EllieG · 13/07/2007 21:47

Hum think I spoke to soon about AF think feels like is coming now oh poo. Well, as somebody said once, it ain't over til the fat lady arrives, so I will carry on hoping (slightly desperate and obsessive emoticon )

WinkyGirl · 14/07/2007 13:25

Hi everyone. Thanks very much for your congratulations. I am feeling reasonably calm apart from when going to the loo when I worry about finding blood.

I am hanging around if that is ok?

EllieG and Angua hoping that AF stays away.

MrsMc so pleased you had a positive scan!

Hello everyone else

siameez · 14/07/2007 14:16

I hate this time of month. Hate it hate it hate it. I'm 3 or 4 days post-ov and convinced my boobs are bigger or at least tingling in a pg kind of way and I've stupidly gone and bought new bras so have no idea whether a) boobs actually feel different or b) it's just the bras that feel different or c) I'm completely imagining it as I do every month!!

I think somebody here said something about feeling a real emotional low 4 months post mc and I think you may be right (sorry can't remember who!). I can excuse my body the first 3 months and I can accept that I'm grieving but by 4 surely it should be getting on with it? All the OPKs I've ever bought say couples take an 'average' of 3 months to conceive using OPKs which is one of those nasty statistics I wish I could forget because now if it takes us more than 3 months I'll be convinced there's something horribly wrong!

I think also, after 4 months of this I'm just so BORED with it! I'm BORED with ttc and BORED of thinking about pregnancy all the time. I wish I was 27 and could decide to shelve the whole thing for a year and go off and be a human rights observer on the West Bank or something and get life in perspective (not sure what I'd do with DS but there you go...)

Sorry this is a real me me me post. Good luck and hugs to all of you and GRRRR to the rest of the world

siameez · 14/07/2007 14:19

Oh, and Winky, do stay!! You and MrsMcJnr give us all hope

AnguaVonUberwald · 14/07/2007 16:55

well!!! had a very small thin positive last night, checked again this morning, (three times) and its a BFP!!

OMG, nearly started crying once I realised it was real

Congratulations to Winkygirl too, we can be terrified together.

Siameze and EllieG, best of luck.

Flosspot any news?

Rainbowdays · 14/07/2007 20:56

Postive thinking for you and Winkygirl.

MrsMcJnr · 14/07/2007 22:12

Congratulations Angua! you?ve given me goose bumps ? I don?t think you ever forget how you feel when you see the line mine this time was at 4am and poor DH got it stuck in his face along with a shrieking wife ? deep breaths and hang in there, you?ll be fine

Winky ? sorry to admit it but I still knicker check absolutely every time I go to the loo for blood ? I just can?t help it

Siameez hon, I do feel for you and hope that soon things will change

Ellie ? praying she stays away hon x

downbutnotout · 14/07/2007 22:57

Hello - sorry to butt into your thread, but I'm hoping maybe you ladies can help me. I had a beautiful daughter in 2004 but have had three miscarriages since (two this year). My sister has told me about the Foresight pre-conception programme - has anyone tried this, is it worth bothering with?

MrsMcJnr · 14/07/2007 23:10

downbutnotout - I'm sorry for your losses hon and that I can't help with your question but I wish you lots of luck TTC and hope that one of the others can assist you

downbutnotout · 15/07/2007 00:04

Thanks, Mrs! I would say: "Well, worse things happen at sea" etc etc, but that would be a big fat lie because, frankly, it sucks to be me right now. BUT I refuse to be a victim and I definitely refuse to give up hope. My friend's mother had EIGHT miscarriages before she had her - I'm not going down without a fight.

So like I say, down but quite definitely not out!

flosspot · 15/07/2007 10:40

Congratulations Angua I am so thrilled for you. That certainly makes my bloody BFN a little more bearable. Rub your soon-to-be-bump for me!!!

Sorry you are here downbutnotout. Afraid I know nothing about foresight, but am confident someone will.

Siameez- hope things are a little brighter. If not come and join my pity party!!!

MrsMcJ- good news about beanie.

Everyone else- hope things are OK. Keeping all bits crossed for you.

ladylush · 15/07/2007 12:32

Hello all. Had my 3rd m/c (this one was a missed m/c so had an ERPC on wednesday)and am waiting for my body to get back to normal so that I can try again. I must be insane.

AnguaVonUberwald · 15/07/2007 13:59

flosspot, so sorry, fingers and everything crossed for you, for next time.

mrsmcjnr Mine was also at four in the morning, DP got me shoving the results in his face!! Somehow didn't really belive it though till I tested again in the afternoon and that one was positive too!!!!!!!!!!

downbutnotout · 15/07/2007 18:22

ladylush - if you're insane you're in great company - best of luck and keep on keeping on!

Sorry mrsmcjnr forgot to say congratulations!

ladylush · 16/07/2007 00:24

That's ok then. Nothing worse than being sane in a room full of insane people (I should know, I do it for a living). Ok then everyone, how soon is it safe to leave if before ttc after an ERPC? Told to wait for 2 periods before trying but I don't see why I should. Was thinking of trying again after the next period. It's all very well waiting but conception might not happen straight away and before you know it another year has passed

ladylush · 16/07/2007 00:24

Meant leave it not if

flosspot · 16/07/2007 08:51

Ladylush- forgive ignorance-0 what is ERPC? Have to say that I was told to wait until first af post-mc before trying again. Totally ignored advice. BFN so a waste of time, but felt more 'in control' than just waiting.

EllieG · 16/07/2007 09:25

Hello all!
AF came on friday but I am OK. I sulked for a little bit but then was suprisingly chilled about it.
How's everyone else this morning?

EllieG · 16/07/2007 09:26

Oh just read back - congratulations angua! That's wonderful news x
