Anyone else right at the start of a new cycle? I could do with some cycle buddies.

I'm 32, cycle 5 and TTC first baby. Regular cycles of 27/28 days.

Feeling bummed today - I really thought this month could be our month after all the DTD! Had my first TTC cry yesterday. Is that pathetic after just 5 months?!

Morning ladies just catching up with everything as I went away for the weekend so had some time out.

@blackfriars fingers crossed for the move

@louise190 hope you had a good weekend away. Any signs of AF?

@dweebette pregnancy announcements from others are so hard when you are TTC. I swear all my friends got pregnant first month. I then constantly get the question of 'when are you going to have a baby'. Drives me crazy.

According to Flo app i am CD27 today, 7DPO. AF due in 8 days. I have had to start a course of antibiotics so any symptoms i think i am feeling i am putting down to the antibiotics.
Although womb feels a bit heavy today which is how I feel in run up to AF (although this is a bit early). I am not convinced that this will be my month.

I feel that if i keep my expectations low perhaps i wont be so disappointed when AF arrives.

Louise190 · 11/06/2019 10:44

Hi @Wishing56 my weekend was good thank you, how was yours? Some cramps and moods but no official arrival as yet! I'm certain this isn't my month though!

Wishing56 · 11/06/2019 12:14

@louise190 it was good thanks. Nice to relax.

Fingers crossed for you!

keeponsmiling2019 · 11/06/2019 14:12

@louise190 I used Clearblue OPK for 4 months and can defo recommend them for learning about your cycle (appears mine is very regular) and it feels like you are doing something proactive but felt so much more relaxed not using them this month. We DTD every other day from CD7 to CD13 with EWCM in between so I think we did everything we possibly could, everything else is down to nature I guess.

This month I am trying to keep the 'everything happens for a reason' mentality and when it's our time, it will happen.

blackfriars · 11/06/2019 15:20

Hi ladies, today has been the worst day of waiting every - STILL haven't exchanged on the house and our sellers are now saying if we don't manage to complete this week we have to wait until 4th July....not so fun when we have already packed up the whole house! It will be a real strain financially as well too....what a pain.

The only benefit is that it has taken my mind of symptom spotting a bit! That said, the past two days I've had mild but definitely there back-ache, and definitely not felt like AF is on the way. Like...I can feel sort of crampy type pains but they don't feel like usually pre-AF pains (constant dull ache in lower stomach the day before AF). I wasn't going to say anything to DH as don't want to get his hopes up but he asked me when I was due AF yesterday and he could tell I wasn't telling him something so I caved. All I said was that this feels a bit different from normal.

That said I am still not too hopeful - I've only been off the coil 6 months and looking at Clue my symptoms haven't been exactly the same every month, so maybe this is just me being pre-menstrual.

Today is CD27 and all my cycles have been 27 or 28 days, so I think we will know by the end of the week.

I am trying not to get my hopes up but I really can't help it!

That does sound like a massive headache! I really hope that this is your lucky month though, sound like you're nearly there either way!
I'm CD24 and 11DPO. I had really sharp stabbing pains in the middle of the night on both sides of my hips which I haven't had before. I don't know if you check cm but I'm having a mix of creamy lotion like, then creamy/yellow tinged sticky stuff. Eww. Expecting AF on Friday, if not before!

Skyla01 · 11/06/2019 19:24

@blackfriars what a nightmare. Really hope you can get some idea of what's happening soon. On the up side it's exciting you are near the end of your tww! On both front hope you get some good news soon!

I've had cramping for 3rd day now. Quite mild, doesn't feel like af really. Just annoying. Plus I've had a bit of ewcm for 2 days now. Could it be late ovulation (I'm CD 27)?! DTD last night just in case. I'm back to waiting... don't know what I'm waiting for though! Looking forward to hearing about everyone else's progress (hopefully clearer than mine)!

Louise190 · 11/06/2019 20:55

@keeponsmiling2019 DP and I had a little heart to heart this evening and I think I am going to lay off testing and temping and go back to using only my period tracker app like I have done for years. It's not just a monthly disappointment when AF arrives, it's almost daily when I envision scenarios or plans we've got coming up or telling DP that we've got a sticky one! So instead I'm going to focus on getting super fit and healthy and keep my fingers crossed that a little miracle happens in the mean time!

Dweebette · 11/06/2019 22:00

@Louise190 that sounds like a really healthy approach, good luck!

@Skyla01 snap! I'm having mild cramps too that don't feel like the normal AF ones. Plus heartburn, which I don't even know if it's a sign or not but it's weird as I never get it and have had 2 days in a row now as well as feeling a bit queasy and light headed. Maybe I'm just coming down with something. Finding it impossible not to symptom spot even though Flo only has be at 8 DPO (CD29, feeling so envious off anyone with a normal cycle length right now!! Flo is predicting a 35 day cycle for me)

Wishing56 · 12/06/2019 08:58

Another friend announced she is pregnant this morning. Over halfway. Happy for her but still had a little cry to myself that it isnt me.

