Hi ladies - CD7 today(crikey it's been 12 months since I said that!!) ... and I'm feeling strange. DP says my boobs are still very swollen and I have period pains again today ... what can this mean please oh knowledgable ones????!

Sorry BeckiF - I don't know what that could be - you could try starting a different thread with your question - think you'd hit a wider group of Mumsnetters...

Re OPKs - I use a saliva microscope - easier than peeing on a stick and you don't have to go without drinking for 4 hours... Just have to wait for 2 hours after eating, drinking alcohol or smoking... I did both types of opk one month and got consistent results, so think it works. I paid £20 for mine (it was on offer in Superdrug) - it's called Calista. Actually it was through searching for info. on it that I discovered Mumsnet - yay!

Bluestar, think my cycle is similar to yours - I often start to get positive opks around day 16/17 but through temping I've found I usually O around day 20. My cycles are 32 days but my luteal phase is only 12 days, not the 'standard' 14. Got caught out by this for quite a few months!

Did you find the saliva microscope works? I've got one but as my cycles are so irregual I lost the plot. Does it work or not?

All is well here, CD13 nearly half way!!! I feel like AF is coming for some strange reason..

The Saliva microscope does work for me in that it's just as good as the peeing on a stick type, and easier to use.

Whether opks are the best thing for me generally I don't know as I'm not pg yet!

I have had the worst aches down my right and left side,now have a constant pain on right side...

Is that normal for you then, and are you due?

cp3 i usually have period pains for most of the month,even when a.f is long gone...

I know what you mean Ebbie about feeling different, thats what happened to me this month but i knew af was coming as i was eating everything in sight and was in a bad mood for about 3 days before. Mine also comes on an evening so i went to the gym to help it along.

Me and you then on the ttc 11, but ill still keep fingers crossed for you. Luckily i was only a day late so i didnt get too excited

Can I ask your advice ladies?

I've got a birthday party to go to on Saturday night - it will involve lots of drinking (it's a grown-up party, not a kids one!). AF is due on Monday, so I'm not sure what to do. Is there any point testing on Saturday morning? Or shall I just take it easy on Saturday night? Questions will be asked if I'm not drinking...

Minnie - I am also on about the same CD as you and ALSO felt as if AF was coming this morning!!!

Mrs Wednesday - i have the same dillema as you - tonight, Friday and next Saturday (I plan to do an early test before next Saturday) I KNOW questions will be asked tonight as the other couple are driving so that we (me and DH) can drink as it is both our birthdays in the next few days!!! I will definately have one drink but i dont want to have any more than that - they are good friends but i really dont want to tell anyone anything IYKWIM

Testing too early may well bring up a false negative anyway.

I had a big night out last time, only to find out I was pg with DD a week or so later. Would have been almost 4 weeks at the time. But, just wasn't expecting to be pg - after all that time I had kind of come to expect nothing.

To those with the drink dilemma - are you good enough fibbers to say you are on tablets (mind's gone blank - what can't you mix with alcohol?) - and therefore have to lay off the drink?

G'day girls. BeckiF my natrapath called me the other night to see if my af arrived and i asked her some questions about heavy periods, cramping and clots. She explained it really well, its great to have heavy bleeding as release more eggs if you have clots that is because you have a lot of build up in there and its breaking away from the lining and thats what causes the cramps so all is good if you dont get pg this month you will be happy if next month is the same as its a great clean out for you (IYKWIM).
Iam currently on CD4 and af is nearly finished so working our way up to bding again for another month.

My temp chart on FF has now detected OV on CD18. Now 5 days past OV. Apparantly our BD timing was clased as "Good". So the waiting game....

Tessiebear - if you look at my chart now, it has the cross lines on showing OV, and the data below now refers to OV and other signs to look out for afterwards, etc.

So how is everyone today?
