Does anyone else have cold symptoms? I've got a really dry throat and annoying cough but it's not a virus - I'm sure it's pregnancy related

It's probably pregnancy rhinitis

Oh my gosh @TheChineseChicken 2-3 weeks on a digital already!

No cold symptoms, but I threw up so violently today it splashed back all over me.... all things citrus are off the menu! But I'm officially in week 12 now and feeling a little more relaxed.

@codenameduchess that sounds horrible, you poor thing! I hope the nausea settles down soon.

@chanderl it's definitely something like that. I hope it doesn't continue all the way through as the pathetic tickly cough is really annoying. With DD I had so much extra saliva I wretched every time I brushed my teeth

I used Sterimar during my last pregnancy which was fab for the rhinitis

Massive congratulations @TheChineseChicken I'm so pleased for you - I'm 6w + 1d though my midwife did my date from LMP which puts me at 8w + 1d guess I find out on 11 June for sure!
Maybe call the new thread ' No more Crushing Disappointment' and be optimistic maybe once we're all around 12 weeks ish - tho I know some are there already!
I won't be able to join til I'm 13 weeks if I get that far coz I have CVS @ 11 weeks and if I get thru that it carries a 1% miscarriage risk for 2 weeks!! Xx

@MummyBearBoo that must feel like a cloud over your head. I so hope it's all ok How are you feeling about the pregnancy in general after the CPs? I'm not sure my mental health will survive until next January

@mummybearboo you’re doing so well so far, it seems like forever but to be honest my scan has actually come round so quickly if I think about it and hopefully yours will too! Keeping my fingers crossed for you

@codenameduchess I am sorry to say this but I’m glad someone else is still suffering into week 12 with nausea at least I know I’m not alone fed up of seeing people who are like wooo my sickness has finally gone at 10 weeks! I’m just like...what?! How?!

@TheChineseChicken I'm ok the CP didn't last that long anyway just trying to stay positive but being terrified at the same time of a) not making it to 11 weeks or b) making it to 11 weeks but then getting bad news!! How are you doing?

@Ells0204 the irony is that I want the sickness to kick in so I feel more pregnant!

@Ells0204 I had it until about 30 weeks with dd... hoping this time is doesn't last quite as long! It's nice to know we're not alone haha
It is nice to feel a bit more pregnant @TheChineseChicken I was very happy to get the first waves of nausea, kind of miss proper food now though- my hormones will only tolerate pickled onions, Red Leicester cheese and tomato soup 🤦‍♀️

That must be a very strange feeling having that hanging over you @MummyBearBoo, would the blood tests like the harmony be able to tell you sooner?

My morning sickness starts in the evening but I have to try and eat anyway even tho I feel sick and not at all hungry otherwise I get really bad hunger pains and feel dizzy the next day!! Xx

Im 6 weeks tomorrow and struggling with nausea for the last few days! I feel like the next 6 weeks will be torture if this keeps up! Nothing seems to be working...gone off food completely

@pinkstar01 -I was the same before I hit six week but I actually found that forcing myself to eat something actually helped! I was 6 weeks Monday and since I started forcing myself to eat 3 Times a day even if it's just something small I only get sickness when I rush around or in the evening so just have to rest after doing stuff and lay down after dinner! Eat small and often is best!! Xx
