hiya pop glad you're feeling so positive.

thank god it's friday! lol. althou hoping this rain stays off - we're ment to be cutting the grass (jungle) over the w/e with DB and his GF - will be a real tester that one as it will be the first tiem i've seen GF since we were talking about our LO's being born at the same time (well 3/4 weeks apart)

just plodding along this end - DH will be in for some action this w/e as he's away next week lol. have v v sore boobs thou, damn things!

popsy76 · 17/08/2007 13:42

lucky DH - mr popsy is on vacation from minipopsymaking duties for a few weeks - sex for fun...who would have thought it ?

Popsy - it is like we are telepathic or something! You always seem to say just what I am feeling.

I am also feeling scared now of conceiving again cos I am just beginning to feel that life is fab again!

We are weird...

Anyway, I probably feel that way cos hopefully I will be PG again next month cos my consultant has put me on Clomid!!

He said my three-month periods were normal (for me) cos I've always had them like that and that there's nothing wrong with me. But he said three-month periods are not good for trying to conceive cos if I release an egg after ten weeks it probably won't be viable anyway! We just got lucky last time (probably a rebound effect from the pill - but even that was a nine-week cycle)

So he has given me some progesterone to make my period come and then after that (next week) I will start taking Clomid. Anyone for twins?!

So I am pretty happy (and a bit scared really cos I will shit it when I am pregnant again in case I have another miscarriage) but I just have to get on with it. I am trying not to expect to get pregnant straight away - just chill a bit.

I have been totally snowed under at work but thought all my MN pals would want to know what happened at my appt so just had to check in and let you know.

Hello ladies just popping in to see how you are ? how is it going? Lovely to see your number decreasing (congratulations again Ellie G )

Only been reading what?s happened to day so sorry if I?ve missed any bombshells

popsy76 · 17/08/2007 16:32

oooh nh I'm all jealous of your clomid - god i wish i could have some...
hmmm that is silly - i think I am OV normally now so its no use to me...what i really hope is that "it" (what ever that magic combo may be) works for both of us soon so we can celebrate together . we are like MC after ttc twins aren't we ...

Hi mrsMc how it all going?

Hi gilly hope things have calmed down for you

nh101 · 17/08/2007 16:45

ha ha - I didn't even notice that Popsy!

Yes I am sure it will both happen for us next month. Keep the faith.

I am getting the absolute worst EWCM right now. I assume it is the progesterone, which I started taking the morning. Or could I actually be Ov' ing after all this time (CD72 now)??

It is the first time I've had it properly though so at least I know what to look out for now.

[Trying not to get too excited about maybe actually OV'ing and getting PG again emoticon]

ladylush · 18/08/2007 11:15

Morning all nh - have you got any aches down there as sometimes that in addition to ewcm signifies ovulation.

PiggyPenguin · 18/08/2007 18:59

Hi, I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of months now following a mc in January. Finally plucked up courage to ttc again, wondered if it is ok for me to join properly? (crosses fingers walks away quietly...)

Sprogstersmum · 18/08/2007 20:56

Hello all - AF arrived today 2 days early but still after I'd wasted another fiver testing - absolutely gutted (not about the money, about the negative test!)feel like it will never happen and DD will be an only child which I never wanted (although obviously am v grateful for her). Didn't really told anyone about MC and not family and am sick of hints about when we'll have another one - they don't even know we're trying. Sorry - just venting really.

Waiting2Exhale · 18/08/2007 23:27

Hi all and newbie Sybilvimes, I've also been lurking for about a month now and wanted to know if it would be ok if i joined.

Have been TTC for two months now and am hoping for a BFP this month.

Am CD 22 and expecting AF around the 25th August.

KD73 · 19/08/2007 08:43

Hi,

This is my first posting and I am looking for advice.

After three years of being too careless with contraception, my dp and I dragged ourselves off to the GP. We were duly referred to the hospital, where we were told following a laparoscopy that other than a v.small piece of endometris and a substantial cyst on an ovary, we were all fine and dandy and our lack of baby, was put down to "unexplained infertility".

