hi ladies from the old TTC thread, time to start a new one you think? Its gone way past 500!

Right.go on then, a little bit of magic is fun!

am off to Glasto this weds, and aparantly its good luck to run around the stone circle 3 times.

I'm doing it once for myself and some of my TTC buddies, but if you fancy a little of the glasto luck your way... pop your name here!

(its only a bit of fun!)

7 months, but I still believe it will happen and want to try all the natural ways before all the other stuff.

Plus I opened my own business last year which have increased my stress levels so that has not helped.

I have to keep believing it will happen.

Remain positive BB - you seem to have a really good attitude - trying all the natural things like diet - which can only do you good! I'm sure it will happen soon for you! [fingers crossed]

I'm very jealous of you setting up your own business- it's something I've always wanted to do! How are you finding it?

Its really tough, it can be rewarding but its times like these when you feel like giving up.

I say do it as long as you really have a passion for whatever it is you choose to do. I was in Marketing from leaving Uni and I was fed up with the blame culture etc So after a bottle of Pinot to give us the courage and 18 months of planning we opened the shop. But you find alot of people think we are just silly girls playing with dresses, they don't see all the other stuff.

Im off to bath the dog now so I may go quiet but he absolutely stinks and bathing him is a task and a half. He is a staffie and I treat him like a little child sometimes.

BB - glad to hear the dress is sorted for the weekend - the dress shop where my sister got her dress from had the sample of her dress's bolero jacket stolen and they said it would take forever to get another one as shop samples are lowest prority. It seems such a shame as sis's dress was beautiful but the bolero really made it, glad your customer is sorted though. (hope that makes sense, I tend to do that stream-of-conciousnes(sp?) typing!)
Agree with being healthy, but don't really go for detoxing etc, I believe in a healthy diet and exercise with a little of what you fancy too!

Im wetter than the dog!!! but at least he smells better

I am a true believer in the 80/20 rule to life - Im good 80% of the time and a little naughty for 20%.

Someone has said that reflexology is good for getting PG - has anyone heard this? There is a lady in Sheffield called the baby maker because apparently alot of her clients get PG after a reflexology massage

nomoremagnolia · 18/06/2007 19:47

Have heard mixed reports on reflexology and know people are told to avoid it when going through ivf. I tried it years ago (before ttc) but it did nothing for me. Have heard great things about acupuncture though...

Love the 80/20 idea!! I may make that my new motto!!

Report
Treenie · 18/06/2007 21:24

BB so funny that you should say the 80/20 thing - that's always been how I have thought. Great minds think alike eh?!
I apply it to just about everything. Like my obbsession with organic food. I can control what I eat in my own home so it will always be 100% organic - but I can't ask friends to do that when I go to their's for dinner or let it stop me going to certain restaurants. So I reckon as long as what I'm eating 80% of the time is organic that's OK.
Finding it very hard not to just get on with the TTC this month! DH husband just came home from work and we really had to stop ourselves - OK too much info right?! He is so keen but we really want to give it one more month cause if it did happen straight away I'd be flying long haul at Christmas when I'd be 30 weeks and I'd rather be 25w. Chickens hatching everywhere in the treenie household!
He's gone for a run now because he's doing a triathalon soon. And here I am back on MN - addict that I am! Am getting no work done these days cause if I'm not posting I'm reading the preggy threads for info and tips!

And did anyone else just watch mad May try to steal Dawn's baby on Eastenders?! don't know whether it's because I am currently baby obbsessed, but my heart was beating out my chest and I was practically shouting 'run Dawn run!' How mad is that?!
Please tell me I'm not the only one who loves Easties!

Have never been on pill properly (3 months for my wedding) so not sure what it does to your cycle but I wouldn't presume you have a 28 day cycle straight away. Mine's about 25/6 days.

I would BD anyway if doing it in a tent does it for you.

toomuchtimeonline · 19/06/2007 10:57

Have fun Fi!! - BD anyway - you never know all the excitement of running around and pink wigs may have caused you to ovulate late

I can imagine that CD2 is probably not that exciting usually - it's just it's my first of my first month of trying so I'm being a bit overexcitable

Hello All,
at you going to Glasto fifilou!!!! Grrrrr I hate working in a school sometimes, can get no extra time off for fun things like that. I am a total cynic about religious/spiritual things but you might as well run a few laps for me while you're there !!! Please feel free to leave me out if you have fallen over in in a daze by then though.

Had my blood test yesterday but won't know anything for a few weeks, doc was lovely though so feeling good.

Hi babybratt! Do you know the name of the reflexologist in Sheffield? Thats where I live so would be really useful.
Thanks x

Hi Fifi

I hope I haven't missed you, could you do abit of running for me too.

Been TTC my first for the last 8 months, and don't seem to be getting anywhere

Report
mistlethrush · 19/06/2007 17:01

FI - can you do some running for me too?

I know its not for #1 and that I really shouldn't be on this thread, but have fingers crossed for all of you and want to keep up with how everyone's doing! And its probably about 12mths since we stopped 'actively' preventing after ds, so could do with some extra luck.

Have fun, but remember to keep the noise down!

Pink Martini - what happened with the moving thing? Have you decided what to do? Hope you saw the post I left you before we moved over here.

Also I think I mentioned this earlier on somewhere but thought it might be worth saying it again. An auryvadic herb called Shativari was recomended to me by a herbalist because it is meant to be very good for boosting fertility. Haven't taken any yet so can't speak from experience but thought it might be something to think about. Meant to help regulate cycles etc. If anyone is interested you can google it.

Hi treenie, yes I did see it thanks - should have replied. I am really trying not to obsess over everything atm. TTC, moving, my rather fat tummy which does NOT have a baby in it.

Work is busy atm which is usually good and dh is very very busy. We've got a hol coming up so will discuss a bit more then - hopefully (as well as getting some rest so that dh has got the energy to bd!).

You're right Pink Martini. Sometimes there are just too many things to think about aren't there? Go and have a lovely hols and when you come back you will hopefully be preggers and everything else will fall into place.
I've worked out that I'll be ov when we go on hols to france at the end of july so hoping we'll get lucky there. Will need to give it a fab French name - or is that a bit Posh and Becks?! I actually love the name Brooke for a girl.
Anyway, bring on the hols and the bambinos!

Hi Gracie - sorry you're feeling down, hope you find some support here.
PM - 59 posts in one day - we do talk rather a lot don't we? Glad (?) to hear you're busy, I find that the best way to not think about ttc. Know what you mean about having bit of a belly but no baby - aren't you just looking forward to the day you can secretly smile to yourself cause you know your little tiny baby's growing in there and you can say I'm not fat I'm pregnant! (I am!)

Report
nomoremagnolia · 19/06/2007 19:06

Treenie - I think it's lovely to have a 'reason' behind your kids names, but don't think it has to be where baby was conceived if it doesn't 'fit'. 'Back seat of the car' is not a good name! (nor is 'tent at glasto', fi!!)
