After all that desert sand, we are in serious need of slightly damper place...

This one is a hamam, complete with essential oils and thick Turkish towelling bath sheets. Mosaics on the floors, marble pools. You get the picture. It still needs some decorating though.

We have had a few graduates (OK, quite a few), which is good, but time to dust off the old Hut for those of us who are still barren.

Can I join you on this one. My Business Partner, yes the rightous cow I told you about with her opinion on why I am not pg yet!! She is suffering MS and she cannot stop talking about it and moaning about how tired she is. She tells me everyweek what her baby is developing eyes, ears etc. Only the other day she text me to say her and bump were going to bed to do some developing!!! she tells me because her DH is not that interested apparently.

Why me!!!! she has two sisters, who are not ttc. I would love to be tired and MS, it is such a gift to be pregnant and all she can do is moan about the effects. She even offered for me to hear the heart beat, I did mention to her that I was struggling with the fact she was pregnant even though I was pleased I was very envious but this has not stopped her. AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Duchesse I love the thread, it is good to know that everyone has the same irritations

lissie · 05/07/2007 21:02

do you want us to go round there? honestly, why do people think that if you want a baby you want to hear about their pgs in technicolour. my mum tells me all about the women in my hometown who are pg and how they're "suffering".

Impatience · 05/07/2007 21:20

BabyBratt, apparantly I have the subtelty of a punch in the nose when I am displeased with someone, so go ahead and give me this stupid woman's phone number

Or you could have the pleasure yourself and tell her to F off. She appears to be very thick-skinned, and if she does get offended you could always blame your ftc hormones

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:36

Morning everyone - I too agree totally how thick skinned or just plain stupid!!!! People drop into conversation all the time how so and so is expecting isn't that lovely. oh but she sooo tired and has swollen ankles!! GOD ! I like everyone else on here would love to have swollen ankles and bags!!

Just wanted to say to Lissie and Rainbowdays that I feel so very much for you both. We have ttc for 3 years. I got caught in Jan 06 but m/c after a precious 5 weeks and 6 days -it still feels a bit surreal even now. Take time to recover as much as you can. Don't push things and get all those emotions out!

Life is so very cruel sometimes. I was getting excited this week as my cycle runs between 28/30 days without fail. I was due on 2/7, so today would make me 6 days late. Started to convince myself that at last this might be our time but it was not to be! Bloody AF arrived this morning. Can't belive it - Gutted, feeling quite down. I know i will be fine tomorrow but its like a kick in the teeth every month isn't it?!

xxx

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:38

That was supposed to say 'how thick skinned or just plain stupid people are!'

Am posting at work and keep having to click off as my bosses keep coming into the room! Feel like I'm at school!!

xx

Nelli32 · 06/07/2007 08:40

What is wrong with me - just shows you my head is all over the place today! I was due on the 1st not the 2nd - can't add up now!

I need to go home and its only 8:45am

Hope all is well with everyone

duchesse · 06/07/2007 08:57

"kick in the teeth every month" just about covers it, Nelli. Yup.

Ready - so glad you posted that, I was thinking the same. Have been biting my tounge (or should that be fingers?) to avoid posting "well if you've had unprotected sex and AF is late and there's a faint line then yes you are bloody pg" Sometimes feel like saying "well wait 8 months and if a baby pops out of you then it was a BFP"
Was actually composing this kind of post whilst in the shower this morning and was going to post it in here (I swear you're my psychic twin or something!)

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 09:52

im joining in here too, ladies. i would gladly spend the next 9 months in bed, puking and everything all day long!

lissie · 06/07/2007 10:17

just done my ritual post mc/period HPT and for a minute it looked like a BFP was going to pop up. never thought i'd be so relieved to see a bfn. still at least i dont have piles/ms/swelling/backache like all those poor pg ladies

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 10:21

how are you doing?

lissie · 06/07/2007 10:24

not too good tbh. my counsellor wants me to go back onto my ADs

mslucy · 06/07/2007 10:32

hello ladies.
I'm still barren too, after over a year of trying for no 2.

