Yes I agree flosspot - and one tends to feel a bit defiant after a m/c anyway I find the first bit of defiance is signified by me ditching the pregnacare. An ERPC is evacution of retained products of conception (same as D&C I think) often used in the case of a missed m/c. I have decided to have another week of moping/getting my strength back, then I am resuming the pregnacare, swimming/jogging and eating healthily again. Thats the plan anyway. Hopefully I will not be too depressed to stick to it.

jess1996 · 16/07/2007 10:34

Hello. I've been sent over here from the miscarriage threads. I had a missed mc in February and have been ttc ever since with no success. I was on the temping buddies thread, but I gave up temping as I thought it was making me more stressed. But now I'm more stressed than ever as I don't know when af is due (probably some time this week). I'm really struggling at the moment. I want to be pregnant again so much and it just isn't happening.

ladylush · 16/07/2007 10:41

Hi Jess, welcome to thread and sorry to hear about your m/c in feb I had one in December and it took 4 months to conceive again (but just lost that one)so it can take a while. Time drags when you are desperate to be pregnant. Do you do charting, temping or anything like that? I didn't do any of those things but I did check my cervical mucus for an indication of when I was fertile. Some women swear by pre-seed as well (it's a lubricant which is supposed to be sperm friendly - as evidence suggests that other ones (inc. saliva)are not. Hope you get your bfp soon.

my1stbaby · 16/07/2007 12:19

ladylush sorry to read about your m/cs. i was told i could ttc again whenever i feel ready. but to be honest it took my body at least 3 AF cycles to get back to some form of normality. my m/c was at 12 wks, so it a while for HCG levels to go down and i didn't get AF until 6 wks after m/c. good luck with ttc and take care

jess i totally understand how you feel. i too had a m/c back in feb and was getting myself very stressed ttc again. for the 1st 2 mths, i tried temping, OPK and fertility monitor but all my OPKs were negative and the monitor just indicated low fertility throughout. temp was up and down like a yo yo. so i gave up and decided to rely on cervical mucus. i found that CM is very accurate for me. we BD on the days i get CM, regardless whether it's the egg white type or not. we stopped BD once my CM has dried up for 1-2 days. i started counting the day that i had dry CM after the wet ones as day 1 post ovulation. HTH. take care and good luck x

hope everyone else is ok and had a good w/end [sile]. well, beanie and i reached our 1st milestone today; 5+1 and beanie is still here with us. we are very relieved and still keeping our fingers crossed. i stopped bleeding finally at the weekend and have an app at the gp on wed to check that all is ok. a bit anxious obviously but everyday that we managed to keep the little beanie is a victory for us x

MrsMcJnr · 16/07/2007 12:25

Downbutnotout ? It is so hard being the one that it happens to out of that statistical 10, you can?t help thinking why me. Fact is awful things happen to people all the time but you only have your own experiences to go by and whilst I am sure I have led a blessed life losing my baby was the very worst thing that has ever happened to me. Be kind to yourself x Keep the hope, mine is getting bigger every day and I just cannot believe my luck .

Flosspot ? what?s the story then hon? You ok? Did the old hag turn up?

Ladylush I have been taking pregnacare solidly since last June. Any reason to give it up?

Angua ? now that?s what I call first urine!

So sorry Ellie better luck this cycle!

Hello Jess we?ve met lots of places before hon. Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time of it hon. Hope this thread helps you

ladylush · 16/07/2007 12:27

my1stbaby so pleased your beanie is sticking around (and sorry to hear of your m/c). Good luck with it all xx

ladylush · 16/07/2007 12:30

Mrs McJ - no reason other than out of defiance. It was nice to throw the box across the kitchen with a flourish They do make me constipated so bowels have been ok this week But will restart next week - just having a break.

torres · 16/07/2007 12:56

Hello all,

Congrats Angua!

Glad to hear things are going well my1stbaby, have fingers crossed for you.

Sorry AF turned up Ellie- my AF turned up on Friday too. Grr!

hello ladylush, jess and downbutnotout- sorry to see you here but hope your stay will be brief. I had a mmc back in Feb and am still struggling with TTc and the emotions it brings.

Hi mrsmc- I'm a bit down in the dumps I'm afraid

Well today is my birthday! Actually having a bit of an odd day. Took the morning off to spend at home with DH and to recover from our weekend of wet camping. Have just arrived at work, my boss is being an arse and made me cry (I am so fed up of crying!). Don't think my tiredness and hormones are helping plus I am stressing about tomorrow's appointment with the doctor. Am actually considering going home now before I do something silly like swear at my boss or resign!

ladylush · 16/07/2007 13:01

Torres, sorry to hear of your mmc and that you're down - esp on your birthday. Going home early might be a good idea. Try and enjoy the rest of the day and do something nice

torres · 16/07/2007 13:22

Hi ladylush, thanks for your message. I am finding work hard- they are not very understanding and think I should have 'recovered' months ago. The bosses love leaving sarcastic notes which just make me want to scream 'I don't f*ing care, all I want is a baby'. I'm hoping the doctor tomorrow will give me advice on how to deal with things before I get sacked!

Dh has organised a slap up meal somewhere tonight so will try and focus on that.

ladylush · 16/07/2007 13:29

Yes, enjoy the meal with dh. Did you take time off work after the m/c? I didn't take much off with the previous two and it hit me hard when I got pg this time. I actually felt depressed. So this time I decided to take two weeks off.

Weasleybug · 16/07/2007 13:37

Jess - glad you found your way over here - we all know what its like so feel free to moan and have somewhere to vent.

