New ttc no1 thread.

BTW if anyone knows where those no1 babies are I'd like to know! If I was a real detective I think I would have been sacked by now!

Can you imagine what we are going to be like once pregnant or with babies if we cry at tv programs!

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:12

I was crying at the press conference of the parents of the 11-year old who got shot in Liverpool (on TV, I wasn't there) - his Mum just said 'that's my baby, my baby' and I was in tears.
I cry openly at TV programmes and films - it's very cathartic. If I want a really good blub then West Side Story does it for me everytime. DH just ignores me!

toomuch Sorry about the bonging (or lack of bonging) Maybe it's not too late and you can make up for it over the weekend. ((hugs))

I already have it in my genes. My mum cries at adverts!!! I am not joking

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:20

I probably have cried at an advert too, don't know which ones, but I wouldn't put it past me to do so!
How's the packing going? Hope that's not making you want to cry

I think I have passed it on to my 3 year old daughter. She cried at Beauty and the Beast yesterday. It was when the beast let her go home to find her father. i asked why she was crying anhd she said, he's so nice letting her keep that lovely dress.

bless her.

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:24

sybil That bit gets me crying too . First time I saw it was when I was babysitting aged about 14 and kids (aged about 8&6) wanted to watch it and then I had to hide the fact I was crying from them. Anything selfless like that makes me cry - was crying at John-Paul on Hollyoaks last week!

while I'd love to say that she has that emitional range at 3, I think it was the beauty of the dress that was the big thing for her. She was very disappointed when he turned back into a man at the end.

Personally, I think some films that make you cry should be banned. I watched AI recently and cried like a baby all the way through. At the end I had piggy eyes and that whole snot/snorting thing going on. I will NEVER watch it again - it was too heart rending. And dh thought I was hilarious. Nice.

Ready · 24/08/2007 12:30

How cute sybil

Not at all Nomore - I am a total nerd. I love organising things. Packing is great fun!

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:32

I'm with your DD - the dress is lovely
When the beast becomes a man he's much less fanciable, don't you think? He's quite weedy as a man

He IS much less fancible as a man isn't he?!! Glad that's not just me, he also has an enormous nose. Not that I have anything against big noses in general, just that it makes him even less attractive as a man, and I would be a disappointed Belle.

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:39

He's just so wimpy as a man, and so manly as a beast! I think I'd be disappointed if I was Belle!

gilly - Have a wonderful time at the Fringe. Who will you be seeing? I would love to go one year. No, not staying in Manchester. If DH is not sorted we will stay with his mum for a bit. Everything we own in storage!! Perfect time to be pregnant Sense the sarcasm anyone?

PiggyPenguin · 24/08/2007 12:46

Although now I think about it I have difficulty thinking of any Disney hero who isn't disappointing. And I realise that I know too many of them... I know my dd thinks Prince Eric from the little Mermaid is much less nice than the beast too.

nomoremagnolia · 24/08/2007 12:49

Mother nature/fate/whoever controls these things has a poor sense of humour, lets hope it pays off for you Ready

Very true Nomore - I would be laughing along with Mother Nature though, if she decided now was the right time!!

Ready · 24/08/2007 12:57

safety gate

Anyone seen these? My friend has one, they look far nicer than the prison bar ones ... I know I am mad for looking at these things.

rattling · 24/08/2007 13:09

Ready - I've been with you with some of the cute things you've found. But getting excited over safety gates? I think you may have lost it a little. Though I am a flat dweller so maybe I just wouldn't understand.

Gilly - good timing. The sun is out and Edinburgh is looking pretty good at the moment. (Is a bit windy too, so bring a jumper). I have mostly been avoiding the whole thing, but I hope you have a great time.

toomuchtimeonline · 24/08/2007 14:05

.. I don't know .. I go for a long lunch and you all start chatting without me

.. have to admit I haven't watch disney films for ages so can't really comment on the hunkiness or not of disney men

Ready - can't believe you're looking at safety gates - very sweet! Hope lady irony comes down and gives you a BFP.

Gilly - have fun in Edinburgh!

Nomore - thanks - I've cheered up a bit now that my belly is full of lunch! There's always next month I suppose..

.. has anyone else started to think that if we get our BFPs this month our babies will be born in May/June and will therefore be the youngest in their year.. and will also be disappearing off to school when the are still very little..

toomuchtimeonline · 24/08/2007 14:06

p.s. Hi Rattling and Sybil too

toomuchtimeonline · 24/08/2007 14:51

I'm starting to think I'm the thread killer...

Ready · 24/08/2007 15:00

Toomuch - You are not a thread killer at all
I know, I am mad!! Thinking about such practical things when I don't even know if I will ever be a mum. What a muppet
I have been trying not to think about "when the baby will be born" each month ttc. I don't think that it matters to be youngest in the year either. My DH is an August baby, and he is the brainiest person I know. All A*s,As and Bs at GSCE and ABB at A level. Trust me it's what's in the genes

Rattling - Yes, I have lost it. I even started looking at breathing monitors... Someone call the doctor!! haha. What's it like living in a flat? It's something I have never done, but something we may do.

toomuchtimeonline · 24/08/2007 15:12

Thanks for joining me ready !!

You're not mad for looking just funny that you've moved past the cute clothes and cots and onto the more practical items

Ready · 24/08/2007 15:29

Funny, mental
