August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

Your situation sounds a lot like mine. Im 32 and my OH and I are also "not preventing", in the hope id just casually fall on.

On Cycle 4 now and started trying in earnest this month. Sadly, I've found it utterly demoralising- I've used both BBT tracking and OPKs and I've reached CD27 with no indication that I've ovulated at all.

I'm almost looking forward to AF arriving so I can put this month behind me, although I'm not sure how to approach next month.

But I'm due on in the next 3 days? @NoseringGirl it wasn't stretchy and I had loads of long stretchy ewcm 2 weeks ago today. It was like the consistency of the jelly cubes so firm but wobbly.

That does sound demoralising but perhaps you're having an odd month, did you get any EWCM? Maybe try a different brand of OPK next month as I've heard people getting vastly different results between brands, causing unnecessary stress. Fingers crossed for you x

My cm is like cream now. Day three of knicker watch! I wish I could tell my DH but I can't say anything. Just want FP to come so I can start Clomid and have a better month

Hi ladies, feeling annoyed it’s ov day today and my DH drank too much and fell asleep last night 🙄 I’m on CD 16 and we have DTD CD 10, 12, 13, 14 so hopefully I’ll still be in with a chance. May try again tonight if I can stop being annoyed at him x

Took a test this morning.. 11/12 dpo.
It was a BFN!
I still feel bad. Have cramps that feel different from AF. But I'm just waiting for the next few days for her to show.

@Sbhf1987 I took a cheapie Clear & Simple test.. (Only thing @ the pharmacy)
I'm a bit disappointed, I just want AF to hurry.

I guess there's still a chance, but I wont take another test unless my period is 1week late.. My 1st BFN ever, I wasn't ready!

With all of our fertility tests, scans, bloods, HSG, medication included.
We're hitting 3k 😣

It's £950 per IUI but they do a 3 pack for £1900
Then all the other tests soon add up.

I'm lucky enough to live near a private hospital with The London Women's Clinic in it. But have to travel to Harley street in London for the insemination.
I'm sure there are other companies that do it. Worth shopping around xx

@Wishful30 would they do it without the scans, bloods, etc?

My consultant has a private clinic and has already had us both through the bloods, SA, hycosy, multiple appts and now Clomid. Would that count?

@ImpatientMammy my periods are more bearable since having DS too, still painful but less so!

I'm going mad. My fertile week doesn't even start until end of next week and I've already bought 2 FRERs and 2 CB digital tests in preparation for when I start POAS 🙈

I don't see why you can't give them a copy of the results. No point in doing the same tests twice.
They asked me to have a smear test as it was due in a couple of months, and a chlamydia test too. So I had it done at my gp and got them to print it off.
It's amazing how fast things happen when you go private!

I'm on my first full assisted IUI or whatever they call it.
Had one natural IUI and started clomid last cycle but without IUI due to being overly stressed.
Bought the 3package so have one shot left next month if this doesn't work 😑

Finally on CD22 5 days later than last month, I’ve got my blazing positive opk! Only thing that’s confusing me is my temp was right down today, so does that mean today is O day? Or would it still be tomorrow? I’ve attached opks and bbt chart for reference! Hope you’re all well!

@ImpatientMammy going to test again in about 3 days.

I was looking at my period tracker and realised it was all set to the default 28 day cycle. My cycles aren't regular, anywhere from 29 days to about 35. So when I changed the cycle length to 31 I saw that it moved my ovulation day and I've possibly not DTD on the right days any more :/ might have been too early.

And it does now mean my period might not be due until next Friday time, so my test yesterday was definitely too early if that's the case.

Boobs incredibly sore, also really achey first thing in the morning. Hoping this is a good sign.

@ununpentium have you been testing for ovulation? I have a 31 day cycle (well usually this month will be longer due to O late!) and even on the apps they were saying I’d ovulate on CD16 and the earliest I’ve ovulated is CD17 and latest CD22 and I definitely wouldn’t have worked that out without taking opks and my bbt! It’s funny how our bodies work xx
