Hi ladies, our old thread is full and now I can't find anyone
I have posted here and on bereavement thread with same title - come join me if you find this

OP posts:
popsy76 · 31/07/2007 14:16

torres cross posts there
glad to hear you sounding so positive! Lots of sleep does wonders doesn't it?
Fingers crossed for all of us that
a) we get PG and
b) while we are waiting we don't go totally nuts and get committed

OP posts:
torres · 31/07/2007 14:16

Hi popsy- I'm such a slow typer we crossed posts. Enjoy the reflexology- I had acupuncture last week and felt all floaty for days!

very envious about you seeing the purple midget!

Are we still doing an August cake-a-thon? I think Gilly is moving down this week

popsy76 · 31/07/2007 14:22

Yes - we never got round to getting a date sorted did we - how about Friday after work 17th August? Or one in September if that is too soon for everyone to organise? I am nervous about meeting everyone - is weird being virtual friends! However I met Mr Popsy this way so should be a breeze

Oh god have realised that makes me sound like internet stalker - we met through a friend and emailed for months before meeting...honest and

OP posts:
torres · 31/07/2007 14:49

nothing wrong with being an internet stalker!!

17 Aug is fine by me.

I will no doubt spend the entire day fretting my social skills aren't up to much and I will be forever shunned on MN!

flosspot · 31/07/2007 15:40

popsy76 (birth year? in which case we are same age...) also met DH via the interweb, so don't think you are a crazy stalker. Could i invite myself to cake-a-thon or do I need a badge and the secret password?

Man I am having a fat-fingered day. Keep having to type everything twice. Just posted a question about what counts as CD1 and someone said it was stupid post I actually cried[embarrassed] Blaming it all on Clomid.

Glad to hear things are well in land of Popsy, torrres(extra r to make you sound more spanish/latin!!)etc. How do you guys stay so upbeat?

nh, kensgirl. Very envious of your hols. We are buying a new house so may never be able to afford to take hols again! Plus had mc on hol, so bit nervous about them at the mo. Wouldn't mind a lovley break though.

Lissie- you are really going through the mill. We are all here for you.

To all others I have overlooked/neglected/stomped on. Apologies. Hope you are enjoying sunshine too.

torres · 31/07/2007 15:49

Hi flosspot- I'm only upbeat as I've been signed off work due to getting over emotional and stressed out- wait until i have to venture into the real world tomorrow!

That's pretty mean whoever said your post wa stupid- I had no idea about any of this ttc malarkey before I came on MN.

I can't imagine Clomid helps- I've not had it but heard it can magnify PMT significantly- hope you're not having too tough a time.

Of course you can come along for cakes, it's an open invitation. I think we're planning to go to Ottolenghi on Upper street in Islington.

Name badges might not be a bad idea... I'm hopeless with names anyway and its going to tax my brain to remember 2 names for each person!

MsG · 31/07/2007 16:03

That's horrible to say a post was stupid! Take no notice, Flosspot!

Feeling very nervous as I'm coming up to my fertile time - first time since my m/c 6 weeks ago. x

popsy76 · 31/07/2007 16:14

Okay Torrrrrrrrrrres we have set a date hooray

fingers always fat flossy but now sweaty at idea of having to be scintillating and almost sane with you all without alcoholic crutch yikes!!!

Very excited about eating cake though!

1976 was a very good year Flossy (hot hot summer - or so I am told)

Can I ask why you are on Clomid? I wanted doc to give to me immed but am having tests first - know am just very impatient with my poor body

debating whether to tell Mr Pops about meeting as he tends to think MN was just a "stage"

Hi MsG (is your name linked to yummy soy sauce additves?) hope you are okay - just go for it with pure abandon and try to maintain some of the innocnece we have all lost - from reading this thread you will see we have all had such varied experiences - you might be similar to any one of us or have a totally different one - you go girl (lucky DH )

OP posts:
LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 16:22

Saw the other thread Flosspot, can't believe this Icod person who said that to you. Did you see their profile? Looks wrong to me. Is it possible to report someone who is purposefully posting nasty stuff?

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 16:28

Good luck MsG - I am still waiting for 1st AF since ERPC which was 4 weeks ago yesterday. How slooooowly can time go?

flosspot · 31/07/2007 18:52

Very slowly Littlesquirt. I waited seven weeks (although to be fair cycles are around 40 days and have been as long as 120- you have no idea how many tests I did that month!)for af. It's been, it's gone and I've prepared DH.

Good luck MsG- all will be well. I truly believe that.

Popsy- very hot summer 1976- and don't I know it. get it every year around my birthday...."24 hours I was in labour with you....so hot I could barely breathe...." On Clomid for veerrrry looonnngg cyyycclleeees, and not getting pregnant and PCOS and, well, you get the idea. No (permanent) joy yet.

