Hi Ladies, thought I would just grab the bull by the proverbial horns and get this going. Hope the name is okay. MrsMc I am afraid we will all be thinking of you and your DH (and his light saber) everytime we post

Too many individual posts to go back and answer so I thought I'd start with a positive message for all of us from the March thread and for any MC newbies...

Today is my 1 month MN anniversary and I do not know what I would have done without you all. It is the ability to get on here and "let it all out" that keeps me going. I have been blessed to have found you all and whatever lies in my future - your kindness and advice will stay with me forever.

Big Love and Hip hip hooray for a fabulous new positive thread POPSY xxxx

p.s. Gilly get your arse down to london - we can drink the bars dry of Rose (purely medicinal of course )

Hi everyone. So many messages since I last posted.

EllieG: have you started a chart? I find them really useful, but a bit addictive too. I'm always looking at mine for patterns but you can make them mean anything and everything (just like all the twinges and tweaks after ovulation).

Littlebit: I'm sorry about DH being a bit cagey. I hope you can work it out or just go for it, don't talk too much about it being about TTC and hope for the best. A BFP is sure to wipe away any doubts. That's what I'm 'trying' to do.

Popsy: I am so impressed by Diesel jeans. I can just about get into my old Levi's, but I need to get back into that pool. GP told me to put on a bit of weight after I lost quite a lot last year. Not because I'm too thin (could never be accused of that), but because if I get pregnant I will probably get really sick like last time when I lost nearly 2 stone. She thinks I should put some reserve fat on and I'm afraid I've taken her advice to heart a bit too much

Torres: good luck with the beds. I have to say I hate being in a single bed with DH, but that's mainly because he snores and there's no room for escape in a little bed.

Mrsmac and Wheely: good luck: it's a heard time isn't it? AF for me is 2 days late so I am on day 16 of Lutel phase which has never happened to me before. But having period pains and know cycle is all over the place after m/c so not too hopeful. TBH it would be a relief just to get AF after m/c and get a bit back to normal. But still very, very bloated: can't wait for that to lift. Will not test until Saturday if no AF by then.

patkica · 10/05/2007 10:33

OMG: messages crossed. Mrsmac congratulations. That is wonderful news. You will be nervous of course, but be excited too. It's just fabulous. I'm so happy for you. Don't leave us just yet. Big hugs to you.

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 10:37

oh wow ! Congrats MrsMcJnr.... try to relax (ha ha).

Just going out now - had a thought that I 'scan and pack' in waitrose so actually don't have to see anyone (unless anyone I know sees me taking it off the shelf which would mortify me too ) but think waitrose only do predictor tests which I don't think are particularly sensitive. Does anyone know of a website ( I have seen one before but can't find it) that lists senstivities in case I have a choice ?

Oh god. Am setting myself up for BIG disappointment now. Am an idiot.

becklespeckle · 10/05/2007 10:51

MrsMcJnr! Yay!!! Had a feeling about you! Fingers crossed this one will be fine, push for your appts with GP and come and join us on the pg after m/c thread when you feel brave enough!
Wheely, good luck with your testing hun.
More good news (so far - touch wood) for me, had my early scan yesterday and saw tiny little tadpole with tiny little heartbeat! Looks like all is well so far and am 7 weeks today!

WinkyGirl · 10/05/2007 11:05

Hi I've been lurking for awhile. Am now CD20 and have had some spotting today. I also had spotting with my miscarried baby but not with DD. Trying not to get hopes up that am pregnant...

But more importantly had to post a big congrats to MrsMc!!!! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Hello everyone else!

Had to laugh at everyone's embarrassment over buying tests. I've been there! Although nothing is as bad as when I had fibroids and had to buy the biggest inco pads you can find. Oh the shame.

EllieG · 10/05/2007 11:08

Thank you. I am full of knowledge now so will get cracking.

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 12:18

Thank you so much you are all so sweet to me spoke to GP and she was a bit frosty at first but said she'd contact haematologist and call me back. I'll feel much better after I've spoken/seen consultant I think

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 13:01

Confirmation that I am an idiot - BFN on a first response so no telling me it might be too early.

herbaceous · 10/05/2007 13:07

Hello all. Thanks for all your good wishes and helpful advice. I'm going to take the bull by the proverbials and phone the hospital direct today.

