Advice on negative pg tests?

Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment!

Yes do it... it’s handy to know when your body is at its most fertile and having a second line can also mean pregnant obviously :) xx

Kate123cl yeah thats true, might be worth booking one now, regardless whether AF turns up or not as 17 days late is quite a long time!! Theres definitely got to be something going on!

Friday is the idea anyway.... I'll probably test before cause I want to know whats going on with my body!!! 2-3 day light 'withdrawal bleed' and what seems to be a faint positive test....! So confusing xx

@mai5x how do you go about getting tested? My GP is rubbish and just won't refer me! She said I'd have to miss 3 cycles for them to worry! Xxx

Kate123cl - luckily the doctor I saw was amazing and sent me for tests straight away, I think a massive factor of mine was acne, which she could clearly see was a problem! They then sent me for blood tests and a scan of my ovaries and confirmed when the blood tests came back! Might be worth pushing them with it! xx

@mai5x I think I might do that! My acne is pretty bad too! My GP has always advised me that it's probably because I'm young! But it seems to be getting worse I think I might definitely push it! Xx

Kate123cl How old are you? I'm pretty young too but the doctor said it was a massive indication of PCOS! So that's why she put me through for the tests xx

Kate123cl - I'm 22, was diagnosed last year so try and push them and they should get you tested! xx

@mai5x ah I see! I'm scared because it usually means struggle to conceive! xx

Kate123cl I think it just depends how bad you have it. Are you periods usually regular? Have you had any sign of it yet, you're nearly 20 days late aren't you?! xx

@mai5x they're usually regular! 28 days, maximum 32! Yep, 18 days late today!! Have other symptoms as in, weight gain, acne! Xx

Kate123cl How weird.... Hopefully not PCOS then but you still wanna know whats going on!

@mai5x hopefully! I did a fr on Tuesday morning and it was negative! I went to the doctors on Monday and she was pretty useless! Said it may still be too early to show on tests as some people just take longer! A load of rubbish she fed just to get rid of me lol! Xx

Hi ladies
Just read the thread and wondered if I can join please? I'm now late too, was due 19th/20th (my last cycle was 29 days) but had what looks like a BFN this morning with a FRES. I spent ages starting trying to find something, but think I just ended up with line eye.
No sign of AF, no real cramping or my usual mood swings. Just a warm boob?!
I did ovulate late on the 9th & 10th according clear blue, but I thought something would show or happen by now!

@Rose2887 I bet it is!! I'm excited for you! I'm ok, I haven't retested since as tests are so bloody expensive! Haha xx

Hi @Pudding01 of course you can! The 20th of this month? Is your af usually regular? It's so annoying isn't it!?
