Evening all; just checking in to new thread. About to go onto FF to record today's data. Temperature is a bit up and down after a disturbed night, and then the next day getting up to go to the loo just before temping (read wrong time on clock, grr). Wondering if CF might be a better indicator??? On CD8 now.

runtus · 16/09/2004 08:25

Morning all, well I would just like to say that you sjould all look out for flying pigs and hell freezing over as we bd'd again last night!

I admit this time there was a certain amount of cajoling involved and I'm sure left alone he would have been asleep within minutes of getting under the duvet but all the same......hurrah!

Just got my review to get through now......

Geordie · 16/09/2004 09:19

arghh!!

forgot how much ttc affects your whole life....totally adicted to MN already!!

cd 10 for me...FF reckons I'm fertile..but don't think i am quite there yet.....don't want to tire dh out too soon!!

thinking about opk's what do you think girls?? useful or not??

anyway bding everyother day to make sure we don't miss O and hoping to bd on the day of temp shift!!

off to call the reflexologist

Geordie · 16/09/2004 09:20

Hula baby....cf is defo a good bet...know weveral people who have fallen pg that way..just bd whenevere you get ewcm....but don't be confused by sperm masking real ewcm...think you can read about that on FF..or in TCOYF by Toni Weschler.

Geordie

runtus · 16/09/2004 09:27

Geordie, the ease of confusion between ewcm & sperm is what lad me to reading about the whole cervix checking thing.......just found it easier to tell when I'm likely to be ovulating that way.

Geordie · 16/09/2004 09:29

morning runtus...

never got on with the cp thing..esp not since ds was born..trying though (ick) we'll see if I ge the hang of it over a couple of cycles...lol really hope that I am pg before then.....

right off to phone the reflexologist now..REALLY!!

MrsWednesday · 16/09/2004 09:35

Sounds like there is a few of us around the same time then, as I'm on CD 10 - busy weekend ahead for me and DH .

Thanks for the advice about drinking Pamina3. I think I will try and abstain (or cut back drastically) next week - after 2 m/c I think I should be trying my hardest to be good until I know one way or the other. Did you manage to avoid temptation last night?

Geordie, I'm also thinking about OPKs if nothing happens this month. Has anyone tried Persona?

BeckiF · 16/09/2004 09:36

I am 34 and ttc our first. DP has three children from his first marriage (which his ex from hell won't let him see, that's why I support Fathers for Justice!) ... he had a vasectomy and then had it reversed for me 3 years ago. We have wrigglers on ice and the Metformin regulates your insulin production which helps your weight which helps your hormones which helps you ovulate .. etc. etc.! All good in theory! I produce too much insulin, hence the weight problem. It's a vicous cycle really. Both DP and I are convinced I got pg last May not long after starting the Metformin. I had boobs that were literally growing every day, I could hardly eat a thing and certain smells made me sick. I then had a very heavy period some weeks after.

Yesterday he went out and brought us an absolute huge amount of Zorbit Noahs Ark baby things that I started collecting years ago but got discountinued. I saw an ad in the local Loot and he went and got it ... bless his heart! I think we have more baby stuff than an expectant couple, but it helps, makes you stay positive.

Hello everyone
Can I come in from the cold please? Only made a couple of appearances on ttc9 due to extended visit with MIL and an exploding laptop, not a great month, topped off with a bfn (followed 2 hours later by AF - why??). Anyway, CD9 today, month 21 of ttc #2, here we go again...

Hope this thread is a lucky one, lets hope for some good news on here soon.

Geordie · 16/09/2004 09:36

I used persona when ttc ds....was ok...but I fell pg after I stopped using it!! I basically fell pg becasue of an ovulation bleed and ewcm!!

Persona does work for some people though...it's expensive tho

G

BeckiF · 16/09/2004 10:01

I had this ewcm twice in one week oand we bd most every day anyway. My pg test are coming up neg but my nipples are behaving strangely! I truly think it's my hormones raging, but in the back of my mind I keep thinking 'Am I?'. Because I don't have an af as a starting point, I can't judge properly and there is, as my gynae doc said, every possibility that I will get pg having not had af and I'd be none the wiser. Hence why I have to check all the bloomin' time

What a nightmare BeckiF, constant state of hoping but trying not go get your hopes up?