And congrats to Mrs Mc! I am putting out bunting - can you see it from where you are?

I've now got some spotting. What on earth is going on. CD20, though feel a bit Aunt Floey.

Maybe we should have a London meet up of all us mads. Lots of rose and symptom spotting.

patkica · 10/05/2007 13:07

Wheely: good for you for trying. MrcMac had a positive before her negative so don't give up hope.

MrsMac: I can't stop thinking of you. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person. Am very excited for you.

I really can spell in RL.

lissielou · 10/05/2007 13:47

ooh congrats and good luck mrsmcj, wheely im sorry hun!

EllieG · 10/05/2007 13:51

How soon do you get symptoms after being PG? I feel a bit sicky and tired but I think I might just have a tummy bug.

alittlebitshy · 10/05/2007 14:23

OMG mrsmc!!! woohoo!!! I had a good feeling for you and it was right!!! so so happy for you!!!!!!
hope you get the dr stuff sorted! look forward to hearing about the pregnancy as it progreses!!

beckle - great news re scan!!!!

that's it for now - just popped in before i go get dd but couldn;t go without saying those things!!!!!!

missnatalie · 10/05/2007 15:45

Yay !! CONGRATULATIONS mrsmcjnr. So happy for you hun. You give me hope

MrsMcJnr · 10/05/2007 15:52

Oh Wheely BUT AF is late and 26% of BFPs only show after 14dpo ? I?m still keeping everything crossed for you.

Ah, thanks Herby let us know how you get on with the hospital, don?t take no for an answer!! When I need to be forceful, I write out a script and keep repeating it

Patkica ? thanks confused, positive before negative? Had 2 BFNs and then a small positive (ASP!) Maybe that 2 stone extra I am carrying about will get used up during the pregnancy, let?s hope!

Thanks Lissie it?ll be you soon hon.

Alittlebitshy ? thank you

Becklespeckle ? I am over the moon for you, what a relief! I hope you feel much, much better!

Thank you Winky fingers crossed for you.

EllieG ? I think that is the million dollar question!

GP worked wonders and got me a consultant?s appointment for 9.30 Monday morning, what a star! I feel a bit more able to relax about that now, I?ll only be 4+4 then so hopefully in for a very good shout of giving this baby every chance in the hostile environment!

lissielou · 10/05/2007 16:13

lol mrs mcj, i dont doubt it for a minute!

nh101 · 10/05/2007 17:10

I just wanted to join this thread and say good luck ladies! I had m/c on Mar 21 and had period Apr 25 so am thinking I must be ovulating sometime now

Have not been handling the m/c very well over the last couple of weeks (as Popsy and Ellie will testify) even though I was fine with it at first.

Just hope I am PG this time but trying not to get my hopes up. (Not doing very well on that score!)

herbaceous · 10/05/2007 17:16

Hello NH.

I think it must be a common timing problem - my m/c was on 21 March too, and I've been finding the past couple of weeks very hard too. Worse than just after all the ERPC, etc. I dare say it will get better for both of us soon...

I thought I had a chance of being up duff again, but aunt flo seems to have arrived, a mere ten days after she left. What the hell...

torres · 10/05/2007 17:56

mrsmc still smiling over your news! I have been distracted all day at work, so god knows how you have been! Glad the Drs frostiness melted and you've got an appointment so soon. Lol at your hostile environment comment- can't imagine how any part of you could be hostile, you seem so lovely!

patkica really hoping that an LP of 16 is a good good sign. Impressed by you holding out to the weekend to test.

wheely sorry hon about the BFN- feel very guilty for getting so excited and bossing you into testing! still, it's not over yet. fingers crossed.

beckle- excellent news- so pleased for you, that must be a weight off your mind. Are you going to have any other early scans or is that it til 12 weeks now?

winkygirl- fingers crossed for you too- could the spotting be implantation bleeding?

lissie how are you hon?

