Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

@Hofty, me! I also get nausea which is a bit annoying because in the tww I won't be able to tell the difference between pre-AF nausea and pregnancy nausea 🤨

Hofty · 01/08/2018 17:30

@rollerskaterdata I’ve never had heartburn as a PMS symptom before, at least not badly enough that I’ve noticed it if you know what I mean. I’ve had it quite badly for the last few days, but I’m only 7dpo. I think I’m just symptom spotting to be honest. I’m driving myself mad!!

rollerskaterdata · 01/08/2018 17:52

@Hofty I had terrible heartburn with my son so you never know, let's believe it's a pregnancy symptom!

Lubilu28 · 01/08/2018 17:59

I’ve caved and ordered some tests off ebay!! Should be here by Saturday so I’m gonna start testing then! They were only cheap so at least I can feel satisfied with doing it and not spending a fortune on FRER!!

Is nausea a normal af symptom?? I’ve never had this before and I was hoping it was going to be a good sign lol x

Hofty · 01/08/2018 18:06

@rollerskaterdata when did the heartburn start with your son?

@Lubilu28 it can be, but I think it’s more commonly associated pregnancy.

Hofty · 01/08/2018 18:07

*with pregnancy, obviously Hmm

chocolateaddicted · 01/08/2018 18:07

@Hofty I get nauseous, Heartburn, fainting spells, food aversions, feeding aversion, headaches, cramps, increases sense of smell and swollen breasts all the way up to FP. It's only when I get the extras of nosebleeds, violent sickness and apnea that I know I'm pregnant. But anything abnormal for you is a good sign. I think the years of ttc teach us the signs.

Hofty · 01/08/2018 18:08

@chocolateaddicted interesting, thank you! Smile the range of AF symptoms different women get is so broad.

NoseringGirl · 01/08/2018 18:29

Hello @rollerskaterdata I also remember you from the waiting threads, great to see you here! I still stalk that thread Blush

mussie · 01/08/2018 18:31

Hey @Hofty ☺️ sorry I thought I'd said hello already, clearly didn't 🤦🏼‍♀️ I never get heartburn, so can't help you on that one.

@rollerskaterdata I really thought I'd be one to test early because I thought I'd want to know as soon as possible. But last cycle, the first that I was TTC, I wasn't actually that fussed. I figured I could get a positive before AF was due, but that wouldn't calm me down because I'd still panic that AF would come on time anyway. And then if the test was negative, I knew that I would just tell myself it was too early and a false negative, until AF showed 😂 so didn't want to waste the FRER for a result that wouldn't change anything. Long story short, I think I'll test on the 27th itself - I would wait until the 28th to make sure AF definitely hasn't arrived, but we have plans that night and I'll want to have a free evening to celebrate/commiserate 😂

Llanali · 01/08/2018 18:36

Hello!!!!

I had to step back for a while, after a miscarriage caused some serious physical health issues.

So, I’m back. And my cycle has been long and weird since the MC, between 32 and 41 days. So for the first time I have done clear blue dual digital OPKs and BBT.

I had eight days flashing face, and did some cheapie OPKs in the late afternoons. On the 30th at 8pm I thought my cheapie OPK was nearly positive.... we had DTD on the 29th.

On the 31st I got a peak static smilie face in the morning, and DTD that night (last night (the 31st)).

Have we done it right?? I don’t know! The peak face is still on my clear blue today, as it should be, but I can’t DTD tonight!

ANy advice please. Here’s my chart..:.

@Hofty I totally agree. I'm here driving myself crazy symptom spotting and comparing it to others..
I haven't experienced nausea ... but I have fatigue and can sleep most of the day away.
I've been full of gas but I'm eating alot Confused
Was developing a cold, but didn't get it.. I get breast tenderness a few hours per day and my lower back hurts for most of the day..
I'm about 9/10 dpo, haven't done any tests.
Trying hard to convince myself that I didn't feel cramping (implantation pain) the other day... Blush Blush

Hofty · 01/08/2018 18:43

@TaeLovexD very similar symptoms here! Minus implantation pain, I’m 7dpo, but actually I have had very very mild cramps.. oh god! Another symptom to obsess over! Grin I’m getting on my nerves, and I’ve been popping Rennie’s like sweeties, but anyway, fingers crossed for BFPs all round.

MrsC87 · 01/08/2018 19:41

This is our first cycle of TTC and I am on CD11. I just wondered for those who use OPK's what cycle day do you usually ovulate on?

Hofty · 01/08/2018 19:52

@MrsC87 I had a positive OPK on day 17 this month, I’m pretty sure I ovulated on day 18. First cycle too Smile

MrsC87 · 01/08/2018 20:03

And how long are your cycles normally @Hofty? It's expensive buying the OPK's but I have done just so I know when my body ovulates. With it being my first cycle ttc I really have no clue when I will ovulate .

Hofty · 01/08/2018 20:05

They vary, but they are always between 30-38 days. I bought mine from Savers, they were 99p for 5. You can buy them on eBay and Amazon for even cheaper though.

rollerskaterdata · 01/08/2018 20:40

@Hofty, I can't remember exactly but I seem to remember it being fairly early on. It got worse as my son grew and I got so big it felt like my stomach was in my throat 😁 lol

@NoseringGirl, hi! 🙂 great to see another graduate on here! I still stalk that thread too, I can't bear to say goodbye to all those lovely ladies!

@mussie, I know exactly what you mean. I know if I tested early I would be wondering if it would stick and would still hold my breath until my AF due date came and went so absolute earliest I will be testing will be AF due date. I say this now though...I'm sure I'll get twitchy fingers from 9dpo and won't be able to fight the urge to poas 😂

LumosNox · 01/08/2018 21:11

I really need to check in more often - 7 new pages! Shock

Just popping in to wish everyone a good week! One of my best friends is getting married on Friday, so DH and I are away tomorrow until Saturday.

Then my AF is due on 8th August, so I'm looking forward to getting started with TTC after that! Well, that's as long as AF behaves herself... Hmm

Fingers crossed for everybody that August is your month! Grin

Giraffe888 · 02/08/2018 07:47

Hello and fingers crossed to the new joiners!

I had a positive opk last weds (25th). AF is due next Thursday (9th). I’m going to try and not test, but if I was going to then when should I do it?

MuddyElephant · 02/08/2018 08:49

Giraffe888 I'd say wait as late as you can to test! Am due AF the same day! Let's keep each other sane 😁

Giraffe888 · 02/08/2018 08:54

@muddyelephant great a cycle buddy! I’m going to try and not test at all! X

Smileyface32 · 02/08/2018 08:59

I’d recommend waiting until AF is due. I was so tempted to test early the other day and I’m glad I didn’t. My AF arrived yesterday bang on time! I was a little disappointed and started to think if I’ve left it too late at age 32, only time will tell.
As my cycle is is 28 days I’ll stay on the August bus and keep my fingers crossed for everyone 😊

em254 · 02/08/2018 09:25

Hi Ladies! Can I jump on this bus? TTC#2 and second cycle trying. Not holding out much hope this month as only managed to dtd 4 days before ovulation as OH away with work. Currently 7/8 DPO, AF due on he 7th August. POAS yesterday with an expected BFN but I just couldn’t stop myself!!Blush

Hoping for any kind of symptoms but so far absolutely symptom free!
