OP posts:
Padfoot · 15/07/2007 22:17

oops x-posted

toomuch - I like bong instead of BD, maybe we should keep it

hi BB don't feel bad about hoping you were pg, we're all feeling the same way the good thing about MN is that we can voice our hopes/phantom symptoms amongst those who best understand the longing for them to be real. (hugs)

toomuchtimeonline · 15/07/2007 22:22

Bb - I need some of your common sense and grouning this month so I don't feel the rollercoaster this month!

Padfoot - so exciting to finally get the clomid and the ball rolling! I had a friend who took it and she said she was just a bit grotty for a couple of days - nothing too bad! She conceived twins on her first go

toomuchtimeonline · 15/07/2007 22:27

Bong it is!! Lots of bong for us all this month

Padfoot · 15/07/2007 22:28

toomuch - have not been sleeping as DH had his masters dissertation due in on Thurs am, so Wed night (til 2am) was spent proof reading it for him, Thurs night I had to wait up for him to come home after celebrating handing it in (he hadn't taken a key) and Friday night we had guests staying and didn't get to bed til 1am. (I had to get up at 6.15 for work each day inc Sat) guests were here last night too but we got to sleep in til 10am this morning

Padfoot · 15/07/2007 22:30

bong bong bong all month long

toomuchtimeonline · 15/07/2007 23:04

Padfoot - sorry to hear you're tired! But good news that the dissertation is now in and the other late nights were having fun!! Hopefully you can catch up with sleep this week..

monthlymayhem · 16/07/2007 07:44

Oh my god!!!!! After all my worrying last night that I wasn't ovulating, got a BFP this morning!! I absolutely cannot believe it!! I have honestly had no symptoms at all with exception of sore boobs. Have stared at the clear blue stick till my eyes hurt but it's definitely a big blue cross!!! DH isn't home for another 30 mins from night shift, Oh my god!!!

poppy75 · 16/07/2007 08:48

Hello everyone

MM- that is fantastic and gives us hope

Hello Padfoot and Mrs R- I've been ttc since last July, had m/c in June last year at 10 weeks. Didn't have to try very hard for 1st pregnancy so was really shocked that it hasn't happened since. Just trying to concentrate on other things and hoping this will help me relax

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 09:08

MM congratulations!!
Best of luck with your pg

MrsRigby · 16/07/2007 09:14

Many congratulations to you MM, I'm so happy for you and hope the pregnancy goes well

MrsRigby · 16/07/2007 09:15

Thanks Padfoot, I'm REALLY hoping that Clomid works, I'm desperate for babies - arn't we all

mistlethrush · 16/07/2007 09:29

MM - congratualations!

I like Bong as a term - much better! Mind you, any other mnetter reading this thread from now on will do a double take and wonder what we're on about!

DH forgot that he doesn't really want #2 in the near future, although I think that he probably left it about 2 days too late to give me any hope for this month.. However, better late than never as they say... .

Hows the weather elsewhere - very mixed here, very gloomy at times but with patches of sunshine.

Fi - I knew that I'd picked the right bedding out in Ikea for you! Your star story just confirms it.

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 09:41

poppy - have you been to gp to see if everything's ok? if not I would go as it's been a year since you started trying again. My gp was quite helpful in doing tests and referring us quickly, we're now under the gynae at the local hospital. fingers crossed for you
MT as you say better late than never - and sometmies not expecting it might make you more relaxed about it. My friend fell pg when her DH was away with the military as she thought it was too early before he went but they BD'ed (or bonged) anyway, and he came home to the good news a few weeks later. She thinks it was the fact that the pressure was off meant she relaxed and therefore got pg.

PinkMartini · 16/07/2007 09:49

Hello

Congrats MM{grin]

Well, CD29 and abt 17dpo (was due last Friday - so 4 days late). I've had a twingy crampy af style pains but nothing (I'm turning into an obsessive knicker checker!) I'm q hungry and tired and but the cheapo pg tests are still showing a BFN.

I don't know whether to go and get a clear blue - are they that much more sensitive?

Anyone?

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 10:12

MM - big congrats!!!! Was that your first month trying then?

PM - Which cheapo tests were you using? Some of the cheapo ones are meant to be quite sensitive so not sure if clear blue is better or not.. perhaps more reliable. I read on one report that first response are the best for early testing.. but not much experience..

MT- I hope you ovulated slightly later than you thought and the your bong worked

MrsR - Clomid is supposed to have really good success rates so I'm sure you'll get your bfp soon!

Padfoot - how are you feeling today - did you get a good nights sleep?

Treenie/Fi - any news?

Poppy - don't panic we'll all get there in the end [fingers crossed emotion]

fifilou · 16/07/2007 10:28

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 10:37

Fi - everything crossed for you! Enjoy your fun in the park!

I've just posted a new thread on implantation bleeding.. I think I'm losing my mind!

MrsRigby · 16/07/2007 14:25

Big wave back at ya toomuchtimeonline

Poppy 75 - I'm really sorry to hear that you m/c . My fingers are crossed for you getting pregnant again soon and going full term.

Pinkmartini, I have not really had very much experience myself, but it is my understanding that one pregnancy test is much alike another. That said I keep reading that First Response gives a result earlier.

MrsRigby · 16/07/2007 14:31

I'm winding myself up thinking I'm pregnant:

missed period (2 weeks late, but have irregular/infrequent cycle);
been sick/feeling sick for about week and half;
stomach cramps;
lower back pain;
blue veins on my boobs;
itchy nipples (though this seems to have stopped);
breasts seem fuller;
trousers are slightly tighter;

but 2BFN

Not going to waste any more money on pregnancy tests, going to see gynae on Wed so hopefully he/she will be able to say one way or other.

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 14:47

oh MrsR how confusing for you. I really hope it's good news on Wed, keep us posted and your chin up

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 14:51

PM can you get a blood test at the docs? Otherwise I'd just keep testing every couple of days until either BFP or AF shows up. Tesco's do a cheaper test than the name brands. Think first response detect lower levels of HCG (they say they can detect pg at 10 DPO) but think most are quite sensitive. The reason people like the CB digital is that it definitively says pg / not pg, there's no squinting at it in a certain light and at a funny angle to see if the line's there or not.

Ready · 16/07/2007 15:10

Hey ladies... I can't keep up with all this moving about malarkey...

Hope everyone is ok?

I am mid-cylce, ovulated yesterday if my temp hike this morning is correct. Gynae appointment tomorrow... nervous.

Big wave to the new recruits, congrats on the BFP, and lovely to see you Bella.

Padfoot · 16/07/2007 15:46

Hi Ready it's nomore here. Glad to see you back, have missed you good luck for tomorrow, hope it goes ok. Have just emailed you.

BellatrixBear · 16/07/2007 16:04

Lovely to see you too Ready, I've been missing you!
Good luck with appt tomorrow

toomuchtimeonline · 16/07/2007 16:32

Hi everyone! I've perked myself up (I mean after all it's only month 1 - don't know why I'm being such a wuss!) - I'm CD 3 and I've just ordered some pre-seed (anyone tried this?) so that I can play at rabbits this month

Ready - Good luck with your appointment!

Padfoot - Thanks for being so nice to me - I know I must come across as a stupid so and so since I'm only in month 1 - but I appreciate your messages!

Everyone else [big wave]