Hi Ladylush - hang in there - cheesy hugs coming your way.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORRES !! Hope you manage to enjoy it. Mine was on Saturday so we're almost birthday twins. Birthdays are a bit hard though aren't they - sort of another milestone. I DID have a lovely day and felt really happy (that may have been the champagne) but slightly tinged with sadness as last year on my birthday I had not long found out I was pg - our wedding anniversary next weekend which was a couple of days before I m/c last year.

Congrats Winky and Angua !!

Glad to see all is still going well MrsMc.

Aude75 · 16/07/2007 13:41

Happy birthday Torres and sorry to hear you are feeling so down I do hope your lovely meal with DH cheers you up a bit tonight.

I feel a bit down today too as I should have been 12 weeks yesterday and was due to have my nuchal scan this morning. I also just learnt at the weekend that another of my close friends is 11 weeks pregnant, so I now know two people who are due to give birth roughly a week after I was due myself. It's going to be tough to see them all expending when I am back to TTC.
Being at work is actually helping me take my mind off that a little bit but Torres, I know what you mean when you say you feel like saying "I don't care about any of this boring s**t, I just want a baby!!!".
I do feel very messed up too as I was actually pleased to get a BFN this morning, means my hormone levels have finally dropped after my ERPC two weeks ago.

MrsMcJnr, many congratulations on your scan, are you still going for your dating scan this Friday too? I thought they might be able to do the dating bit from the nuchal scan too?

ladylush · 16/07/2007 14:34

Thanks for the cheesy hugs weasley Same to you. Aude my nuchal was due in two days time so I know how you feel. Had my erpc last weds so hope hcg negative soon. Bloating is going slowly.

ladylush · 16/07/2007 14:34

Oh and happy belated bday for sat weasly

Aude75 · 16/07/2007 14:44

I am sorry you are going through this too Ladylush. I think I was quite lucky and didn't get much bloating, was just conscious of my tummy and got some cramping for about 6 days. Bleeding pretty much tailed off after 3 days too.
Was really paranoid that I might get an infection but it was 2 weeks ago today and so far I am fine so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it stays like this.
Are you planning on waiting one AF before TTC again? That was my plan but I got a positive on an OPK 9 days later (last Wednesday) so decided to try anyway. Not holding much hope but we'll see.

flosspot · 16/07/2007 14:47

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TORRES- sorry you are having sucky time at work. Maybe GP could sign you off for a week for stress/grief and then you'd have a bonus holiday and some breathing space from work. (((birthday hugs)))

Jess- welcome, and so sorry you are here. Know what you mean about being frustrated. We've all been there.

Ladylush- glad to hear you are taking such a positive approach. It's hard. I have to confess to not taking folic acid for a cuple of weeks because there didn't seem any point. Must get back on that horse.....

MrsMcJ- glad to hear all is well. Having a low period, but af still not here, so theres' still hope despite BFN. I think.

Everyone- happy Monday, if you can call it that. Double checked my dates and may have been out by a week. No sign of af yet, so will wait a few more days then test again. Who knows?

ladylush · 16/07/2007 14:49

Yes was planning to wait for one even though dr said I just wait for two. Good luck for this cycle.

ladylush · 16/07/2007 14:49

Meant should wait two.

Aude75 · 16/07/2007 14:58

Good luck Flosspot!!!!!!!! really hope you get that BFP in a few days. keep us posted!

I just can't believe how much I am wishing time away. Never before have I been so desperate for summer to over. It's very bad

MrsMcJnr · 16/07/2007 14:59

Sorry my1stbaby ? crossed with you before. So glad all is going well the milestones are so important as they give you hope Great that the bleeding has stopped, it must be such a relief. Hang in there

Torres ? I?m sorry you are feeling low, on your birthday too. Hope the day gets much happier and that you have a lovely time tonight. I?ll get that book ready for you and send it off tomorrow fancy a couple of sachets of pre-seed too? ? belated birthday pressie! Maybe you need to take some time off hon, I found that about 8 weeks after my MC I was so run down and I took a week off ? thank god, it must have made all the difference. Will be thinking about you tomorrow.

Weasleybug ? happy belated birthday to you too!

Aude75 ? sending huge hugs to you. Watching friends who are pg does get easier hon, I had 9 pg friends when I lost mine, most are popping around now and whilst I admit being pg again does really help, I also think time made a lot of difference. Damn right we are still having the dating scan we paid privately for the nuchal as they don?t do them on the NHS here so whilst we do know our EDD from that we are still going to have the NHS scan this Friday ? the more times we get to see Beanie the better!

I?ve just had the results of the nuchal actually and I am over the moon we are low risk for Down?s ? 1:7851 and the risk of Edwards or Patels (sp!) is 1;20,000 ? such a lovely relief.

Aude75 · 16/07/2007 15:09

Fantastic news MrsMC, so, so, so pleased for you!!!!!! And I do know what you mean about seeing the LO as often as possible. Will be thinking of you on Friday!

ladylush · 16/07/2007 15:13

Excellent news Mrs McJ

herbaceous · 16/07/2007 15:23

Good stuff Mrs Mac.

I've just had some moderately good news, too. I got the results of my FSH levels test this morning, and it is a mere 5, which is very good! It means I've got lots of eggs left, especially for such an old bag as myself (41), and while they can't accurately measure the quality, at least I stand a good chance of getting pregnant again. I'll just have to hope the egg this time isn't duff.

ladylush · 16/07/2007 15:24

Great news herbaceous
