New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

(((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))

Nomoremagnolia I am sorry to hear that you are so down (loved all the acronyms though!)-hang in there petal, we'll get there. Sometimes it just takes some people longer. I keep telling myself lately that 18 months is the average. And 3 years is perfectly normal!

Good things come to those who wait

nomoremagnolia · 13/08/2007 12:36

but I'm sick of waiting...

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 13/08/2007 12:36

ignore me, I shouldn't be bringing you all down with me, sorry

OP posts:
Ready · 13/08/2007 12:56

We'd never ignore you Nomore - I am sick of waiting too!! Rant away!! It's not bloody fair!! I tell you what riles me more than anything, when you hear about little babies being abused by their parents, I think "why were those twisted pieces of work given the gift of a baby"??. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.

There. I see your whine and raise you a paddy

Ready · 13/08/2007 13:00

scorpio1 · 13/08/2007 13:03

toomuchtimeonline · 13/08/2007 14:19

Ready - I've tried that chair - very comfortable!

And talking of good things coming (ttww), obviously waiting 6 years meant that I was in for a very good thing. (Sorry, sounding a bit smug, but hoping that it gives all of you who've been waiting a bit a ray of hope)

toomuchtimeonline · 13/08/2007 17:29

Yay MT - that's true - all this waiting for you guys means you're getting the get the bestest baby in the world {puts on hopeful sickly face}

mistlethrush · 14/08/2007 08:36

When you say bestest, you might mean the most beautiful, brightest, ray of little sunshine, but you don't necessarily get the one that sleeps through first, or isn't a little terror at times though

nomoremagnolia · 14/08/2007 08:45

MT I do not know how you coped waiting for 6 years, I'm really struggling at 20 months.
Am feeling a bit better today, have resigned myself to waiting for AF to show as really can't believe I'm pg (despite our best efforts ) Have not got the usual pre-af signs (usually have sore boobs and backache by now) but don't quite know what to expect on Clomid. I don't even know for sure if I ov'd this month as not getting test results til Friday.

OP posts:
mistlethrush · 14/08/2007 09:18

I think the low point came when, on New Year's Eve, 3.5 yrs in, when on chemo for mp, dh told me that some best friends were expecting. He didn't want to leave it until the following 'year' as wanted to get as much crap out of the way as possible.

At least you're doing something positive about it. It was very hard not being allowed to do anything for a year...

Looking for a +ve, 20 months isn't that much over the average time it takes anyway. With help, lets hope that you're not waiting much longer.

I do not want to tempt fate, I am really nervous that something may go wrong. It is a lovely position to be in but I would like to hang around in here for a while.

I still can't believe it. DH is over the moon but we have decided not to tell people until the 12 week scan. I may have to tell my best friend but we will see.

toomuchtimeonline · 15/08/2007 17:50

Hang around all you want BB - give us some belly rubbing magic!!

Congrats again - I'm really pleased - I know how much you wanted this!

Ready · 15/08/2007 17:59

Congratulations babybratt - all the best

Gillydaffodil - SOOOO lovely to see you on here, and to hear that things are going well. I totally understand what you mean about being away from your home area. I have lived away for over 4 years now, and it's tough at times, but you've got each other and that's the most important thing (imo). Have you been really busy with work? Or have you been able to sample many of the Capital's delights? I love London

Bella How's it all going? How far along are you now?

Was thinking about GeekinPigTails today, if you are lurking, hope all is well?

Hope everyone else is just dandy???
