New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

no more- i guess you were releived to find out though, you know? Its better to know sooner rather than later.

and like you say, clomid sound pretty good...the results speak for themselves.

Has Treeenie been around? hope shes ok. Maybe she needed a break from mn.

nt nt x

fifilou · 15/08/2007 22:44

9am

thanks xx

nomoremagnolia · 15/08/2007 22:49

'sooner rather than later' yep go and find out now - I keep thinking if we'd known about our probs this time last year we might have a baby by now, as it is we 'wasted' 18 months of ttc
oh well, night night.

fi thinking of you, hope it goes ok. x

mistlethrush · 16/08/2007 10:31

Hi everyone. Fi hope it's gone OK and you survived!

BB - congratulations, fingers crossed?

BB/PM - I found oatcakes a godsend - they were one of the things that stopped morning sickness becoming too bad (started at 9.30ish am, often went to bed with it).

And yet the rest of us are all wishing sickness, tiredness, sleepless nights etc on ourselves again - and yes, hoping for a second go at it even...

toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 10:44

No more Big hugs - sorry to hear your CD2 today - I had everything crossed for you! Hopefully the clomid will work its magic this month! 80% success over 6 months are some pretty good stats!

PM and BellaBear - really great to hear from some pregnant ladies!! I feel like I know you having lurked on the thread whilst you were regulars - hope you keep enjoying your pregnancies!

Fi - great to have you back - hope you're feeling better about everything and your test went ok - do let us know how you're getting on..

MT - morning! time for our usual weather chat - The weather is really nice over here today and I'm off out for a nice meal tonight so I'm feeling very positive - CD 7 and raring to go

Ready - how are you feeling? Did you TTC in the end or are you waiting till next month?

Everyone else - big wave!

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 10:53

hi toomuch how's things? On further reading Clomid is 80% success rate for achieving ov - not pg as I thought. Odds for achieving pg over 6 months is 60-65%, still not bad though.

OP posts:
toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 10:56

Hi nomore - still good odds though - that's better than the usual odds isn't it?

How are you feeling today? Glum or upbeat? It is a rollercoaster this TTC lark isn't it..

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 11:28

mostly glum TBH. Have just narrowly avoided crying on the shoulder of a colleague who was being too nice about it all!

OP posts:
toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 11:35

Oh Nomore ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))..

It's cruel that you have to cope with the lack of a BFP during your most hormonally down time!

Ready · 16/08/2007 13:19

Afternoon all.

Toomuch... - Well, we didn't actively "try" this cycle. But we haven't abstained from sex altogether, but it was after ov if my temps are right. And I am not sure I buy into the spontaneous ovulation, so not expecting anything this cylce. Feel strangely calm about it all. It's weird. How are you?

Nomore... - Big hugs flower. I am really sorry that you are in your new cycle. Sigh. I would normally chirp out my usual "hang in there" diatribe... but I can tell it's not appropriate. Here for you if you need to rant. Fingers crossed for next cycle

Fifi - Nice to see you back, sorry you are going through the mill at the moment. Hope you get some answers.

Mistletrush - You are so right. We are all wishing we could be throwing up and feeling exhausted. It's madness, isn't it

Lovely to see PinkMartini and BellaBear on here. 15 weeks hey Bella - exciting! Hope you are both taking it easy

Hope I haven't missed anyone since my last post?

toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 15:24

Calm is good !

Since we're all either depressed about no BFPs or indifferent as it is too early/late in the cycle to be excited... what should we talk about...

Do we go baby related and go surfing the net?

Or should we go non-baby related and discuss house prices etc... ?

mmm - I'm rubbish at picking topics - someone come help me..

Ready · 16/08/2007 16:02

I know... what is everyone watching on TV at the moment? I am addicted to Brothers & Sisters - Love it. Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Dexter, and most importantly Heroes.

OP posts:
Ready · 16/08/2007 16:40

Haha Nomore - Every other year (with the exception of my wedding year - too busy fussing to watch TV) I have been addicted to BigBrother, however, for some reason this year I have not watched at all. The first night was on in the background at a friends we were visiting, but we were playing games, and I didn't really watch. Has it been good?

Gilly - I love The Tube - most people think I am loony, but that's one of my favourite things about visiting London.
It's great that your new job is not as stressful as your last, you never know, it might just be the ticket you need If you can fit any ttc in, that is
What a lovely way to choose a baby name, it's not something I have ever considered, but may well do! If I ever get there. I will bear in mind the Highgate Cemetery, I do find them interesting places.
Didn't get into Dr Who myself. BBC3 have shown re-runs of Gavin and Stacey - did anyone else watch that?

toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 16:54

Ha ha Nomore - I used to be a BB addict too - but gave it up a couple of series ago - is it good this year?

Ready I absolutely love Brothers and Sisters - it is so sacharine (Sp!?!) sweet but I just love it!!

Heroes is good too and I've already watched all of Dr Who - which I thought was fab particularly the last few episodes with the arch enemy!

toomuchtimeonline · 16/08/2007 16:55

MT - what a good idea re names!! DH has always wanted to visit Highgate Ceremony but we just haven't got around to it - you never know once I get a BFP we may give it a vist

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 17:39

maybe we should organise a meet-up at highgate cemetery? Then people will think we're really mad!!

OP posts:
Ready · 16/08/2007 17:43

Haha. I can imagine us all now. With nametags. Chuckle.

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 17:47

I think we'll all get certified! Can you imagine "oi, ready over here, how about ethel for your DD?" "toomuch? where are you?" "she's over there by fred" "gillydaffodil - there's a norman here how about it?"

OP posts:
Ready · 16/08/2007 18:05

PMSL at Norman Hope I've not offended anyone.

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 18:10

ready we're playing chase across this thread and the hut. tag you're it!

OP posts:
Ready · 16/08/2007 18:12

Chuckle. I am sooo lazy. Must get up and go cook. Is it bad for the environment if I leave my computer on, so I can pop in and out throughout the evening? Ooooh. The guilt.

nomoremagnolia · 16/08/2007 18:14

hmm, last week I think I ate in front of the PC - not a very good example of the family that eats together keeps together (in my defence DH was out and it was only me and MN)
