Hi ladies, how's everyone progressing?

I'm just over 9 weeks now and starting to feel better, as long as I eat regularly I feel fine. Which is good because I'm starting a new job on Monday! It's only a 3 month contract and I havnt told them I'm pregnant, so fingers crossed i can manage it.

I still haven't heard anything about my booking in or 12 week scan, getting very annoyed. I've booked another private scan + harmony test for next weekend though so that should reassure me hopefully.

Just feel like the days are dragging right now...

MummyBearBoo · 14/06/2019 11:59

I know what you mean @pinkstar01 I'm sure the days feel like a month! I'm 10 weeks today but because the days are dragging It feels way longer plus I had my dating scan on Tuesday and that feels like so long ago now! What's worse my CVS is a week Monday and that is going to feel like the longest week and a bit my life I think!! The results take 3-4 days I think!! Xxx

TheChineseChicken · 14/06/2019 15:54

Hey @pinkstar01 good to hear from you! Glad you're starting to feel a bit better. Good luck with the new job Smile The time really does drag but from about halfway it gets a lot quicker, especially when all the scans are out the way.

Does everyone else feel less ill at the weekend? I think sitting on an office chair all day and not being able to eat at convenient times makes me feel a lot worse.

I'm 10 weeks today and have been feeling a bit better recently -(sorry TMI) just struggling to poo more than once or twice a week so keep getting stomach aches!! Got a phone consultation with Dr on Monday in the meantime just gonna eat shitloads if Polos!!! Xx

TheChineseChicken · 15/06/2019 07:55

@MummyBearBoo I think constipation can be quite common in pregnancy. Better get yourself some prunes!

Having said I feel better at the weekend I threw up at 5am. Empty stomach though so just loads of awful retching. We're in a hotel for the weekend so it probably sounded like I had overindulged the night before. Sad

Very excited about today though. We're away with friends for a birthday, childfree. Everyone else is hiking up a mountain today so I have a free day in a hotel room with a bath, my book, and my iPad to watch TV. Bliss.

Wow @TheChineseChicken sounds amazing!!
I'm off out with DDs best friends mum (we get on really well too) in town for an Italian and a few mocktails!! Daddy is babysitting! Don't really like prunes it's easing off a bit now anyway apart from the sore boobs most of my symptoms are better now I'm at just over 10 weeks!!! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 18/06/2019 09:49

Hi @TheChineseChicken -have you had your scan if so how did it go? Xxx

pinkstar01 · 18/06/2019 10:03

@MummyBearBoo how are you doing? Have you had your scan yet? I finally got my booking in appointment and it's the day before I turn 12 weeks but the scan isn't on that day it will be later, they're not leaving much time though!

I'm 10 weeks on Thursday and I already have a bump!! I didn't show this much with my first until I was almost 18-20 weeks! I look properly pregnant 😬

TheChineseChicken · 18/06/2019 10:55

@MummyBearBoo thanks for checking in! We had the scan this morning and saw a strong heartbeat and a super cute 8 weeker It was good timing as my sickness has got worse and this morning I was seriously questioning why I thought getting pregnant again was a good idea!

How are you?

@pinkstar01 I'm already in maternity jeans as I can't have tight clothes around my stomach area. I think second time around things all happen a lot quicker Shock

@TheChineseChicken that's great news! It definitely makes it feel worth it once you see the baby :) I'm almost 10 weeks and feeling so much better, just have to make sure I eat 4 meals a day and fine...just the tiredness is hard especially since I started my new job this week. But it's been okay so far thankfully!

We've got a private scan booked for this Saturday along with harmony test..excited!

TheChineseChicken · 19/06/2019 06:38

Glad you're feeling better @pinkstar01. My nausea and sickness has suddenly gone through the roof and I barely slept last night. Throwing up every time I eat something! I can't get in to work and have a big presentation tomorrow Sad

MummyBearBoo · 19/06/2019 09:30

@TheChineseChicken -glad your scan went well!
Yes @pinkstar01 I had a dating scan last week it showed me as 9+4 EDD 10 Jan - little one was wriggling round all over the place!
Got another scan Monday which is when they do the CVS test the needle is huge!! At the last scan though the baby wasn't using the placenta they said I t had formed and they said it was high and at the front which is good for the CVS!
I know what you mean about a bump I was doing the school run yesterday and a woman I know only to say hello to came up and said 'oh you're having another baby how lovely' -just from looking at my tummy!! I had to make her aware that DD doesn't know yet coz she was with me!! Coz I lost 2 stone before getting pregnant I had a flat stomach before so looks kinda obvious pretty sure it's water retention as at 10+5 baby is still really small! Xx

MummyBearBoo · 21/06/2019 08:19

@TheChineseChicken -hope you're feeling better -I'm 11 weeks today and have been feeling much better for the last week though my boobs are still incredibly sore I'm wearing a sports bra at night that seems to help!! Xx

TheChineseChicken · 22/06/2019 12:56

Hey @MummyBearBoo! This week has been a bit tough as I've had a terrible throat infection but I went to out of hours today and got something for the nausea so fingers crossed that helps a bit. We're on holiday next Friday for 2 weeks and I can't bloody wait for the rest.