We decided post op, we would try again to conceive and if nothing happened by August, we would contact the hospital for clomid.

In July, we found ourselves expecting - hoorah!!!

Unfortunately, miscarried at the beginning of this month .

Really want to try again, feel like clock ticking (I am mid thirties).

Don't know whether to buy a fertility monitor (Clearblue, persona, Boots own brand). Contact the hospital to get the clomid or just wait my turn.....

Any suggestions?

pipsqueeke · 19/08/2007 11:41

w2e - course you can join us. hiya welcome to the group - althou sorry you had to join us at all. good luck for the 25th.

sprogs - don't worry about venting we need to think up some good come backs don't we for all of these well wishing family memebers

syb - course you can join as well - sorry to hear about your m/c as well thou. hoping you have a bfp soon

nh - glad you've got some tablets now - did the dr say increased ewcm was a good sign?

hiya KD, sorry to hear of your loss as well. I use persona (is currently being shared between wheely and myself ) I used it pre ds and fell within 3 months of using it (and DH being home! lol) and then again this time I have used it again I think for 2/3 months and we fell again - sadly this time it was not such good news but i'm using it again (hopefully one last time) to try and get back int eh saddle again. I love the persona as you pee on the stick and then wait no looking at the lines etc as a little 'o' comes up when the time is right - no hassles! lol. I think ther'es a few girls mid thirtys so you're not that old!

well DB/SIL are here and all is going well - had real arguements with DH again last night - not sure if this is still pg homrones/pmt homrones or what bloody homrones but something's making me the bitch from hell! lol. still onwards and upwards.

Waiting2Exhale · 19/08/2007 12:11

Thanks pip....am so excited I brought some of those early test strips. Will start testing about Tues I think, although I know this is probably too early :-)

Have a Ds already, would would love another so that they can keep each other company. lol

pipsqueeke · 19/08/2007 12:17

w2e - I have been but so far nothing - tbh i'm not expecting anything to happen, althou with DS I had a m/c at 5 weeks and then a pos test 25 days later so we shall see.

pipsqueeke · 19/08/2007 12:20

(sorry I ment OV strips not tests ones! lol)

PiggyPenguin · 19/08/2007 12:22

w2e, we will all be waiting to hear from you from tues then! The 2ww is so long when you are desperate to know, I don't blame you for testing early. Last month was my first time ttc after the mc and I was terrified to test unless I got a bfp and then another mc. In the end AF came two days late and I was so gutted to see her, and now I am really anxious that maybe there was a reason she was late so I have decided that it doesn't help either way and next time I will probably test immediately - if not before. Sorry that was a bit garbled, hope you understood!

Waiting2Exhale · 19/08/2007 12:23

Pip, if you don't mind me asking, what is your cycle...?

Waiting2Exhale · 19/08/2007 12:30

Hi Sybil, sorry to hear about your MC. Whats your cycle. Its great hear as everyone is sooo supportive.

PiggyPenguin · 19/08/2007 12:52

I'm cd 5 (if cd means what I think it does! ) A long way to go before any potentially exciting news I'm afraid.

Waiting2Exhale · 19/08/2007 14:03

Ok....well thats great you should be looking to BD soon...hehehhe....lol.

pipsqueeke · 19/08/2007 14:44

w2e - i'm 19 days since passing the sac (well passed it on the 31st) and I think 15 since the placenta went, so no idea where in my cycle (if I have one this month - not expecting one) I am, quite relieved! lol. usually my cycles were 26/27 days, althou in the 2 cycles prior to getting a BFP I had a 32 day and a 30 day one which for me is extreamly odd.

DH just has a bit of luck every now and again as he's going away a lot (makes this planning a baby lark a bit hard! lol - last time he'd been home for 7 weeks straihgt so that's prob what did it! lol)

lovelylou · 19/08/2007 16:33
