hi all have a little question. got my first af after m/c last week which lasted 4 days and was pretty light. then had 3 days without it, then had a small bleed yesterday which just lasted a little while and is gone now. any ideas on what this cld be? we did bd the night before it. very confused but maybe i shouldn't worry about it? maybe body just settling after m/c. we did bd before af and didn't bleed like this before (sorry if tmi) thanks for your help.

iwillbepositive · 28/07/2007 16:23

Thanks to all for the congrats. Was prob a bit premature in posting - this one lasted all of 2 days. Felt a bit cold and odd yesterday and then started bleeding today . BFN on CB digital just to confirm things. When will this ever happen????

Hope yours is a lot stickier Siameez.

ronshar · 29/07/2007 12:04

Oh dear iwillbe, that is rubbish news.
I am living through all of you who are still so positive and are really trying hard for that BFP.
I am sending lots of positive thoughts out to you all. They havent worked for me yet so who knows they might be better for everyone else!.

PicknMix · 29/07/2007 13:12

Iwillbepositive, I'm so sorry to hear your news. I'm thinking about you now as I can only imagine how you must be feeling. I hope you manage to have a relaxing weekend.

Kazza, I'm afraid I don't know enough to be able to give you any answers - all I know is thatit has taken ages to get back to anything resembling a 'regular' af after my mc. Hope somebody much more helpful than me will be along soon

ladylush · 30/07/2007 00:03

Hello Kazza, it can take a while before you get a normal period post m/c. I've had 3 and in all cases the cycle fell back into sync quite quickly but the bleeding would last quite a long time and would be heavier than usual. This time (post ERPC) I have decided to try reflexology to help balance my hormones and get my cycle back on track quicker. It does seem to be helping a lot.

Iwillbe - so sorry Like the new name though and I think you should keep it as being positive will help a lot while ttc.

jess1996 · 30/07/2007 07:44

Hi kazza, my 1st two AFs after m/c were a bit like what you described. I would have a fairly normal AF, but then this would be followed by up to a week of light intermittent spotting. My GP said it sometimes takes a while for your body to settle. They did some blood tests and by the time I got the results (normal) things had settled down. I was so annoyed at the time, all I could think about was ttc again and I couldn't even do that.

Sorry to hear your news iwillbe.

I am very confused at the moment as I got a BFP yesterday (very strong line) despite having af only 12 days ago. My last 2 AFs were a little lighter than usual, but I thought it was my body still sorting itself out. So I've no idea if I'm definitely pregnant and if so how many weeks!

lissie · 30/07/2007 07:50

jess, if it was a strong bfp then you will be over 4w pg. make an appt today with your gp, explain about your mc and odd cycles since it. you should get an early scan.

popsy76 · 30/07/2007 10:29

lissie · 30/07/2007 22:58

LittleSquirt · 31/07/2007 08:50

Good luck Lissie, really hope you do get one sooner!

kensgirl · 31/07/2007 11:21

Hi all! i only seem to get the chance to pop in here every so oftenlately, but do think of you all lots. School hols now though, o I hope to be around a bit more. We are off to the Dominiican republic next week though, so fingers crossed that we bring home an extra special holiday souvenir....

CD 3 of cycle 10 since mc though, but only 7.5 months, so if its stil not a bfp after this yle I think I will be off to the GP to put the ball in motion . I've started getting bit spotty just befroe AF, any idea if this is just normal hormones or more likely to ne an imbabalnce?

Torres - hows things? have you had any more advice yet?

basil - sorry you have had to come back to us. Big hugs.

popsy- glad you had a good holsiday, whats new with you too?

Lissie - sorry to see your roller coaster shows no sign of giving you a break yet

Everyone - hope you are all well and smiley xx

nh101 · 31/07/2007 11:50

Hi everyone, just back from hols - it has been hard to try to catch up.

So so sorry Basil, I just don;t know what to say... but we all totally understand what you are going through. You will get there.

I am on CD 56 . Just been on hols so hopefully lots of BDing has given me what I want. Keep getting BFNs though.

Went to docs yesterday and he said it could be stress stopping my periods but they were never regular even when I was young (before went on pill) They were often three months apart. I am going for blood tests tomorrow to check Prolactin, FSH, LH and thyroid.

Anyone else had these done?

Have you been for your scan/tests Popsy?

popsy76 · 31/07/2007 14:10

OOOOH how exciting kensgirl and nh feels like an old skool reunion

Lovley to hear from you both - it does help just popping in every now and again doesn't it - makes it all seem a bit less DESPERATE when not posting everyday (but I soon get hooked )
Going for bloods on Thursday (CD12) - asked hozzy if that sounded right and she said she has women in all days so not to worry

Nothing on scan yet - but took ages when was PG so not holding my breath - maybe I'll be successful this cycle and they'll find a LOVELY suprise ...or not knowing my luck ha ha

Have made a pact with myself to stop drinking and get back on the exercise - can't be doing my body any good and is adding to the depression as the waistline expands

Am going to do a 10K late september to give myself something to concentrate on

Booked a reflexology sesh for tonight (thanks ladies for the tip) - am very excited to get all chilled (though a bit worried she won't be able to do anything due to hoof-like feet )

kens I have also started getting spots again which i took to be a good sign that hormones coming back? I am also having tingly boobs and shooting pains in them through the month which is a bit annoying (maybe I am going through puberty at last )

Hope everyone is having a positive day and enjoying the glorious sunshine

p.s.. going to see the purple midget tomorrow YAY (went when was 16!)

Hi all

Nh and kensgirl- glad you posted, had been wondering about both of you!

nh- CD 56? it must be a nightmare to have such long cycles, I'm glad you're getting some blood tests so you can find out if theres any underlying problem.

Kensgirl- so glad you got the holiday booked. Lets hope a break from school and some pampering in the sun encourgae a bfp! I'm in a better frame of mind just now thanks. I had a week off work and spent most of it asleep so I think that reflects the state I'd got myself in. I've got a hospital appointment at the end of August, and just having that booked is giving me some peace of mind that at least I have an opportunity to discuss everything.

lissie- I am so so cross for you. That's unbelieveable behaviour from the hospital. I've heard of them cancelling appointments, but not even telling you is awful. I'm so sorry you have yet another wait. sending big hugs your way.

popsy- hi hon! can completely identify with you about ttc taking over the whole year. Glad you had a fab hols, and your cycle is settling down. Do you have a date for your hospital appointment yet?

jess- tentative congrats- I saw your other post and have fingers crossed tightly that the scan was just too early to see anything. When will you get the blood tests back? are they going to rescan you?

mrsmc-please post as often as you feel able to, I miss you! Is everything ok with you?

hello to everyone else