Hopefully it will happen for you soon

Geordie · 16/09/2004 10:05

((Becki))

how stressfull.....the funny boobs thing could be a sign tho...hopeful! I got funny boobs from about 9 weeks- then leaked all the way through my pregnancy (on waking, during bd, in the bath!!) was quite disturbing...I can't rely on that sign now as I am still Bf my ds.

will the dr not do blood tests...?

MINNIE1 · 16/09/2004 10:40

Becki,
Its high time you had a long run with good luck..
Big hug, and easy for me to say but keep on top..
Minnie1

MrsWednesday · 16/09/2004 10:49

Blimey Becki, this must be sending you bonkers. Have your boobs ever been like this before? Sorry, personal question!

Hello Mrs Flowerpot. It's the law of sod making AF appear just after testing! How long did it take you to conceive your first?

bluestar · 16/09/2004 10:56

Hello all, joining you again, can't believe we are on thread 10, have been around for ages! I hope that I too am pg before xmas. Currently on CD4 so a while to go yet and I think bding time will be when I am on hols so that would be nice.
Good luck everyone.

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 11:11

Morning all. Just been to doctors. I had been given some heart burn tablets to the next couple of months by my consultant but reading the leaflet it said not to use them if TTc. So just checked and I can't. Also asked about any other advice etc. Obviously not much he could do right now, but he did tell me to bear this in mind:

If 100 people try to have a baby at the same tim, 90 of them will concieve in the first year. But for most it will be a few months at least.

He did acknowledge that our previous 15 months ttc (twice before) were rather longer than that and did sk why we didn't ask to be referered, but also stated that I have been pg twice (one mc and one 2yo DD) so I know it is possible.

He said his main advice is to nbot stress(!), relax and hhave fun, don't let ttc spoil your sex life, and to just see what happens. I said I'd try!

Hulababy · 16/09/2004 11:15

Must be nightmare Becki . Fingers crossed.

Geordie - read all about it all! Infact need to go and put today's data in FF.

BeckiF · 16/09/2004 11:18

Hi, my boobs do get full and tender when I have AF, but this tingle I get when I yawn or stretch is a new one on me. I also have terrible back-ache and some strange pains in my womb/ovary area. I do believe I'm trying to get symptoms to fit, I have the strength to say that. But deep within there is that little grain of hope that niggles away at me ....

BUT, chins up

G'day ladies. Good to see we have started a new thread and lets hope its a lucky one. Man do we need it or what. Well i will be in and out checking in on the thread tonight as iam busy renovating our house. we knocked out two walls on the weekend and now we are plastering. I know its not a good idea that iam doing this while ttc but we hope that it will bring us luck considering it did with ds. We bought the house and started reno's then a bit over a month later i found out i was pg. Gee we are holding on to all hope now aren't we.

Tania2 · 16/09/2004 11:31

BeckiF when i was just pg with ds my nipples went funny. where all the holes are went really white. has this happened to you.

BeckiF · 16/09/2004 11:35

Hi Tania - no not really. There are times when they look more veiny, but I don't see that the bumpy bits around the nipple have changed much. I'll have a good look tonight though! Or even better let dp check for me ... LOL!! I did notice that when we bd I feel tender right up inside my lower tummy (TMI, I know) ... and I have to ask him to be more gentle and less energetic!! It's fine if I'm laying face down though and my tummy is squashed into the bed! (OK, who's squirming now at all these mental images!!!)

Thanks BeckiF. You know Dh was just asking if we talked sex talk and how to satisfy our men and all that blokey stuff they go on about. But IKWYM i pretty much get that everytime. I was diagnosed with endo and overian cysits when i was 18 and met DH when i was 17 so he knows what i go through. doc's always ask if sex if uncomfortable it must go with that sort of thing. Bummer hay!!

Tessiebear · 16/09/2004 12:08

Tania - this brings back memories of TTC DS2. We were gutting and re-decoration our new house and the weekend i had worked out i was ovulating we were due to spend the whole weekend removing old, smelly wallpaper from the Walls with a steam cleaner. Not wanting to miss the moment i wore stockings and suspender belt (a particular weakness for DH!) under these old overalls and the rest, they say, is history!!!!!!!!

Tania2 · 16/09/2004 12:13

LOL ~ nice one tessiebear.