How are you? I bet your starting to worry about Monday. I so hope the appointment goes well and that you get good news.

Are you doing anything nice this weekend? X

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 22/06/2019 15:41

That's good @TheChineseChicken hope they do help your nausea! Holiday sounds like a good idea!
I think worry is an understatement I'm pretty terrified! I'm not doing anything today DH is in bed nursing a hangover after a night out with work! He said he'd be home straight after the meal I'm pretty sure the meal finished well before 1am!!!
Tomorrow I'm at the IL's for Sunday Lunch and staying there that night as DD is staying there Monday while me and DH go to hospital then I'll have to rest for that day as my tummy is sore and bruised after! Xx

pinkstar01 · 22/06/2019 17:00

@TheChineseChicken I hope you feel better, throat infection sounds awful! And 2 weeks holiday sounds amazing, I've got a trip to Portugal coming up in 2 weeks for 4 nights with my girlfriends and I can't wait!

I just had a scan and went for harmony test, baby is doing well and growing nicely! It looked like a proper little baby now and apparently I'm measuring ahead by 5 days now!

liveinhope100 · 24/06/2019 12:09

Hi ladies, some of you might remember me. I've been on the posts quite a bit before, I definitely recognise some of your usernames.

Update on my side...Got a BFP after a year and half of trying but sadly had a miscarriage a few months ago so i'm back here again. Finally have been diagnosed with PCOS so this is the first month i'm starting Clomid, Metformin etc

Trying to stay positive now that I've finally received a diagnosis but now i've got the added stress of whether I can even carry a baby now. This is my second miscarriage. Waiting for blood test results and in meantime i'm taking baby aspirin and my gynae will give me progesterone if I get that BFP. It literally feels like one thing after the other so I'm just trying to take it day by day. My anxiety is awful at the moment though!

I'm going to have a read back to see how you all have been getting on but I can already see that @pinkstar01 and @TheChineseChicken both got your BFP's - congratulations!!!!

TheChineseChicken · 24/06/2019 14:49

Hi there @liveinhope100. Good to hear from you but so sorry about your bad news. I hope you don't have to wait too long for another BFP. Try not to be too despondent - 2 miscarriages could just be bad luck.

@MummyBearBoo how was today? I have been thinking of you.

OP posts:
MummyBearBoo · 24/06/2019 15:34

Scan was all normal obvs they can't tell about genetic condition til they get CVS results Friday or Monday but NT was normal so consultant said she'd be really surprised if it had Down syndrome heartbeat 162 bpm said I was measuring at 12 weeks even tho I'm 11+3! Baby was wriggling so much they struggled to measure - CVS was ok just got a sore tummy and feel a bit sick!
@liveinhope100 -I have PCOS but I've been pregnant 4 times in 4 years (inc 1CP) so it doesn't always stop you being able to carry a baby I've almost carried 3 to 12 weeks at least -1 DD, 1TFMR at 12 weeks and I'm currently 12 weeks according to my scan today but I think I'm 11+ 3! Xx

liveinhope100 · 24/06/2019 16:38

@TheChineseChicken Thank you! Good to hear from you too and i'm so pleased for your amazing news.

@MummyBearBoo It's so reassuring to hear things like this so thank you :) Were you on medication like Clomid/Metformin or did you get your BFP naturally? (And congrats on your pregnancy!)

MummyBearBoo · 24/06/2019 16:48

I've always been unmedicated for my PCOS before my DD I didn't have a period for 6 months -since then I've had regular periods but with a 42 day cycle it took 5 cycles TTC to get my BFP but I had a CP on cycle 3 too! Do you have a lot of symptoms with your PCOS? Xx

liveinhope100 · 24/06/2019 17:19

Oh wow. I actually don't think I have any noticeable symptoms of PCOS at all...I've had a couple of 34 or 36 day cycles but generally my cycle is 28-32 days.

I even used CB ovulation tests for the past 18 months, thinking that I ovulated as I got a peak (solid smiley) every month! But i knew something wasn't right after trying for so so long... so I paid for a scan and the lady confirmed PCOS. I'm just hoping these meds work because im tired of trying! lol xx

codenameduchess · 24/06/2019 17:50

You can ovulate with PCOS without medication, although probably not as regularly. Is it PCOS or PCO?
I have PCOS and was on metformin to encourage ovulation, it took 3 years first time to get it and my doctor was never keen on prescribing clomid so great that you've got it so quickly. It's also suggested (although there are no large enough studies yet) that metformin can reduce the risk of miscarriage in women with PCOS.
