New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

Hello?

ive been away for ages!

am i in the right place?

Shoshable · 15/08/2007 21:45

Not unless you are hiding from us in the Staff Room

fifilou · 15/08/2007 21:49

I am!! I am! I am in the right place! hello! Hello! I've missed you all!

O'k update from fifi-

as you may remember i got a positive in my ov testing kit thiny, so Bd'd like mad.then waited.........2wks.then tested...3 times all BFN's.

so.............now i havent had a period since june 1st. Got all excited, got all worried...went to the docs today- and a new doctor is there, a bloody lovely nice understanding doctor, who tested my pee (BFN) then talked to me (and scared the shit out of me) about PSOS.

so now I'm all worried, have i got it, whats it mean, and im fasting from now until tomo as i have to have a blood test.

  1. I hate blood tests
  2. I'm soooooooo worried
  3. I feel like crying because i just read loads of bad stuff.
  4. did i mention i feel like crying?

so any hugs going would be greatly received, and words of wisdom, or any chocolate cake.

am working like mad so wont be able to catch up until fri eve.

unless anyone is around now?

Hello?

BellaBear · 15/08/2007 21:51

oh you poor thing! lots of virtual hugs and chocolate!

fifilou · 15/08/2007 21:55

PinkMartini · 15/08/2007 21:55

I've been quite sick and never really know what I want to eat (which is a real first for me)
Congrats BB and here's to some more BFPs for my friends.

BellaBear · 15/08/2007 21:57

PinkMartini · 15/08/2007 22:00

fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:02

BellaBear · 15/08/2007 22:07

I know, I know, I think you joined just after I left, so wasn't sure if you'd know who I was .... now I've just confused matters! (at fifi not Pink))

Took one month but then had mc and then took four more cycles.

no expereience of PCOS I'm afraid

Ready am 15+1 and trying to calm down a bit!

fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:12

I'm sure I remember you!

Oh many congrats.............

My Bf, she mc'd the first time, then went on to have the most beautiful baby girl ive ever seen!

she was soooooooooooo nervous the second time, but she had nothing to worry about, everything was fine.

All the best my lovely!

have just strated a new thread about the polythingy so someone can advise me maybe!

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:22

Hello all

fi please don't panic about the test - you'll only make yourself worse. many many hugs and chocolate and a tipple of whatever will calm you down. I'm here if you want to chat, don't know too much about PCOS but do know all about the worry/stress.

ready I was thinking of geek the other day too - I found here on the 'due your first in the last quarter of 2007' or similar thread. She replied asking how I was, but it was Mon when I was feeling cr@p so didn't reply as didn't want to bring her thread down.

bella and PE nice to 'see' you again

me well back to the start again - cd1 cycle 21

PinkMartini · 15/08/2007 22:28

Fi, we'd been trying since March07, I was using Persona, which helped me get a good grip on my cycle without temping and getting obsessed.

Here's a PCOS support group hth

fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:29

nomore! oh hello! Oh thats better.... I'm calming donw a bit now, a nice lady was posting on my thread and I feel much better about it all.

I'm sure its going to be o.k and I'm worrying about nothing, its just doctors are so laid back and free with their comments i dont thin they realise you go home and digest them and then throw up.

It takes 5 days for the test to come back.
She then wants to do an internal (og feckin great) and my smear (oh just even greater) and she wants to do a scan if the hormone levels suggest pcos.

I spend all my life trying to avoid pregnancy and now im want to be- i could giggle to think it was unlikely to get pregnant so easily!

fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:32

thansk pink.m too!

My Dh is a star, hes being so lovely and im al worrying and he said, look my lovely, why not go on your site you like, that always works..........you musnt worry so much..........hes so right!

thanks xx

p.s. did i mention i hate blood tests and usualy pass out and have to take my two charges with me then shoot straight off after to their swim club?

Argggghhhh!

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:33

I know what you mean about the docs, but don't lay too much weight on what GP says - remember they know a little bit about everything, but they're not specialists on fertility. Wait til you see a gynae for the full picture. I had an internal 'inspection' and a internal ultrascan and it wansn't that bad, I know your fear of the smear though (fear of the smear - smirk) It's ironic really how we were always told how easily you could become pg when you were 14 and now look at us!

OP posts:
fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:35

omg.omg.omg.

internal ultrascan you say?

INTERNAL?

omg.

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:36

also meant to say - Clomid is supposed to be great for PCOS (if that's what you have - personally I think 16 years on the pill might take a while to come out of your system) My gynae said there's an 80% success rate if I take it for 6 months.

OP posts:
fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:39

thanks nomore. I didnt know you had it too.

hope I didnt come across as insensitive.

My Dh said- Vivtoria beckham has that-so its cool.Every lady thinks shes cool.

(not me!)

Men!

He didnt realise it was something not so 'cool' Bless.

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:39

it's not that bad (less uncomfortable than the smear) he had a probe thing (that looked like a vibrator ) but it's fine, they use loads of lube and honestly it didn't hurt at all (although I'm kind of glad I went to the appointment not knowing what to expect as I didn't have time to worry about it!)

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:40

think I went when you were away for a bit (though don't think I shared the detail with the thread to this extent either!)

OP posts:
fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:41

right, off to bed now, boys are tiring me out! only 2wks left then they go back to school!

Will miss thenm distracting me from TTC though....will have too much time on my hands!!!!!(mums net daily!)

thanks for all your advice!

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:41

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:42

Night night. Please try to sleep and not worry. What time is it tomorrow and I'll think of you (if you want to say, if not I'll try to think of you periodically throughout the day!) (((((hugs))))
