Hi Ladies, thought I would just grab the bull by the proverbial horns and get this going. Hope the name is okay. MrsMc I am afraid we will all be thinking of you and your DH (and his light saber) everytime we post

Too many individual posts to go back and answer so I thought I'd start with a positive message for all of us from the March thread and for any MC newbies...

Today is my 1 month MN anniversary and I do not know what I would have done without you all. It is the ability to get on here and "let it all out" that keeps me going. I have been blessed to have found you all and whatever lies in my future - your kindness and advice will stay with me forever.

Big Love and Hip hip hooray for a fabulous new positive thread POPSY xxxx

p.s. Gilly get your arse down to london - we can drink the bars dry of Rose (purely medicinal of course )

missn, sorry about your cousin wish i knew what to say!

mrsmcj, its really ok to have a couple. honest x

my1stbaby · 15/05/2007 20:34

hello again basil. about the ewcm, i've read that quite a lot of women do get pregnant before getting ewcm. also that you should start bd once you notice the cm gets wet and slippery sorry if tmi i had some ewcm this cycle but it kind of dried up before i ovulate

popsy: my bestfriend lives in herts. i am seriusly thinking of texting her to warn her re. earthquake

feedmenow · 15/05/2007 21:19

Hi everyone. Good/bad to have you back Basil. Do you mind me asking, was your period particularly heavy then? And did you mc naturally or with intervention? Cos I had an erpc, bled for about 10days-2 weeks (Ithink....v. bad memory me!) then got my period about 31 days after erpc, but it was rather ligth and pathetic. Was just wondering, maybe cos I had erpc they cleaned me out so well that I literally didn't have time to build up a decent lining before my period. Or maybe I'm just talking c**p!!

lissielou · 15/05/2007 22:15

FMN, theres no such thing as anormal period after a mc. your body tries to repair itself and get back into cycle asap so that could be why your af was lighter than normal

KatyH · 15/05/2007 22:17

Hey welcome back Basil, of course we remember you! Sorry you've had such a bad time with your AF, must have felt like it was adding insult to injury Good luck with the BDing though. For what it's worth my monitor reads 'high' way before EWCM appears.

Well, I was going to take some time to catch up tonight and have a proper read as to what was going on but I ended up doing a HPT earlier and it was positive!... My head is in a bit of a haze and I could really do with a glass of Rose popsy if there's any going

I feel bad not having been around on MN and then wading back in with news of a BFP However I feel kind of terrified actually and if it's okay with you can I hang around? Don't think I'll relax until I know this wee one is okay (which won't be for about another 2 months!).

Must be something in the Scottish water.

my1stbaby · 15/05/2007 22:25

Hi. Congrats KatyH. What fab news. Very pleased for you . Bet you will be too excited to sleep tonight. Another new graduate yay!!!

lissielou · 15/05/2007 22:29

congrats katy, of course you can stay. we'll look after you!

KatyH · 15/05/2007 22:30

Thanks My1st. I probably won't sleep but mainly because I'm already a bit neurotic! I was convinced it wouldn't happen this month so had quite a lot of Chablis when we were away last week. Now convinced I've done irreversible harm to the baby!

lissielou · 15/05/2007 22:33

katy, before i knew i was pg with ds i took a shedload of illegal substances one night and drank my way thru 2.5 bottles of white wine another .

trust me, just avoid drinking too much from now on. (you can still have the odd little glass)

KatyH · 15/05/2007 22:35

thanks lissie I have to say I've read some of your posts and feel a bit of an affinity with you. My SIL has just had a baby girl and I also avoid arguments with my dh round about the middle of the month

lissielou · 15/05/2007 22:44

lol, its reached the point where if i shave my legs and/or put on matching undies dh asks if i ovulate tomorrow

KatyH · 15/05/2007 22:47

my dh gets suspicious when I ask him if I can get him anything! I wouldn't mind so much but I like to think that I do nice things like that anyway...he's probably right though!