Skyla01 · 12/06/2019 09:30

@louise190 you need to do what makes you feel best. I think stopping opks for a while might take some stress out for you. It's hard to relax/ not obsess if you need to poas every day. If you've been period tracking for a while your app will be quite accurate anyway. Lots of dtd and you'll ways be covered. Good luck!

@dweebette I have no idea when to expect AF now! Glad to hear someone else has cramps now too, I'm not sure what causes them. I didn't have any last cycle.

blackfriars · 12/06/2019 09:30

@Wishing56 I can't believe you've had two in one week! That is a lot to take. I would have had a little cry too. Remind me when your AF is due? No sign yet?

@Dweebette and @Skyla01 - sounds like we are having similar symptoms....when are your AFs due? Mine is due today/tomorrow. When I woke up this morning I had more what I would describe as my usual pre-AF cramps so felt like I was out, but now I'm not sure again. The cramps generally are so confusing!

@Louise190 I think I might join you on giving the OPKs a miss next cycle if this isn't our month. I have found not testing early but waiting for AF has made me SO much more sane this month too, so thank you so much to everyone who said they were doing that and inspired me to do the same. I think it's because you still have that hope until AF arrives.

@keeponsmiling2019 - sounds like you've definitely got the right attitude in place this month! How are you feeling?

Really really hoping for some good news on this thread this week! xx

@Blackfriars I look a bit weird sitting at my desk with bloodshot eyes from crying. just telling work its hayfever haha. AF is due Weds 19th according to Flo app. Have some pre AF symptoms though so don't think it will be my month.

Fingers crossed for your house and BFP. When do you think you will test?

blackfriars · 12/06/2019 10:01

@Wishing56 Oh bless you - I hope you've got a cup of tea/something nice for breakfast. DH and I are off on (very) belated honeymoon on Saturday so I think if AF hasn't arrived by then I'd better test so I know whether I can get on the booze on holiday or not! Definitely holding off until then though - I am much preferring the not-knowing, though I must admit I think its built up my hopes more, so imagine I will be even more disappointed if this month isn't our month than I was last month.

House should exchange this morning fingers crossed, so then at least that's one uncertainty sorted! xx

OP posts:
Wishing56 · 12/06/2019 10:18

@blackfriars the girl i sit next to at work knows about TTC and she went and got me a bar of dairy milk bless her.

Ah amazing. Where are you off to? Thats good about the house. I work in property conveyancing so know how stressful it can be.

keeponsmiling2019 · 12/06/2019 10:23

@Louise190 I think focusing on staying fit and healthy and eating the right kind of thing is a really good approach for mind and body.

@Skyla01 I found trying to hold my wee for 4 hours really difficult and was waking up in the night with the whole thing playing on my mind.

@Dweebette I had these symptoms yesterday for the last couple of days. No idea if it's a good sign, but something I don't usually have...

@blackfriars My tummy is feeling really tight this morning rather than heavy and bloated like it would usually feel just before AF, but who knows! Starting to do the dreaded checking for blood when I wipe.
Fingers crossed for the exchange to happen today then. A holiday sounds just what you need whatever happens over the next few days.

@Wishing56 - sorry to hear you are upset. It's such an emotional time. My AF due Friday. I would like to hold off to POAS until Saturday if AF doesn't beat me to it.

Skyla01 · 12/06/2019 13:05

@blackfriars hope the house exchange goes through. Have a great honeymoon! It'll certainly help take your mind of TTC stress. Good idea to test before you go I think- it'd be nice to enjoy a few drinks if you can.

I have no idea where my cycle is at. CD28 so AF could be due any time, although had some ewcm last 2 days so could I have ovulated really late? Only 2nd cycle off the pill (1st cycle 60+ days long) so no idea what to expect. Just going to have to wait it out but I would prefer to have dates to work from.

Dweebette · 12/06/2019 19:35

@Wishing56 not another one! It's so tough. Glad your colleague was supportive though.

@blackfriars hope everything went well this morning, one less thing to think about!

@keeponsmiling2019 are you still having symptoms? I have a really bad backache today which I never have with AF but I just checked and my cervix is low and hard which is a sign that conception hasn't happened so pretty sure I'm out this month. I'm gutted and had a hard day (hard week!) at work so I'm really really sorry for myself and think I'll probably have a good cry later. Currently CD30 with another 5 or 6 to go before AF so I am so over this TWW. And bloody pissed off at my body for not doing what it's supposed to Angry

Louise190 · 12/06/2019 20:37

Thanks for your support everyone! I already feel a lot more relaxed and happier again, even though AF arrived today! I don't know if I'm being too unrealistic hoping that I will fall pregnant unexpectedly but I do know that there is more to life than TTC and I lost sight of that! I'll keep checking in and hope to see those BFPs soon!! ❤️

Wishing56 · 12/06/2019 21:09

@louise190 sorry to hear that AF arrived. Sounds like you are in a good place with it all. I think just do whatever makes you happy. Think putting too much pressure on ourselves is probably not helping.

