Tessiebear, Its strange that AF thing, had lower back pain with it..
This wkend i have to do loads of bding and hope for the best!!!

ebbie22, How are you this morning ??

MrsWednesday, I would go with antibiotics,

Hope all is well today...

muddaofsuburbia · 30/09/2004 08:42

Really rubbish at keeping up with this thread - sorry ladies!

AF due on Saturday. Have no symptoms for AF or pg for that matter (usually doubles up in pain from now until the end of AF), so I guess I could just be going to be late.

Don't want to test yet, cos if I am pg and then it goes wrong at the weekend I would rather think of it as AF coming a couple of days' late than a m/c. Really couldn't cope with another m/c.

Tessiebear · 30/09/2004 09:43

Morning all!
Ebbie - sounds really promising - when are you going to test?

Hula - sounds like you did everything you possibly could this month - and at the right time - loads of baby dust for you --- ... like me , all you can do is sit and wait. I have realized that whether i am on CD20 today or CD 15 I still BD'd at the right time for both OV dates (i think i am more than likely on CD20 tbh) so its a waiting game, - I have decided to test next saturday morning (CD28) as we have a big night out planned on Sat! - Antibiotics excuse at the ready! Really dont think i am this month though

Minnie - good luck with your BD'ing - i am still getting the achey pains today, i suppose it could be down to the physical exertion of BDing that is causing it !!!

MrsWednesday · 30/09/2004 09:52

Sounds like you've got a busy weekend ahead of you Minnie1 .

Any news Ebbie22?

Will keep my fingers crossed for you muddaofsuburbia - I can't tell from your message whether you think you're in with a chance this month? I'm due Monday and have absolutely no idea whether we've been successful or not!

Not sure I'll be able to do the antibiotics story as I work with one of the girls who'll be there - she knows I'm TTC and she also knows I'm not poorly as she's seen me this week, illness free! Arrgggggggh.

BeckiF - the only thing I could think of is that you are building up to ovulate again. Sorry, not much help, I know.

Hope everyone else is ok on this gloomy, rainy day (bet it's not like that where you are Tania2).

Tessiebear · 30/09/2004 10:08

I have been getting AF type cramps all morning and i have just googled "implantation cramps" and apparently you can get these from as early as 2 days after conception and they are stronger with second and subsequent pregnancies (this is my 3rd!) ... dont want to get too exited but it has given me hope that it is not AF making an early appearance!

Hulababy · 30/09/2004 10:38

Lots of baby dust coming your way then Tessiebear

BeckiF · 30/09/2004 10:45

Hi - thanks Tania for the explanantion, I hope it's true! My last af was 12th October last year and then this one! I normally get about 2 a year, but am hoping that the Metformin is going to help. Even DP wondered if I was ovulatiing ... but so soon??? I hope it's true! Wouldn't that be fantastic, to ovulate, get pg, have 2 weeks hols to enjoy it etc. etc. etc ..... (Now in a dream like state! )

Yes MrsWednesday its a beautiful day here took ds for a big walk and a play at the park this morning he is a very active 2 yr old and loves being outside so iam loving this nice weather. Fingers crossed to you Tessiebear sounds promising. Asked dh (since he is in a good mood) if he minded if i buy a may be baby ov tests that is the australian version of persona i think. it cost around $80 aus he just said if i really have to then do so. we are a bit short of cash this month so iam worried if i buy it and then we cant pay a bill or something it may cause a argument. then again if i fell pg this month i wouldnt know if its the herbs or because i used the ov test???? what to do what to do hummmmm......

runtus · 30/09/2004 12:00

Still no af here and on day 31 now.........trying not to test yet as my cycles hve been as long as 36 days before. Not really got any signs of anything happening (pg or af wise)so not sure what to make of it all.

Think I might crumble by the weekend though!

Hulababy · 30/09/2004 12:01

Fingers crossed runtus!

MrsWednesday · 30/09/2004 12:05

Oooh, there's a few of us coming up to testing time...exciting!

Good luck to everyone!

Tania2, can you order the medisave ov test sticks on-line? I don't know much about them (would imagine they are cheaper) but I'm sure one of the others will do.

runtus · 30/09/2004 13:02

my dp has just commented about how I haven't felt sick this month, whereas usually I feel awful by now.......could just be my body finally settling down hormone-wise after coming off the pill I guess. Hoping it is a sign of something else though!

