Advice on negative pg tests?

Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment!

@purpleRH Thank you!! I'm feeling so excited yet so nervous! Lol. It's really hard to believe as the line is so faint! I'm gonna test again tomorrow morning (not today) just to be sure!! xx

@BuntyII it's so faint it hardly shows on camera! When I'm home from work I'll try and post a pic!

I’ve not yet tested woke up this morning boobs really sore and so was my bladder, went for a wee and it was cloudy and smelt 😐 so took a urine sample to drs and apparently it’s been sent to lab so guessing I have uti or something....
boobs really sore today but everyone keeps telling me it’s the pill withdrawal not sure what to believe!!
Anyway I bought some ovulation tests from Poundland and done one earlier and I wasn’t ovulating!!! Not sure whether to test with my cheaply amazon but they aren’t sensitive so not sure if it’s worth it!!!! Xxx

Well that sounds hopeful! It's all so confusing isn't it are you testing daily?? How many days past AF are you now? I tested with the blue dye ones from Tesco's and they've been the clearest ones so far despite what everyone says about blue dye lol! Xx

@Kate123cl aaw why aren’t you convinced? I’ve been off the pill a month but wasn’t really taking it the month before, as we’d both agreed to start trying!!! I keep getting this strong cramps but no af and the withdrawal bleed I had was about a month ago and lasted about 2 days and my period before that was the end of feb 🙈
Maybe I’ll get one of those Tesco ones.. have you tried the frer ones??? They say pink dye is more accurate?
I’m not testing every day... but thought these ovulation things may help as if I’m not ovulating why do I have constant cramps... but no positive tests

Ah ok I see, very similar position as me then! Almost exact same timings! I haven't tried the FRER ones but the boots one I took was pink dye but my line is only showing on blue dyes?! It's all a bit strange! and yes that is strange re cramps etc! I think these home tests are rubbish and maybe you are?! I will try and get a picture accurate enough when I get home from work! Xxx

I wonder if a uti is an early sign of pregnancy? I’ve got a pink dye one but waiting to use it.... need to stop testing as will go crazy lol. The weirdest part is dtd at least 3 times a week so have no record of when I could of gotten pregnant...

Another strange thing I keep feeling my womb tighten up... and it feels harder than usual!!!! God I’m confused, where’s af or where the positive hpt!!!!! 😂😂😂

@Rose2887 I think it is a sign! Something to do with pressure etc. I've deffo read it somewhere before! I think sometimes not knowing when to expect things is better as you don't feel pressure to have every date down to a tee!

I know what you mean about womb tightening! Have you had many symptoms? I had a weird thing the other day when the skin around my left hip and belly went completely numb lol! Xxx

I’ve had symptoms, sore (.) (.) and cramps, I’ve been feeling strange, obv no af, and those contraction feelings, I’ve been feeling super tired last couple of days but is prob the UTI!!! Need to get this urine test back... but I’m going to have to tell dr I’m trying already as not sure I can take antibiotics if I am pregnant 🙈

@Rose2887 oh wow!! Ok, quite a few symptoms then, sounds positive! amazing, deffo tell the doctor you're trying! Imo, the antibiotics for UTIs rarely work anyway! Lol xxx

@Kate123cl have you retested? I’m wondering whether I should but have a feeling my body maybe tricking me into thinking I’m pregnant lol and I’m too scared
I’m not sure when af should def be here so I’m all over the place... is it possible to test before af and get a positive? If so how early?

I know what you mean! It is possible, I've read it on a few threads before but not sure which tests are best! I think the first response ones can show positive 6 days before missed AF not sure how reliable that is though! I'm trying to work out how to send personal messages on here but it's proving difficult lol! Xxx

@Rose2887 thank you!! wow let me know what it comes back as!! I feel hopeful for you if it is negative it could still be too early! So maybe testing I a week is a good idea do you have any children already or would this be your first time trying? Xxx

@Kate123cl still negative anyway yes I have a dd already from a previous relationship, she’s 9, but I was 21 so it happened so much easier for me then... it seems harder work now and thinking about it too much isn’t good for the body!!! No af still though and all these symptoms but guess waiting a week is the next step! Xxx

@Rose2887 possibly still too early! Aw okay would you say it happens easier when you're younger? I'm only 20 this year! Yep, same with me, still no AF driving me nuts!! Xxx

Well it’s different for the individual but I think when I was 20 it was easier for me, fell pregnant within the first month...
this time round it seems to be different although it’s a different partner... and he does smoke
I think it’s down to us stressing ourselves out it doesn’t happen... need to stop trying and enjoy lots of last night we were going to dtd and he was shattered from work and I was worried having this uti.. but now worrying we aren’t having it enough.. although only done it Wednesday evening so still a chance
Just called to get results of uti and still not back making me worry!!!!
I have a lot going on as saving for a deposit on our dream house etc... but want this to all work out too!
Kate, are you living in the UK?

@Rose2887 Ah that's interesting!!I think stress is definitely a massive factor!! that's the thing though isn't it when working you just don't feel up to it and ready for bed by 7 lol! I know what you mean, UTIs have definitely got to be the worst thing! That's strange re the results though as they're usually back pretty fast! probably nothing to worry about though.

Yes, took me a week to get a positive. However I probably ovulated later than I thought.

Yet again have hit a slump.... feeling shattered and drained but no reason to feel like this
So no af and no bfp.... I’m at a cross roads 😂

@Alyosha hi problem is I don’t know when I would of ovulated as only had a withdrawal bleed no actual period since end of feb
