Advice on negative pg tests?

Hey! Just looking for some experience! Has anyone actually been pregnant and took a while to show positive on a hpt? I have a few symptoms and in general feel like I could be! My AF would've been due between last Thursday and yesterday but took a hpt last Wednesday and yesterday and both show negative :( I'm using Superdrug's cheap make. I'm NEVER late for AF so feeling positive. Almost every post I've read seems that everyone tests positive before their AF is due so feeling a bit disappointed at the moment!

@Kate123cl headaches to begin with, period type pains, some more painful than period, then before the test some white cm in my underwear, shooting pains in boobs, at the minute I feel a little spaced out and slightly off things but the cramps have gone, thankfully!! I honestly think you are pregnant but ovulated late like me... mines still super early! Xxx

@Rose2887 have most of those symptoms! How are you feeling now that you know you are, I bet you're nervous but very excited! I hope that is the case for me!xxx

@kate123cl that’s mad, I’ve heard some people get pregnant and don’t have a positive test.. the dr should of offered you a blood test!!! What are you going to do next?
Another thing... ulcers, and they are taking ages to go!!!!! Xx

I’m feeling excited but super nervous... I’ll feel more excited when I am over the dreaded few week wait incase something happens!! Then can buy things :) xx

@Rose2887 I've heard that too! My mums tests showed negative when she was, in fact, pregnant with me! yes, the doctors in my area are awful! Ah interesting! I haven't had any ulcers! The wait must always be nerve racking but it's more likely to be fine than not!! Xxx

Ladies I've had all of these symptoms! Sickness, headache, Ulcers!

Rose how long did it take you to get your BFP? As your on the pill aren't you?x

@mai5x no I’m not on the pill but only came off in March... we don’t know exact dates but I would be due now for af! Have you retested?

@Rose2887 Hey Hun! I'm ok, feeling refreshed as the sun is gleaming! Lol. Hasn't tested again today I think I'll just leave it a couple of days as I seem to get nothing on my tests lol! Have you tested again today? Be interesting to see how dark your line is now! Xxx

@mai5x how late are you for af Hun? Mine is around 17 days late! Lol xx

Rose2887 - No I haven't retested yet! Bit too scared tbh haha, I think I'll wait a day or two more just to make sure it's accurate!

Kate123cl - I was about 2 weeks late, had a really light bleed with the tiniest bit of red blood, mostly brown and then got that result on the FRER. Only reason I took another test was because I was sick at a lunch out with DP and his mum xx

Kate123cl it's so frustrating! I just want to know whats going on but fed up with thinking I can see lines on tests, it's making me go crazy haha! xx

@mai5x I honestly know the feeling! It's so rubbish! Plus, even worse when you don't actually know when you're ovulation because of no af so don't know when to try! Ahh! Xxx

Kate123cl I know, and I can't bring myself to spend £10 on a test every time and not being able to see a clear line haha, think that's why I'm waiting!!!

@Kate123cl I know, decent test prices are ridiculous!! I only came off of the pill in February/ early March so haven't really been trying but I guess it starts now lol! You? Xxx

Kate123cl They are haha! What pill were you on? I'm still on the pill! Last month was the worst for taking it though, I had a lot of sickness and a weekend away where I forgot them!!!! I haven't been on it for long, I've got PCOS so they put me on this to help with all the symptoms!

When are you next going to test?! xx

@mai5x I think it was called Gederal! I had to change my pill a few times before I could find one that didn't make me sick/ moody haha so I definitely know what you mean!
Ah that's interesting, I do wonder whether I have PCOS do you have any children already? Planning to re test in a few days if still no AF! How about you? Xx

Kate123cl I've never heard of that one! I'm sure it's my pill that was making me sick, which is silly cause then it doesn't do anything cause it doesn't stay in your system haha!!

It's definitely worth getting tested for it if you think you have it! No I don't, do you? Yeah I think I'll retest on Friday probably.... as there was a faint line on my last FRER I don't think it would be much darker now, so I'd rather wait! xx

Hey girls.. was going to do another test to see if it’s got darker but I don’t have any!!! I did have an ovulation stick from Poundland though and thought it would be interesting to see what happens.... and there’s two lines... so obviously picks up some of the pregnancy hormones... very odd though as some people may think they are ovulating when they are pregnant!!! Xxx

@mai5x exactly, pills are a nightmare!!
I think I will try and get tested. If I'm not pregnant, it's the only other likely thing I think it could be! No I don't have any children yet either. I think good idea waiting for Friday!xxx

Wow @Rose2887 how weird is that!! I wouldn't expect it to pick anything up lol at least you can stop buying tests now as it's definite!xxx

@Kate123cl it is definite, but still doesn’t feel real!! Have you tried ovulation sticks? Worth getting from Poundland!!!! Xx