Excited now!

Tania2 · 30/09/2004 13:08

Fingers crossed for you runtus.
MrsWednesday in the past i have used the disposible ones and they are around $20 for 5 tests (mind you i should have spent the 80 in the first place as i have already on the other ones) but what if your not a text book case some people ov early and some late this other test you can use every day by putting suliva on it and when you are ov it comes up with a fern print. You know it would just be cheaper if i just had the energy to bd every second night from now till af.

Tessiebear · 30/09/2004 13:15

Tania - this BD'ing every other night is exhausting around OV - let alone up until AF - i am hoping that i might have struck lucky this month so i dont have to go through the whole proceedure again next month!!! I have a good friend who when ttc her DS1 BD'ed EVERY and i mean EVERY night for NINE months (she conceived on the ninth month)

Tania2 · 30/09/2004 13:24

Bugger that it would totally take the fun out of it. once af is finished i start off ok but then b4 af due iam soooooo over it. How could you possible keep it interesting when you bd every night.

Tessiebear · 30/09/2004 13:39

Exactly!! DH wanted to BD last night (me on CD20 and sooo OVed already) and i must say it was an effort!

MommyD · 30/09/2004 14:10

Typical! All geared up to start trying for #3 this month. dh often works away and he will be away this month cd 11,12,13, 14 and 15!!! I am cd8 today and the only chance for bd is cd9 and cd10.
Anyone know they got pregnant when bd'ing as early in the cycle as this? I always ov on cd14 or cd15...

runtus · 30/09/2004 14:11

I would have more chance of an immaculate conception than bding everynight until af due!

Hulababy · 30/09/2004 14:12

Are you really supposed to BD every night (or even every other night) after OV???

MrsWednesday · 30/09/2004 14:15

I bloody hope not - there's not a chance in the world of that happening in my house!

MommyD · 30/09/2004 14:22

Wow tessiebear! BD EVERY night for NINE months!!! That sounds like a lot of work..

In case anyone feels that they are not up to that, and at the other end of the scale ds2 was conceived in a month when we bd ONCE and ONCE only.

Somewhere in between sounds about right.

Oh and I thought bd 2 days after ovulation was not going to get you a baby as the egg only lasts 48 hours!!

runtus · 30/09/2004 15:55

Hope yet for us all then MommyD!

ebbie22 · 30/09/2004 16:03

hello to you all,Well can some one shed light on this as not sure what to make of it...
Here goes; As of yesterday i was kindof spotting but only in discharge and was quite browny[t.m.i.i.k},but then real bad pain on right side again, couldnt even walk...still no blood, then got blood clots in bottom of toliet, not on tissue or knickers, now on a pad but quite brown....ache pain still on right side...
But would i get period pain on that side even though there is nothing there?Would be so grateful for any advice...
I know it sounds like a period but just isnt a normal one for me...Thank you all xxx

GeorgesMummy · 30/09/2004 17:34

Hello to you all. I am new to this and would like to join this thread if that's ok.
I already have DS 1 year old and have been ttc for 2 months.
Last week I had bleeding for only 2 days around time period was due. Since then I have had really sore heavy breasts and am convinced I am pregnant. But I have done 5 tests-all negative-has this happened to anyone else. My DH thinks I'm mad but I am still convinced. Help!?!

wilbur · 30/09/2004 20:08

georgesmummy - I had a conversation with NHS Direct about preg tests yesterday - the nurse said you can get a false negative initially as everyone varies how quickly their hormones shoot up, but after a week has gone by after AF due, it is extremely unlikely that the test would be wrong as they are so good and sensitive now. How many days past the little bleed are you? I know it took me a week after my af was due to get a positive result for ds, I still had a neg 5 days after af was due but then suddenly the line was there loud and clear. Don't know if that helps at all. If you're not preg this month - good luck for the next round!

MommyD - saw your quesion about conception dates - according to my last lot of tcoyf charts, I conceived dd on cd11 and ov'd on cd15 so there is a chance! They do say though that if sperm has to wait for the egg you are more likely to have a girl.
