I've gone right off jiggy-jig too, so it's a relief to know I'm not the only one. I enjoy it once I get going, but never get the urge to pounce. I've tried to convince DP it's not him, but I'm sure it's hurting his feelings.

I hope it comes back...

alittlebitshy · 11/07/2007 17:37

I am still here. I check in every day so forget that you can't see my presence!!!! we should have a tick box system to let everuone know we're lurking! lol.

Wow winky!!! congrats!!!!

too much to catch up on sorry

still trying to decide if we will start ttc as soon as next af. probably cos i am fed up and either want to be properly pg agin or else be getitng help! grr.

lots of wobbles when i see pg women and babies

Not sure if all is ok (er hum) "down there" after the last m/c. If you remember (no reason why you should though) i never got seen - no scan or anything, so am only assuming all is ok. Thing is i have had a lot of cm or something lately. It may be excessive ewcm and the stuff preceding it, but i'm worried that something isn't right, and that I have an infection or something. Not going to gp though. If af not here when i think it whould be (it would be due when we're away if my normal cycle happens which it may not - last time after m/c it was shorter) i'll go the gp then. if it comes, it must mean all ok, yes?? argh!!!

gilly so so so sorry not have acknowledged your brilliant writing about counselling. it was v v helpful and i am still digesting it.
My counsellor is back (after my 9 day break - argh). seen her twice, seeing her briefly on fri then we have a 17 day gap with her being away, then me, then her going again before i get back. aaarrrgggghhhh.

kensgirl · 11/07/2007 17:39

Wow, too much happening for me to catch up!

Winky that's wonderful. Keeping everything crossed over here for you!

What a fabulous and crazy number of messages!! Won't pretend to try to say hello to everyone individually but a special welcome to everyone new.

And yes! I'm in London and would love to eat cake . Usually free Weds afternoons and Fridays if that helps start the ball rolling on picking a day? Could there be an overlap between daytime folks and working folks if we met late afternoon or something like that?

There's something slightly sad about planning for August already. I remember lurking back in April and hearing about the cake-meet and thinking 'would be lovely to hook up with people but of course I'll probably be pregnant by then and won't be reading the thread anymore...' If only (no offence to everyone here, you're all wonderful but you know what i mean!)

alittlebitshy · 11/07/2007 19:07

ooooh cake!!! it's getting closer to August!!!!!!

kensgirl · 11/07/2007 19:22

Awwww! I want to eat cake...stamps feet but Manchester is too far away.

One of you is just going to have to eat my share....

flosspot · 12/07/2007 07:37

Cake? London??? CAN I COME TOO?? [smiles big sile in effort to get people to invite her]

Littlebit- also got silly amount of stuff down there. Don't know if normal or not as doesn't seem to have helped. BFN today. Gutted.

Oh, and congratulations Winkygirl thrilled, thrilled, thrilled, for you!!!!

EllieG · 12/07/2007 09:00

How sad is this - DP suggested a spot of nookie last night, and I almost couldn't be bothered cos not right time of the month for getting preggers. That's terrible isn't it? I did, but tbh was very tired and all a bit of an effort.

ZamMummy · 12/07/2007 10:41

Well, what do I do here in Zambia apart from MN?? I'm here on posting with DH's job (overseas devel/technical assistance), am SAHM to DS (1) and occasional student (working towards 2nd degree (psychology), now planning to retrain as primary/early years teacher as can't work here in old career (quantity surveyor!). Been here since 2004 and should be here for another 2years, maybe more. It's lovely, but very quiet. DH & I both homesick right now, esp for family & friends.
Plus it's a total baby factory as there is not much else for expat ladies to do IYKWIM.... (and you can get plenty of help!) which is great as a mum but not so good after m/c and ttc.
It's cold here this time of year, though generally sunny - am looking forward to 3wk hols in London/Worcs in a fortnight (tho it will probably be still raining by then). MrsMc Well done for liking nshima! I think it's revolting stuff (like polenta only white & totally dull) but DS adores it.....shovels in great handfuls for lunch every day.
Would love to meet some of you in RL soon - can anyone do 1st week of Aug?

MrsMcJnr · 12/07/2007 11:15

Hang in there EllieG know what you mean about sex at the wrong time ? it?s almost a case of ?what for??

Popsy ? have you discovered acessdiagnostics.com? it is like a sweetie shop for those TTC! all things are much more reasonable on there than in Boots. Go on, have a spree!

Herby ? it will hon give yourself time.

