How’s everyone getting on? Been reading through and all seems positive so far! @TheChineseChicken how far along are you now?

I’m 17 weeks and had a private scan on Thursday...I’m having a little girl!!! Heard her heart beat for the first time, then the next day I had my midwife check up and heart it again 😆 I’m still on a high! Finally getting a noticeable bump as well. Still suffering with nausea and vomiting so was given another anti sickness medication to try and see if that helps.

Hope everyone’s coping! X

codenameduchess · 24/06/2019 20:18

Wow @Ells0204 congratulations!!! Have you felt any movement yet?

How was the scan at 17 weeks? We have one Saturday and I'll be 17+5, it's mostly so dd can see the baby. We were going to find out the sex but dh has said he'd really like a surprise again and he's more passionate about it than me so we'll be waiting.

TheChineseChicken · 24/06/2019 21:28

@MummyBearBoo so glad the scan looked good. Now we all have to hope the genetic testing is ok too

@Ells0204 hello! I'm 9 weeks now. It's actually going quite fast because I'm so focused on the fact I feel shit that I don't really think about the fact I'm pregnant Grin I have a prescription for cyclizine but I find it a bit weird - like the ability to feel nausea has been numbed but I am still nauseous. Like taking an antidepressant doesn't suddenly make you happy, you just don't feel so sad?! Also it makes me really groggy and irritable in the morning. But I have been sick less and been able to eat and drink more, so swings and roundabouts.

Strange question - does anyone else find their pregnancy sick almost comes from their throat / oesophagus rather than their stomach? Like they are throwing up stuff that has got stuck in transit? It's not like normal liquid vomit. Sorry for TMI!

Also @Ells0204 yay a girl!

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 24/06/2019 23:12

Thanks @TheChineseChicken - yay a girl @Ells0204 is this your first?
Apart from when I missed 6 periods I've always had regular periods with PCOS without medication and my recent scan confirmed no cysts on my ovaries, I have no spots or extra facial hair which PCOS can cause and whilst I did gain weight last year I've since lost 2stone and am at the lower end of healthy range BMI! I ovulate normally and OPKs generally get the right day (AF always started 2 weeks to day after ovulation I knew they were right) !
Heard my baby's heartbeat at my scan today it sounded really strong just hope it is ok!! Xx

Ells0204 · 25/06/2019 10:06

@TheChineseChicken ah I’ve just swapped my cyclizine for another one! Cyclizine was so bitter and I totally understand what you mean...it kind of took the edge off but that was about it?! Anyway I seem to be getting on better with this one, haven’t thrown up this morning.

I find I throw up foam more. When I’m sick on a full stomach it’s not my whole stomach contents but almost like the top bit so whatever’s sitting right there...so I think I kind of know what you mean 😅

Ells0204 · 25/06/2019 10:07

@MummyBearBoo yes this is my first! Everyone was adamant it was a boy, all our family members and friends. They were certain! They were so shocked when we told them girl haha but I’m SO pleased!

MummyBearBoo · 25/06/2019 13:00

I was really glad I had a DD first too- if this baby is ok I don't mind what it is as long as it's healthy I just didn't really want two boys does that sound really bad?!xx

codenameduchess · 25/06/2019 15:45

Not at all @MummyBearBoo I was really happy when the midwife said 'it's a girl' when dd was born, hadn't realised that I had been picturing a girl until then!
I'm not really bothered with this one, I'd like one of each but also 2 girls would be nice as I know what to do. Dh and dd have both said they're hoping for a girl though.

@TheChineseChicken I know what you mean about the sick, it always seems to come from my throat and it's weirdly dry. Or if I've not eaten it's like beaten egg whites 😷

MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 10:52

@codenameduchess -I feel the same I just want a healthy baby two girls or one of each would be nice!! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 26/06/2019 16:26

So I had a 1/100 chance of Down Syndrome coz my last baby had this and a lower risk of Edwards and Pataus and the results came back clear for these - but the biggest hurdle is the results I get on Friday/Monday where I have a 50% chance of the baby being too ill to keep!! Found out it's a boy which is what I thought coz last time I was having a boy (who I had to lose) I was sick loads same as this time - whereas with my DD I wasn't sick at all! Xx

pinkstar01 · 27/06/2019 10:41

@MummyBearBoo so far so good, realy hoping you get positive news with the other results! Keep us posted ❤️

@liveinhope100 nice to hear from you and sorry about your loss, how are you getting on?

liveinhope100 · 27/06/2019 11:53

@pinkstar01 Thank you. I've been an emotional wreck since taking my medication. I suffer from anxiety and depression and apparently Clomid can make this worse but I only have to take them for 5 days a month so i'm feeling better now!

Got a scan next week to see if the meds are working. Then I may have to get a trigger shot to get me to ovulate so will see what happens then.

How are you getting on?

MummyBearBoo · 28/06/2019 07:18

Hope it works out for you @liveinhope100
Thanks for you wishes guys I'm absolutely terrified!!! X

MummyBearBoo · 28/06/2019 10:38

I'm utterly heartbroken my little boy, again, is too poorly for me to proceed with this pregnancy I will be needed another TFMR - he had to genetic conditions which would make him too poorly!! Not sure yet if I'm strong enough to try again after this my second TFMR -good luck to everyone else xx

liveinhope100 · 28/06/2019 11:39

@MummyBearBoo I'm so sorry to hear such awful news. My heart goes out to you.I can't imagine what you are going through but don't give up. I really hope you get your happy ending.

codenameduchess · 28/06/2019 14:37

@MummyBearBoo I'm so sorry x

TheChineseChicken · 29/06/2019 08:01

Oh @MummyBearBoo I'm so sorry. I really hope you would get better news this time. How awful for you and your DH. Don't think too much about the future at this time, just get through the next few days and weeks. Big hugs xx

pinkstar01 · 29/06/2019 10:59

@MummyBearBoo I'm devastated for you...please be kind to yourself and take as much time as you want to heal, so so sorry 💗

MummyBearBoo · 30/06/2019 21:45

Thanks all for your kind words think I'll be starting the TFMR process tomorrow. They couldn't do anything any sooner as the results came on a Friday - I'll be 13 weeks tomorrow I hate still being pregnant knowing my little boy is still growing but that I can't keep him! 😭 xx

TheChineseChicken · 01/07/2019 13:47

Thinking of you @MummyBearBoo. Be strong today Thanks

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 01/07/2019 14:46

They've called to say I've got to go in tomorrow! Yet another day of being pregnant knowing my baby is poorly!!! Then back in Thursday for the 2nd part! Xx

TheChineseChicken · 02/07/2019 17:53

How are you doing @MummyBearBoo?

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 03/07/2019 18:33

Thanks for asking @TheChineseChicken but not great tbh - I'm coping and keeping it together in front of DD but that's about it - I've got the second part of the TFMR procedure tomorrow and after the experience I had last time I'm totally dreading it -I had a really bad reaction to the tablet(s) and had to stay in all day and overnight! I'm hoping it doesn't disrupt the vessels that caused me internal bleeding for 4 weeks last time for which I had to have 3 emergency blood transfusions! 2 TFMRs in 1 and a 1/2 years with added complications is really hard!! Xx

TheChineseChicken · 07/07/2019 10:45

Hope you are coping ok @MummyBearBoo. How are you physically?
