August bus

Thought I'd start this one. This is my first bus and would love to chat with other's TTC in August.

Stats:
Age: 26
TTC number: 1!
Cycle: 1st officially TTC, although was a chance last cycle
CD: 6 of 27-29 day cycle
BFP/AF due: 2nd Augst

I'm trying to really prepare my body as much as possible for pregnancy. Trying to lose some weight and strengthen my core and back as I've got crap core and lower back muscles which worry me a bit in terms of pregnancy

@chocolateaddicted I think their 6 days early claim is based on people with a longer luteal phase. So if they normally have a 16 day LP then at 6 days early they'll be 10DPO and it's not uncommon for a FRER to detect hcg at that point. It really depends on when implantation happens though.

Thanks guys! Do you think I’m nuts for worrying such a strong line at 11dpo means twins or is it really unlikely? My cousin is currently pregnant with twins and I’m having a panic!

@Bellafreud no way of knowing till the scan I don't know if a strong line means anything to be honest. I would love to have twins but that's a personal thing and my next one will probs be my last x

@chocolateaddicted I think @NoseringGirl is right, it totally depends on when you implanted. I think its around 1-2 days from implantation that FR is sensitive enough to pick up, so don't be disheartened if you don't get a positive at 6 DPO. I didn't get mine until 12DPO on a FR

@Bellafreud it probably means early implantation to build it up. But surely multiples would be the absolute dream. When you're struggling so long to have a baby it's amazing to think you might get two or three. We start Clomid next cycle and that increases our chances more for multiples so I'm hoping for that.

@jess21690 congrats. Today will be 6dpo IF I ovulated on day 14. My CBAD didn't work though and just showed high from day one so who knows what's happening. I only have 25 day cycles so probably will never need to do a pregnancy tests.

Cd22 and just had some pink spotting. Ovia says test in 6 days so I ordered some frers from amazon that came this evening. Not sure whether to wait and see or have a go tomorrow morning 🤷‍♀️

Congrats to the mummas getting positives! I’m not in the TWW yet, thought I had a possible positive ovulation yesterday at CD16 but it wasn’t quite the same colour as the control line, kept testing and it got lighter :( still nearly there today at CD17 but not quite! Temp right down this morning too! I had a positive opk on CD18 last month and getting some cramping so hoping to get my positive tomorrow! If I do I’ll be 10dpo on my hen do, wondering if I should take a test then just to check if I can drink or would that be too early? I’m not a big drinker anyway so if I test and it’s negative and have a couple of glasses of wine it shouldn’t do any harm at that stage right? Decisions decisions! I would loveeeee to get my bfp this month and tell hubby on our wedding day but I’ll be 2 weeks late by that point and don’t think I could wait that long if I did get a positive! Either way I’d looove some baby dust this month!
@jess21690 what your describing with your breasts is totally normal, it’s due to increased blood flow in pregnancy, from implantation onwards your blood flow slowly increases to 50% higher than normal, so you’ll probably notice you’re more flushed, breasts more tender, and veiny. As long as it’s not a noticeable lump I truly wouldn’t be worried, and congrats!!

Congratulations @bellafreud and @jess21690! With Dc2 I had a blazing bfp 4 days before AF, not even slightly faint. Just the one tho!

I’m soooo annoyed, I’m fertile week cursed! Last month dh was hospitalised during Fw, month before he had a sickness bug. This month all my apps had me down for ovulating on Thursday (been tracking about 18months - usually pretty accurate), which was brilliant as I was away from dh this weekend fri-sun so still gave us a few days to get some dtd in! However I did an opk today and it’s bloody positive 😡 so instead of having 3 more days I’ve bloody missed most of the window again!!!

@EverythingNow you still have plenty of time, BD today and tomorrow and you’ll be fine!

@everythingnow you’re in the same situation as me. We only DTD on OV day but who knows x

It's not a lump as such more that the tissue just feels different/lumpier in that particular section! The doctor I saw today was a very handsome young man and I panicked and could not bring myself to ask him to feel my boob. If its still bothering me I'll make an appointment with a female doctor later in the week!

@EverythingNow I was also away from my DH Thursday - Sunday and got a positive OPK yesterday! We've managed to DTD Sunday night and a couple of times yesterday so hopefully got it covered! You've got around 12-36 hours between positive OPK and ovulation and then another 12 hours after ovulation in which the egg survives.

Thanks @MidwifeMummy161, @Giraffe888 and @NoseringGirl. Fingers crossed eh? Realistically I know it only takes the one, dc3 was a one hit wonder but after a year of usually Dtd 3x in the window and no success I wanted to increase the chances.

@EverythingNow I've got a 10 day LP so probably around 11th August.

How is everyone? From feeling optimistic at the beginning of my cycle, I'm now not feeling so great. Physically feeling rubbish, headache and bloated for the last couple of days. Not due until at least next Sunday but could be next Tuesday. Distracting myself has not happened, dh has had to work a few extra shifts so that's not helped, I'm not motivated to do anything.

Hi *VenusStarr we are in the same boat. AF due mon/Tuesday. I don't want to test unless I'm late but I may cave on the weekend. Ovia says I can test from friday. Let's get through this together!

Thanks @veeboo, fingers crossed for us both! I've got a busy week training from tomorrow and a wedding on the weekend which I'm determined to enjoy :) we're staying over in a hotel too which will be nice.

I just have a question and sorry if this sounds stupid but how do you tell how many dpo you are? Does ovulation occur for just one day, or is it from the first day it happens? I'm using an app and it has 6 'green days' for ovulation, so do I count it from the first one?

So exciting that there’s already two BFPs! Huge congratulations! I haven’t been on here for a while as I felt I was getting a bit obsessed and I’m only on cycle 1. I’m 12 DPO today, period or BFP due on Friday but will try not to test until Sunday if period hasn’t arrived. It’s so hard not to test already though!

@kettleonplease ovulation is only one day, your app is giving you a number of days as the days leading up to and after ovulation as fertile period as sperm can hang around for up to 5 days. So technically you could have sex 5 days before you ovulate and still become pregnant, but obviously the closer to ovulation the better.

I've posted in conception already but has anyone here heard of the full fat milk thing. My FS has suggested it but I am vegan so need to know it's a worthwhile thing.

I tested today at 6dpo and BFN obviously, but I’ve made myself disappointed now. Someone tell me not to be so ridiculous please!

Implantation at its earliest is 8dpo and up to af arriving. So you deffo will not get a bfp yet 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Hofty what fertility monitoring are you doing? My FC requires me to do tests on certain days.