Hey alittlebitshy hon if the CM isn?t itchy or bad smelling, I shouldn?t be an infection but it you are at all concerned, please see someone, it may set you back if you don?t. x

Kensgirl ? go girl

Jules it?s all part of the roller coaster of being pg after a MC hon, all normal hang in there, take each day as it comes it is a life and I?m hoping and praying that it will remain that way

Hello Siameez ? I?m just a hanger on but wanted to wish you all the best

Zammummy ? ex pat life hey

Ladies had my nuchal this morning, won?t know the results until next week but for me the very best bit was seeing beanie (aka skeletor) again ? he/she is the perfect size, has a beating heart and madly waving legs and arms with little hands and was very curious about us watching it (until photo time when he/she got shy and turned it?s back on us ) it made me well up, it was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen

EllieG · 12/07/2007 11:23

Lovely lovely news MrsMc! I'm so glad beanie is a wriggler

duvetwoman · 12/07/2007 12:00

hi girls, i suffered a m/c just over 2 weeks ago. When i fell pregnant we did the deed everyday between day 14 and day 17 of my cycle. We want to try again straight away but have no idea when i will be ovulating? When did you all ovulate after a m/c and when did you have first period after m/c? Anyone get pregnant straightaway? Sorry for all the questions

ronshar · 12/07/2007 14:49

Crikey I popped on to say hello and it has used up all my time reading the gossip! No time to post as school run time See you later!!!

EllieG · 12/07/2007 15:01

Sorry to hear you have to be here duvetwoman x

Not sure about when I OV'd - I was advised to wait a cycle before trying again, but I know other people have been told differently. They said after that to crack on though as PG hormones still high and means easier (in theory) to get PG again

torres · 12/07/2007 16:19

So sorry about your mc duvetwoman. My AF took about 6 weeks to return if that's any help. Not sure when I ov'd though

Hi ellie- any sign of pesky AF yet?

MrsMc- fab fab fab news- really happy. It must have been a wonderful moment for you xx

siameez · 12/07/2007 17:23

Hi duvetwoman and so sorry you have to be here. I got AF exactly 4 weeks after miscarriage so presumably OV'd about the time you're at now! I tried to figure out when OV was by temping but that was all over the place and I'd imagine OPKs are unreliable too. Possibly simply no way of knowing but I guess if you start BD-ing every 2-3 days from now you're bound to hit the fertile window! Hope you're feeling up to it and good luck

EllieG · 13/07/2007 08:27

Torres - no, no AF yet! Now am obsessively symptom-spotting though is not really late yet. Have PROMISED self will not test again til mon if AF doesn't turn up. Fingers crossed ladies....
(Am getting too exicited - going to feel really stupid if AF turns up today )

ronshar · 13/07/2007 10:09

Well done Winky. Fabulous news for you and dh.
To all the newcomers to our little club, I would like to say please dont try again to soon as it really adds to you feelings of inadequacy, I had to look that up in dictionary!!.
some people are really very very lucky and fall on their next cycle but the majority do not , as this thread can bear witness to. You slowly start going crazy and start behaving in increasingly erratic ways, eg spending £50 on pregnancy tests because obviously the more you test the more likely it is going to be a bfp!
I am most certainly not telling you not to try obviously that is your choice. I am trying to save you some of the very real pain that we have all been suffering each month when af turns up again.

alittlebitshy · 13/07/2007 10:25

nicely said Ronshar - i wanted tp say the same but was worried i'd say it too insensitively!

00h ellie!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 13/07/2007 10:28

Thanks Ellie how are you doing? I have really good vibes for you hon what CD are you now?

Sorry about your loss Duvetwoman I read that in terms of your cycle, you treat the 1st day of the MC as the 1st day of AF and therefore, depending on how far along you were and how high the pg hormones are in your body, it is possible to OV again 2 weeks later. Things can get a little odd after a MC though. I was 10 weeks when I had mine in March. The 1st cycle afterwards was 40 odd days long (I?m a regular 28 day girl) and I?m not convinced I Ovd that cycle. The next cycle was back to normal and we conceived the beanie I am now carrying there have been some ladies I know who get pg again before AF arrives and they seem to be doing fine. It depends on your own circumstances though and how it all happens, some people are advised to wait a cycle, others 3 and some are given the green light immediately like we were ? that was because ours was a complete MC and there was no intervention at all. Everything crossed for you. What Ronshar says is very true ? you think that a new pg will take away all the pain, it doesn?t its still there plus added emotions that are hard to understand about the new baby. Hope body and mind repair in sync and you get that happy moment soon.

Hello Ronshar and Siameze and alittlebitshy

Thanks Torres ? you ok hon?

EllieG · 13/07/2007 10:50

On CD 27 - last 2 months cycles have been 24 days long. 'Usually' are 28 pretty regular. So not officially late yet. I bet it will come today and then I will feel very very silly.

Agree with you ronshar - but is difficult to put into practice

MrsMcJnr · 13/07/2007 11:04

hang in there - got a good feeling x

ronshar · 13/07/2007 11:11

Yes Ellie it is. I was considering withdrawing from the whole motherhood thing, but realise that my 2 dds would probably have something to say about it!
What I would like is for somebody to be able to tell me
1 When I will feel better about the whole thing.
2 When exactly I need to get dirty with dh and conceive.
3 Send me free test sticks because I am going to have to go back to work again if this keeps up1
Any one any ideas? please!

MrsMcJnr · 13/07/2007 11:42
  1. soon hon
  2. as much as you can!