Having acupuncture - which I like as it calms me down and the acupuncturist has become more like a therapist!

I wanted to ask the hut about this.

I had a very nasty birth and a caesarian and according to acupuncture lady, I have a lot of scar tissue.

She thinks I am becoming pregnant (something to do with pulse), which I think maybe true as I have felt things and then the embryo is failing to implant because my tubes have too much scar tissue on them, from the bloody caesarian.

If I hadn't had it I would have carked it because ds was a whopper, so I'm not sorry, but could this be a factor and if my tubes are scarred is there anything they can do about it?

lissie · 06/07/2007 10:46

what your acupuncturist is referring to are adhesions, very common after a cs. i have the same problem. you should see your gp (have you been referred to a specialist yet?) and tell them that you would like some tests. a laproscpy is prob the best way to diagnose tho. you should speak to attilathemeercat, shes fab when it comes to things like this

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 10:53

don't you want to do AD's again?

i have been on them before twice, and tbh, i know i will be again at some point.

no-one can tell you are taking them, and if they make you feel better, then thats a good thing, right? pleased you are going counselling, btw. i have tried it before, but he kept blaming stuff on my dad when it wasn't, iyswim, so i stopped.

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 10:56

i keep getting a lump coming up on my boob, near my right nipple. its really sore and ive had it for about 5 days now. it keeps coming, and then going again...its raised up all red and its horrible, but small. i don't wanna go docs, but my friend says i should....

mslucy · 06/07/2007 10:58

yes I have been referred to the Whittington Hospital in North London, which has sorted out a lot of my barren friends!

Am going to demand a scan when I go there on 16th July.

Also DH's sperm count a bit low, but he's given up fags - doing amazingly well - and has said he'll stop boozing if the doc tells him to.

Think the scar might be an issue as we conceived ds 1 after 6 months (and I had a mc as well) so I know that it's unlikely to be hormonal.

My periods are normal but I am old - nearly 37, so that is an issue.

Just bored of being barren and want someone to wave a magic wand!

lissie · 06/07/2007 10:58

you should prob get it checked out....

im just disappointed about the ADs managed to stay off them since feb and feel like a big crappy failure.

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 11:01

it is not you being a failure.....its because they help you. they help loads of people! you will be off them fully when the times right-you have had so much happen to you since feb-is it 1 or 2 mcs since then thats a lot for someone to take, dont be hard on yourself.

and i dont care who i get my fanjo out to; ive never shown a doc my boobs!

mslucy · 06/07/2007 11:01

scorpio - get your boob checked out!
prob nothing but it's surely better to know.

lissie - you are not a failure.
Everyone I know has taken ADs, and ferchrissakes you've just had a m/c.

I didn't take one after mine, but I bloody should have done as I was completely MENTAL.

1Wish · 06/07/2007 11:05

Hi everyone, can i join please, please, please???

I've had enough. I don't want a baby.....but i so so do, this lark is killing me

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 11:06

1wish

i know, i know. soemtimes i feel like packing it in.

my af due in about 5 days and i just know im gonna be messing around with tampons etc again before i know it....

1wish-how long till your next af?

1Wish · 06/07/2007 11:13

Thanks scorpio i honestly don't know, i'm on cd16 (1st cycle of clomid) but cycles can be anything from 26 days to 50, average about 42.
And i don't think the clomid is working so af could be a long way off yet. I did 5 opks yesterday, I mean wtf??

And scorpio don't worry about af (easy to say i know) but i have a positive feeling about you this month. Not that i've been stalking you or owt

scorpio1 · 06/07/2007 11:15

well, the longest i havent had sex for this month is 1 day, so i will be so peed if BFN! thanks for the positive thought, i didnt realise you had been stalking me

i hope the clomid does well for you, iyswim. my cycles are about 42 days, too feels forever!