Todays cry has been oddly therapeutic and at the moment I have the attitude of what will be will be (this may change as AF grows closer lol)

Peachyx2505 · 13/06/2019 07:46

I'll do a proper catch up after the school run.....

Sorry AF arrived @Louise190 xxx

blackfriars · 13/06/2019 08:05

Thanks so much for all your luck with the house! We exchanged yesterday! Completion delayed until the 27th which isn't ideal but it certainly could have been worse - what a relief!

@Louise190 sorry to hear AF arrived, but at least now you can start the next cycle afresh.

@Wishing56 glad you're feeling better after a good cry - definitely always helps me!

@Dweebette sorry to hear about your rubbish day, but you definitely aren't out yet - fingers crossed. Hope you had a relaxing evening at home.

@Skyla01 EWCM at this point sounds really confusing! The not knowing is such a pain - I was so impatient waiting for my cycle to settle down so I sympathise!

@keeponsmiling2019 I've been doing the dreaded check when I wipe check too, but nothing yet. Today is CD29 for me, and all my cycles have been either 27 or 28 days after my first long cycle after I had the coil out. My boobs also don't hurt even though they definitely would usually by this point...can your boobs NOT hurting be a sign? I've got to admit I am a bit hopeful at this point - I couldn't sleep last night as I let myself get a bit excited, and now knackered today as a result! Guess I'll just see how today goes.

Hope everyone is ok xx

@blackfriars Good news about the house! And good that there's no sign of your AF yet! Fingers crossed it doesn't come! Are you still planning to test before your trip? As for me I would feel better if I knew when to expect AF, so I know when I'm late but hey ho will just have to be patient. I guess I'd better enter another tww just in case.

@Louise190 sorry your AF came, but I'm glad you're feeling better and movinh forward.

Peachyx2505 · 13/06/2019 09:38

@blackfriars wahooo to exchanging! I'm secretly hopeful for you too.... everything sounds very promising. I always swing back and forth when it comes to symptoms.... I know with my son I saw the gp at 5 weeks and she said to me have you had any symptoms? I was like no no nothing.... she said give it a week and they will come as they mainly start at 6 weeks....They all hit my like a bus at 6 weeks.
But then why shouldn't we believe that sometimes our bodies can react earlier? Keeping everything crossed that af stays away🤞🤞 oh and have and amazing honeymoon!! Xx

@Wishing56 it's crazy isn't it how everyone is suddenly pregnant. My Facebook feed is filled with squishy newborns at the mo! Glad the cry helps. A good old cry is the best sometimes! Xx

@Dweebette be pissed off as much as you like lovely! It's bloody hard this ttc malarkey. I'm not a cervix checker but have read the basics (still have no clue!) will it be low until implantation occurs? And then rise again? I will keep everything crossed for af to stay the hell away xx

@Skyla01 I wonder if you're ovulating now? Cramps and ewcm? I'd be dtd just in case you are having another long cycle. We are definitely more in-tune with our bodies when ttc. The first few cycles I noticed every twinge! 🤞🤞

@keeponsmiling2019 any updates?? Hope AF has stayed away. 🤞🤞

Thanks ladies for your replies regarding mother in law. She's still fighting and will be coming home tomorrow. They are setting up a nursing bed in the living room for her which will keep her nice and comfy. It's tough, we've been through so much loss these last 6 years but you have to keep going. I'd love to be able to tell her we are pregnant.
No updates here, I'm around 10-12dpo at a guess? AF due sometime between Monday and Wednesday. I'm on nights over the weekend so that's a massive sign that AF will arrive! 😂 still keeping everything crossed for a miracle xx

keeponsmiling2019 · 13/06/2019 11:27

@Louise190 Sorry to hear your AF has arrived but it sounds as though you are in a better place to start your new cycle.

@Dweebette Sorry to hear you've not had an easy week. Keep hanging in there as you've still got a few more days yet. Just checked my cervix (never done this before) but it felt high up and really tight to put my finger in. Is that a good things CM has gone really thin, hardly any milky stuff today. Don't know what that means. I feel a but uncomfortable down there to be honest. My lower back is a bit sore but much better than it has been, the pain is now in my left hip.

@blackfriars Yay to the house change. At least you know what is happening now. I think you are on to a winner here...I've got my fingers crossed for you. What are your symptoms? I feel pretty nauseous, but doesn't help that I'm dreading AF coming and second now. When will you test? My boobs are sensitive and fuller but not painful anymore.

@Peachyx2505 That sounds very emotional what you are going through with your MIL, I applaud you for staying strong. My AF has stayed away... for now. I'm CD 26 and probably 13DPO. Think I had IB 7DPO. I expect AF within the next 48 hours. The latest bleed I've had is CD29. Any symptoms for you atm?
