Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

So this is where you all are

I have been SOOOO busy lately, which is really good as I have no time to sit and ponder all the symptoms.

How's everyone doing? This thread has moved so quick and I can't possibly keep up with you all. If there has been any exciting BFP news someone let me know

Not sure about the little bump Mistlethrush - my mum is a size 8 and I was 9lbs 8oz. She was like the backend of bus according to her!
So I might well be the same. She did tell me that she was back in her jeans three weeks after I was born though so I'm clinging on to that and hoping I'm that lucky!
I think with the excercise you have to give ds to dh and say 'I'm off for a swim/walk/whatever - you take him!' That's what dads are for afterall!

Does anyone else have an opionion on the flying thing? Quite worried about it now cause I can't bear the thought o letting dh down when he hardly ever sees his family.

Poor WP - hope you feel better soon. Keeping thinking of the bambino - that will keep you going.

Hi Ready and Nomore, what's new with you two?

That's ok treenie, I was only winding you up!
I'm so-so, actually feeling a bit down today. Had my day 21 blood test today although the nurse wasn't very gentle with me (physically or emotionally) then I went to work and my boss had a go at me but I finished at 1 so have been at home being a domestic goddess this afternoon. Think I attacked the bathroom with a bit of extra oomph as a result, so not all bad!!
Re flying - I think it's 3rd trimester the airlines don't want you to fly, but I think it's more to do with avoiding you going into labour mid-air! You could always have a look at the website of the airline you are flying with.
How's everyone else? It was very quiet on here last night, was there something good on tv that I missed?

Report
Treenie · 21/06/2007 19:00

Why are people so ruddy insensitive nomore? Do they never have problems or issues or wish the world would treat them a wee bit better? I'm a great on for doing unto others what you want yourself iyswim?
I mean your boss can be let off for being a wanker, but nurses should blooming well know better.
We at least your loo is sparkling! I take such pleasure from these things so I totally get the fun of being a domestic goddess.
I am still freaking out about flying but have called the airline and they say 36 weeks with docs note to say all is cool.
It's not so much the 'will they let me on the plane' I'm worried about as the travelling. Have no idea what it's like to be 30 weeks pregnant so don't know how shit I will feel. And who wants to be stuck in a foreign country if they feel terrible. I think this is a 'wait and see' situation so I'm trying not to get my knickers in a twist.
By the way, not sure I understand what the blood tests do/are for? Sounds like a pain though. You need a cupa and a hug from dh - always does the trick for me.

The blood tests are step 1 of the infertility testing, they take bloods on day 1 and day 21 to compare hormones (progesterone, FSH and LH) and check you're ov'ing. They also look for things like thyroid and I'm being checked for anaemia too as I have been anaemic in the past.
Can't comment as to how you'll feel at 30+ weeks pg (and expect it's different for each person) but didn't you say you're going to see family? Surely they'll look after you?

Feel a bit of a fraud now - nurse wasn't that bad, she was just a bit abrupt with me, didn't make 'small talk' and was just a bit short. The first nurse I saw (3 weeks ago) was friendly, chatty and kind. This lady was much more business like. When I asked her about the results she just said "oh in a week" so I said "ok, next Thurs then" and she said "or even later" Does she not realise I'm quite keen to KNOW? Harumph!Sorry I'm being a bit self-indulgent at the moment.

WP - I've not given up drinking, I did for a bit but it was just more depressing (oh, I sound like an alkie!) I don't drink to excess anyway, I just have 2 or 3 glasses of wine every now and then. I know there are guidelines for during pg, but I'll stop when I know I'm pg. Baby doesn't share your blood stream til after 4 weeks anyway (that's when you should get BFP)

Report
welshprincess · 21/06/2007 22:31

im not with it, whats bfp? i also plan to give up when actually pg. im trying to enjoy it while i can, not an alkie either, just like a glass of vino once in a while.esp when dh out and got the night to myself.x

Good evening all

How much have a missed I must log on more often, this week has been so stressful. But it looks positive, it looks like we might have a fight but we should be covered by insurance and our bride has her dress. There are some horrible people out there but we are dertermined to start again.

Treenie - I love yoga and pilates and it is great for the pelvic floor.
My friend is flying in her first trimester and I believe it makes your morning sickness worse, I'll ask her if she knows about flying later in your pregnancy. I know they allowed another friend of mine to fly from Spain to here and she was late into her pregnancy.

Nomore - I hope you are feeling better after your dealings with the nurse.

Hello to everyone else, I cannot keep up with the thread sometimes. Oh by the way welcome to Welshprincess.

I am on CD8 so I am about to commence alot of BD I've told my DH to warm up he's on in five - he did not seem to be that impressed as the football is on!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who saw make me a baby last night on bbc 3?
Was really good I thought though I knew most of the stuff already. what ai didn't know is that saliva kills sperm?!
I knew normal lub did but not that! What a pest!
Must say some of the people mad me want to scream at the telly 'you stupid idiots no wonder you're not conceiving if you smoke 20 a day!' Some people are mad eh?
Now on CD 18 and expecting to ov in a couple of days so bding like mad!
Have decided not to worry about the flying - thanks for all your advice. Also asked the preggy thread and they were great too.

Wp am not drinking at all at the mo - had a big one on Saturday at a wedding and decided that was the last of it till bambio arrives.
Not really a big drinker anyway. Dh has also cut right back to about 5 units a week. According to the sperm expert on that show last night you'd have to be an alchy before it would really damage your sperm but we're not taking any chances - say the neurotic looney!
Just want to be on the safe side. But the probs is that when I go out now I know everyone is going to think I am preggers.
DH says to tell them I am training for a triathalon, which is what he has been saying - but he really is doing that so makes it easier to get away with. Will need to look one up on the internet so I have a date and location ready if anyone asks which one I'm doing!

Anyway, what's new with all of you today?
x

ps WP - BFP is big fat positive - mean on your preggy test

treenie- i think you are right, best not to drink at the mo. i was worrying about people guessing when i dont drink so my cunning plan is to always have people around to ours, and get my dh to make my drinks as in ' gin and tonic' and actually just give me tonic. all i well here today, in work seeing babies all day. making me v broody.

Oh have such a lovely time! Everything crossed for you toomuch! By the time you get back I'll know one way or the other - if my calculations are right I should be able to do a test two weeks today - one of the eary first repsonse ones. Would love us to get our BFP at the same time and then we could go through all this together. Here's hoping!
Plan to bd like mad over the weekend! Or do you think we should just do it once a day? save his sperm up? Think I ov on Mon or Tues.
What does everyone think?

Thanks Treenie xx

I reckon BD as much as you feel like it! If you fancy it more than twice a day just go for it! If not I'm sure once a day will be sufficient

p.s. love the fact that we're sooo convinced that we may get pregnant this month - we're sooo excitable!

Hope you all have a lovely 2 weeks!! Wishing BFPs to everyone!

Don't forget me.. I hope you're all still here when I come back.

I love being postitive Toomuch though I must say (very suddenly) all I can think about is ttc and babies!
Have done no work today and have loads to do! Am freelance so if I don't work I don't earn any dosh to pay for my designer maternity jeans and I just can't let that happen can I?!
Is anyone else finding they are consumed by this? I'm sure you must be. All I have done all day is read every bloomin babycentre type website that is written in English!
Help! Going mad!
