@pinkstar01 literally been “off” food for the past 6 weeks too! There hasn’t been a single thing that I’ve fancied, like @mummybearboo said you kind of have to force your way through it otherwise if you don’t eat you feel even more rotten. It’s a horrific cycle, I can’t wait to just want food again!
Right now I’m actually just eating to survive, not because I want to 😫

MummyBearBoo · 23/05/2019 07:40

I'm the same @Ells0204 - I don't even want chips at dinner time and usually I love chips!! I have to try and eat most of the calories before dinner time coz that's when I fell most sick but I can't have big meals coz then I feel sick after I eat so I just have a few small meals - I also can't eat til after 10am in the morning coz I feel sick first thing - I get horrendous stomach pains if I don't eat and feel shaky! Just try and force yourself to eat small amounts and more importantly sip water you need your fluids even if you can't drink a lot all at once just have sips!

MummyBearBoo · 23/05/2019 17:17

Sorry @codenameduchess - just seen your comment they can't tell from a blood test coz I already have a wrong chromosome so I already have the condition they take fluid from the placenta and have to analyse it - it's awful but if it's good I can find out the gender and they check for every other chromosomal abnormality too which they don't normally do unless you are a high risk for anything! Xx

Morning ladies, how are we all? Did you have lovely sunshine yesterday? I met a friend for lunch and a matinee in London and it was gorgeous. Currently having some breakfast and a (decaf) coffee in bed (thanks DH). My sleeping is dreadful at the moment, I suppose due to progesterone. I'm already getting up to wee in the night then toss and turn. It doesn't bode well that I am already knackered at 4.5 weeks. I guess you have to be careful what you wish for...

What do you all have planned for today / tomorrow?

Sorry for all those who are off food, that is not fun. Hope it passes soon. Problem with pregnancy symptoms is that when you don't them, you want them, and when you do, you don't!

How lovely of your dh @TheChineseChicken 😍

I'm finding a love of food and craving all the bad things, mostly chips, pickled onions and cheese and onion crisps! the bloat is still pretty bad and I look about 20 weeks 🙈

TheChineseChicken · 26/05/2019 11:51

@codenameduchess that's great news! May your appetite continue to return. The baby obviously needs pickled onions Grin

MummyBearBoo · 26/05/2019 15:10

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow but I have to keep eating small amounts coz I can eat much my morning sickness is at its worst in the evenings!! Xxx

Ells0204 · 26/05/2019 22:09

Had my scan on Friday and everything was well Grin measuring one day ahead weirdly enough so am actually 13 weeks today EDD 1st December! Had a really stubborn baba who would not move into the right position for measurements so was sent for a walk and some star jumps! Told all other family and friends all weekend so that’s been quite tiring but at least they all know now, seems very surreal now we’re not just in our own bubble.

Still throwing up, nauseous, no appetite and got my first migraine (not just in pregnancy but EVER!) in the middle of the night last night and oh my god I thought at one point I was going to die. Apparently normal due to swelling of blood vessels etc...of course it’s “normal” everything is in pregnancy isn’t it Hmm

Sorry for the rant; feeling elated that Friday went well but also getting very fed up and low. Would love to just get back to feeling like my usual self and enjoy my pregnancy!

TheChineseChicken · 27/05/2019 07:38

So glad your scan went well @Ells0204! It's a lot easier once you get past that milestone and can relax a bit more. And it's great when you can start to share the news with people.

I understand how you're feeling. Fatigue and nausea really take it out of you and affect your mood and emotional well-being. You should start to feel a bit better soon and will be able to enjoy the second trimester.

I've been feeling quite anxious the last couple of days. No clear symptoms yet and I've had a few achy spells in my abdomen - which i know mean that things are moving and stretching but it's still worrying. At least they come and go. 5 weeks tomorrow. I think I am going to book a viability scan as I can't hold out until 12 weeks!

TheChineseChicken · 28/05/2019 14:49

5 weeks today and got 3+ on a CB digi. And had a really bad wave of nausea just now on a client call!

How is everyone?

OP posts:
codenameduchess · 28/05/2019 16:34

That's great mews @TheChineseChicken 😀 (the cb not the nausea!)

@Ells0204 im a day behind you, EDD 2nd December. It seems so far away still, DD keeps asking if her sister is big enough to come out yet... it's going to be a long 6 months!

TheChineseChicken · 28/05/2019 16:36

@codenameduchess I bet your DD is so excited Smile

OP posts:
codenameduchess · 28/05/2019 16:48

@TheChineseChicken shes really excited and is convinced she's getting a sister, pretty sure she thinks it's coming out 3 and will be able to play straight away though.

TheChineseChicken · 28/05/2019 16:49

She may be disappointed when a newborn arrives!

OP posts:
codenameduchess · 28/05/2019 17:05

Definitely 😂 she's said that she'll cuddle but nappies are mummy's job and daddy can clean up sick.

She's very interested in how big the baby is though and I have an app that measures it in toys, so this week it's a matchbox car- great way for kids to visualise it and a little more interesting than vegetables!

pinkstar01 · 29/05/2019 15:21

@TheChineseChicken so happy to hear your progressing nicely!

I went for a private scan today because my awful nausea got better and I got worried but everything's fine, saw the baby and the heartbeat and it's measuring perfectly :)

TheChineseChicken · 29/05/2019 17:50

@pinkstar01 that's great! How many weeks are you now?

OP posts:
pinkstar01 · 29/05/2019 18:24

I'm 7 weeks tomorrow! I feel like time is going by so slowly 😅

TheChineseChicken · 30/05/2019 10:51

I know, the days are taking forever!

OP posts:
TheChineseChicken · 30/05/2019 10:52

How is everyone coping with being starving, wanting to eat all the time, but being at work with other people and not wanting them to notice?! I'm desperate for some crisps but it's only 10.50 Confused

OP posts:
codenameduchess · 30/05/2019 11:41

Just go for it @TheChineseChicken ! I found if I don't draw attention to it no one really notices... I have a permanent snack pack in my top drawer and I'm forever rummaging 😂 had to leave the jar of pickled onions at home though.

TheChineseChicken · 30/05/2019 11:43

@codenameduchess I settled for a banana from the fruit bowl but it didn't really hit the spot. Lunch time soon! I definitely need to invest in a snack drawer

OP posts:
codenameduchess · 30/05/2019 11:54

Nuts and Bombay mix are good, not as 🤨 as crisps, I'm a fan of apple slices and peanut butter too- crunchy and satisfying while healthy enough it could be part of a diet meal plan.

My biggest issue is trying to hide the bloat that is looking suspiciously bumpy now, along with frequent toilet trips i can see talk starting soon. I was hoping to keep it quiet until after 20 weeks.

TheChineseChicken · 30/05/2019 14:33

@codenameduchess yes, the bloat. Not too bad today but yesterday was awful. Thought I would be in maternity jeans within a fortnight. And I have a long way to go!

People probably notice less than you think though

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 01/06/2019 08:05

I'm 8 weeks on Monday still get a few stomach pains and feeling sick sometimes but not as much am managing to eat 3 meals a day -drinking alcohol free Prosecco, pear cider and learnt how to make virgin mojitos loving them!! My scan is a week Tuesday dragging so much! Xx