Nh- I had my first period after mc on 25 Apr- we can be cycle buddies. Sorry to hear you are having a bad time just now. I am still up and down, but at least AF arriving meant I could start ttc again. I'm sure it will be tough if I don't fall pg quickly but I am trying to stay positive just now.

herby sorry to hear about Af- how odd. Your hormones must still be up in the air which can't have helped how you've been feeling. Have you called the hospital?

popsy- where have you gone? have you got stuck in those diesel jeans unable to reach the pc?

Jady1407 · 11/05/2007 01:23

Hi everyone. I was on the last thread briefly but since then I have m/c at 6+5. I just checked back to see how everyone is getting on and saw the messages some of you had posted asking how I was/where I was. That was so touching and of course made me cry!!! Thank you all so much. That was my 1st ever pregnancy and so 1st m/c.We have been trying for 10+ years and had IVF twice.I am 43 so it did seem miraculous.
TTC again straight away as I have no time to lose-if my body has decided to wake up then I have to be ready to go! Can't believe how devastated I feel though and it is comforting to read that a lot of you feel the same as I do - we are all in this together but I am sure one by one we will all graduate. Was it Lance Armstrong that said it doesn't matter if there is a 90% chance, a 30% chance or a 1% chance- there is always that chance.

lissielou · 11/05/2007 07:50

hi jady, great quote, so sorry for your loss!

torres,am ok today. hoping to hear from hospital re the HSG tho. the only day they can do it this month is on the 15th so its not looking good still i have sand dune sex to look forward to!

patkica · 11/05/2007 08:16

Mrsmac: sorry about the confusion, you know what I mean. I was so excited by your news that I got it all wrong.

Wheely: how are you?

Herby: what the hell is going on with your AF? Could it be an implantation bleed?

Jady: so glad to hear from you. Didn't like to think you were suffering in silence. It's horrible isn' it. The emotional pain of it was much worse than I could ever have imagined. I'm almost 40 so can symathise. Did your Dr give you any information or was it put down to one of those things? Are you still doing IVF?

Ellie: you go girl.

Everyone else: hello. I'm sorry if I don't reply personally to everyone. I can't keep up but am thinking of you all.

As for me, still no AF, but up most of last night with period pains and really sore boobs. I look and feel hideous. Have been wearing a pad for two days as there's such a strong AF is about to arrive feeling. Keep rushing to the loo, but nothing. I just wish it would come so that I could move on. Everything has been all over the place since m/c so it would be good to get a 'normal' cycle in train.

lissielou · 11/05/2007 08:19

oh patkica, its vile. how long has it been since your mc?

patkica · 11/05/2007 08:46

Rant alert:

32 days, but I was only just 5 weeks pregnant so it seemed to settle in like a normal cycle with a 5 day bleed and CM patterns as normal. But I suspect that I have had some other stuff going on which has produced: metal mouth, really bad cramps in legs, incredibly bright yellow pee and awful stomach problems of one kind or another, not to mention exhaustion like you would not believe, peeing at night etc.. All classic signs, but in no logical order and now AF any minute feelings. I don't get ill very often so it has been a really up and down month for me and I am bloody well FED UP. I feel like throwing a tantrum after trying to be reasonable and logical for weeks. I suppose I should have know the first cylce after m/c would be tricky. Thanks for asking: sorry about the rant liss.

popsy76 · 11/05/2007 08:56

Bloody hell - every time I'm away from the laptop (twycross zoo looking at bonobos - so cool) something MASSIVE happens

MrsMcuptheduff so pleeeeeeeased for you - every person that gets PG on our thread is another positive sign that will all get there too! You have been such a rock for all of us - mentionning everyone by name and providing amazing advice at just the right time!

I am now super obsessed about getting PG! We are at it like rabbits at the mo TBH (or is that TMI) which is great cos then DH won't notice when I go into repro-sex mode when he gets back from the states next weekend (am now worrying that transatlantic flight will affect his sperm ha ha). I have also started day dreaming about needing to test while at a wedding in Prague...we can but dream.

nh101 Hooray you made it accross the ether - we are now officially ttc - which is a much more positive place to be than just recovering from MC don't you think - is still horrid being this person (a post-MC-er) but ttc helps keep my chin up and focusses me on something other than I LOST A BABY feelings.
Right better get arse in gear
still reeling from the NEWS ha ha
LOL to you all
xxx
p.s. what is chart spotting? another thing for me to get obsessed with I guess?