EllieG · 16/05/2007 08:41

Congrats KatyH! Hurray I like it when people on MN get PG is very happy news. Will have all fingers and toes crossed for next couple months. And course you can still hang out here.
Popsy you make me howl sometimes! Substitute G&T and that could be my mantra too. I thought I was PG this month but think I was just suffering from enormous hangover for a few days...am taking this conception lark dead seriously me

basilbrush · 16/05/2007 09:04

KatyH - yay for you me dearie! let's hope there IS something in the Scottish water for me soon
feedmenow - my first period after m/c was extremely painful and heavy but only lasted about 5/6 days. But as lissielou says, there's no such thing as a typical post m/c AF...
got it wrong yesterday, was actually on CD13 so CD14 today! squeezed in a BD at 6am before school, hope you're all impressed
still no EWCM though and of course I've no idea whether this cycle is going to be a normal 28 day one as the last one was 6 weeks...so might be way of course and not due to ovulate till CD20 or something....

popsy76 · 16/05/2007 09:59

Morning ladies, I really look forward to my morning catch up and post!

KatyH you little fertile bunny ya - fab news - you see - I said this was a lucky PG thread!

Basil Welcome back baby - so chuffed you are back in the Mothers ship!! I knew you were hiding away - as you had the same horrid 6 week wait as me - it drives you bonkers doesn't it?
I am in the same boat as you - no idea what my body is up to at the mo - am CD16 but have long cycles so hoping will hold off til Saturday. Having womb twinges every so often but trying not to over analyse them as my womens bits are so weird these days. Had very quick AF this time round - 3 days or so but still having brown (so sorry I know is TMI but need to share ) stuff ughhh. Poor little womb - don't think I'd like to be hoovered out either

On a lighter note - did a Charlotte Church last night and sent DH a picture text of what he is missing...no reply - I know he is on NY time and have realised it will have arrived mid sales pitch - he sells text message reminder software think may be a divorce on the horizon if those yanks got a flash of my rude bits . Maybe I'll keep following in Charls footsteps and get PG soon!

Paid my penance in spinning this morning - am not PG yet but my tummy is getting back to its prePG state so am trying to feel POSITIVE

popsy hi hunny, keep sitting on that egg till saturday
I too have been having twinges in breast and belly but trying not to think about it too much...repeat after me BB, here is more to life than cervical mucus

Things To Think About Instead Of Cervical Mucus:

1.Moving into lovely new hoose next week with - gasp!- ensuite bathroom (all together...ooooooooooh)
2.Have brand new Interactive Whiteboard installed at school. Need to be super professional and learn how to use in dazzling pedagogic manner asap

  1. Pirates 3 opens 25th May. JOOOOOOOHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNYYYYYYYY
popsy76 · 16/05/2007 11:31

Okay two can play at that game teacherfeatures
(1) Have been to gym so fish and chips for tea tonight with zero guilt
(2) Going to Spain and NY this year on Mr Visa (he is VERY generous!)
(3)Am planning fab new science practical and am GOING TO WIN prize for £10000 to make it world famous how bodies work exhibit!
(4) Rain and no sun has caused pond to clear so as soon as sun shines I can be out there again watching the fish and generally being blissfully happy and at one with my little world

OP posts:
lissielou · 16/05/2007 12:03

just wales. but am sooooo looking forward to it

herbaceous · 16/05/2007 12:09

Yo popsy. Thanks for the 'props', as I believe the young people call them these days. I'm not brave, keeping going is just an extension of the wish we all have to make it all better by being pregnant again.

I'm feeling very non brave today. Cried on tube, and couldn't give a stuff about all the things going wrong with my job. Saw the film Ray last night, and thought 'hmm, being a heroin addict seems quite appealing at the moment'.

lissielou · 16/05/2007 12:11

oh herby, youve been thru so much dont be hard on yourself. have you been offered a session with a mc/fertility counsellor?

EllieG · 16/05/2007 12:13

Don't do that herb you end up with very messy veins and no money and probably nasty diseases.

EllieG · 16/05/2007 12:17

My things to think about are:

  1. Have just had some really nice cake and am going to gym at lunchtime so don't need to worry about it
  2. Am going on hol in 2 months for first time in a billion years I think
  3. DSD is being baby-sat this weekend so we can go out! Yey! (Though will probably still fall asleep by 10pm)
herbaceous · 16/05/2007 12:20

I've been offered bugger all. I had to phone the hospital about five times to get the results of the POC testing, and have tried twice to get an appointment with a consultant. Apparently there's a genetic clinic every month, but I need to be referred by the consultant I can't get to see. I get sent round the houses every time I ring, and am running out of strength.

The private guy I saw about recurrent miscarriages answers any of my emails with curt one-word answers.

I feel really abandoned.