Good luck with outside world Torrrres. One day at a time, and if in doubt, focus on the cake. We'll all be consuming it in vast quantities to get over the whole real life thing, I'm sure.

flosspot · 31/07/2007 18:53

PS- tell Mr Popsy about meeting. It's the responsible thing to do. And he needs to know MN not a 'stage' but a way of life!!!!

At least that's what I tell Mr Floss.

MsG · 31/07/2007 19:15

Thanks both of you! My name's rubbish, I kept trying different one's but they were already taken so I just used the G cos it's one of my initials!

I was wondering, is there a way to report posts on here if you're not happy with them or someone is out of line?

It's great, this forum, but I'm still struggling a bit with all the acronyms - I have to keep looking them up!

torres · 31/07/2007 19:17

Flossy- I like your way of thinking! cake is an essential means for coping I find.

I told Mr Torres about our cake meeting and he got the giggles . I'm not sure what he thinks we will do, I think he has in his head it will be like an AA meeting where we each stand up and announce we've had a mc!

Hope Mr popsy takes it better!

littlesquirt- I found the waiting intolerable, but I am an impatient control freak. It took 6 weeks for mine to return. I had acupuncture in part to calm down and in part to bring on AF and AF did start the next day but it could be coincidence.

Msg- go for it! I felt nervous ahead of the first time after my mc but it was fine and felt good to be 'normal'

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 19:32

Thanks for the tip Torres. I have circled 13th August on my calendar, it will be 6 weeks from my ERPC then. If AF's not arrived by then I'll try acupuncture!!

torres · 31/07/2007 19:37

If nothing else littlesquirt, they put a heat lamp over your tummy which made me feel lovely and sleepy- I think I was a cat in a former life!

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 19:44

Oooh, really?? I have never had acupuncture before, so the only thing I know about it is that it involves needles, which generally isn't my idea of fun! (I know they they are hair-thin tiny but still)

But I like the idea of the heat lamp thingy!
I have heard other people say that acupuncture and reflexology can really help regulate hormones so will start looking into it. Did you have reflexology too?

torres · 31/07/2007 19:52

no I haven't but I think they work on the same principles and lots of people seem to have success so I thought it worth a go. It certainly calms me down and I don't really notice the needles going in and I'm a real wimp!

Wheelybug · 31/07/2007 19:55

Hello All - Torres saw your hello on the other thread so thought I'd pop in and say a proper hello !

Sorry there are so new people on her ... wishing you luck. Sorry there are also oldies on here - come on come on try a bit harder (she says, tongue firmly in cheek). I know I'm a fine one to talk it now being a YEAR since my m/c. Am v. bored of it all.

No news from wheelybugworld - didn't try that hard this month as we were both exhausted, me mainly due to my failed attempts to potty train a very stubborn 2.5 year old. Also then got a cold. Actually not even sure if (or when) I ov as I didn't even do OPKs too consistently and didn't get a positive and no OV pains. So, luckily I have just had a day21 blood test so that should show hopefully. DH is gearing up for his 'test' but I've told him he may as well wait until after I have the results of mine back as no point going through the indignity if its my problem.

Lissie - I can't believe the treatment at the hospital. Thats terrible, you have every right to be gutted.

Torres - glad you're feeling a bit better

Kensgirl - enjoy your holiday and nice to see you !

Popsy - hello !

I was thinking if there was a way to make the cakefest but it would involve getting someone to look after dd and thats always a palaver as we only really leave her with a grandparent and htey all live away .... would have loved to have joined you otherwise (sticks thinking cap on head !).

Right off to lurk on the other thread to see what is happening...

jess1996 · 31/07/2007 20:02

Hello ladies. I'm in a bit of limbo at the moment. Went for a scan today as I've no idea how far along I am (thought 5+6 was most likely), but nothing at all visible on scan. EPAU think possible ectopic. Had blood test and HCG is 964. So possibly not as far along as I thought. I'm waiting for another blood test on Thursday.

Wheelybug · 31/07/2007 20:10

sorry to hear that Jess - the waiting is horrid isn't it. Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 20:27

Oh no Jess

Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Big hugs

ronshar · 31/07/2007 20:39

Evenin to everybody.
I am very annoyed. I was sort of getting up the courage to join in the cake fest, however you are doing it two days after I go on my hols!
Oh well saves me the worry that you will all think I am crazy in real life too.
It is good to see nh101 back online. I was worring that all of us March/April mc girls had finally lost all remaining sanity and had been carted off to the loony bin!!

I have made a few trips outside of the mc and ttc threads and lots of people are very unkind to each other out there. There is a group who obviously know each other well and kind of take over.
If you click on the red ! at the right side of each post it informs mn towers of something you find unacceptable.

lissie · 31/07/2007 20:54

hi all, what thread has got you hot under the collar?

torres · 31/07/2007 22:07

Hi ronshar- we can easily change the date for the cake- fest, the more the merrier. I think Popsy just picked a date to get us all organised.

when do you get back from hols?
