day 26

Vialarooski · 19/11/2019 13:00

When is everyone's next test day? Mine in Monday but not expecting success this month. Trying to keep positive though, can enjoy a very merry/tipsy Christmas x

OP posts:
whambam89 · 19/11/2019 14:27

@vialarooski AF is due Friday but not getting my hopes up this month as I literally have no idea what my body is doing. Beginning to think I should start using OPKs to track considering how my cycles have been. Only DTD twice during what should have been my fertile window this month so who knows!
How are you feeling? Any symptoms?

Wrigleys123 · 19/11/2019 15:23

Good luck both! Mine is not til next week. I have some day 21 blood tests this week though and an appointment with the fertility clinic so I'm doing something at least!

Vialarooski · 20/11/2019 09:11

@whambam89 no symptoms over here, I'm not gonna test this month, I'm confident AF will arrive right on time so not gonna waste my money on a test 😂 we put in a lot of effort over the fertile week but I know it's not worked this month. When I fell pregnant with my DD, I had a heavy feeling in my uterus. I lost my sense of taste, and was super clumsy. I just knew I was pregnant. I haven't any of those things and know in my heart of hearts it's a no. So onwards and upwards, my birthday and xmas next month so gonna ruddy well enjoy them :)

OP posts:
whambam89 · 20/11/2019 10:50

@vialarooski think of the positives - you can enjoy a gin on your birthday! Although don't rule it out until AF shows - it's so frustrating isn't it, especially when it happens so quickly the first time round. I'm really having to stop myself buying a test because I know I'll just be disappointed with a negative again

Vialarooski · 30/12/2019 20:04

Hello everyone!
Did you have a lovely Xmas? Any special presents (BFP?)

I got a positive result this morning!!!!! And after convincing myself I wasn't, it was a really amazing surprise! All my symptoms have been the same as I usually get before my period. The only new one was hot flashes but i discounted that because of the weather and how high our heating is lol!

My beautiful mum got diagnosed with lung cancer at the beginning of the month and so my mind has been elsewhere which is why I was so surprised to get a BFP. It's nice to have and share some happy news with my family whilst the C word lingers over us all.
I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy 💕

Happy new year everyone! X

Wrigleys123 · 31/12/2019 10:14

@vialarooski that's great news, congratulations! So sorry to hear about your Mum Flowers nice to have some good news though as you say! Exciting times!

I'm under the care of the hospital now after confirming pcos but not sure they will be much help. Also not sure if I want another anymore as DD is nearly 4 and this whole thing has kind of jaded me!

Sprintfinish · 07/01/2020 04:23

Congratulations @Vialarooski! What good news to end the year with, and something positive for your family to focus on in such a tough time. Hope all well for you xx
