Hi Ladies, thought I would just grab the bull by the proverbial horns and get this going. Hope the name is okay. MrsMc I am afraid we will all be thinking of you and your DH (and his light saber) everytime we post

Too many individual posts to go back and answer so I thought I'd start with a positive message for all of us from the March thread and for any MC newbies...

Today is my 1 month MN anniversary and I do not know what I would have done without you all. It is the ability to get on here and "let it all out" that keeps me going. I have been blessed to have found you all and whatever lies in my future - your kindness and advice will stay with me forever.

Big Love and Hip hip hooray for a fabulous new positive thread POPSY xxxx

p.s. Gilly get your arse down to london - we can drink the bars dry of Rose (purely medicinal of course )

Hello

first cycle 30 days
Second cycle 19 days.

This was my fourth miscarriage in two years. One at 13 weeks, one at 11 and one at six. Next step, PGS with IVF

missnatalie · 15/05/2007 16:26

Im glad im not the only one that gets like that. It gets me so mad and jelous. Dont get me wrong im happy for my collegue but i cant help feeling angry with her for being pregnant.

lissie i think the HPTs that i had were a bad batch. I did another one this morning that was still faintly positive but ive just done another one from the new batch which is a BFP / .

At least when i get my BFP next, ill know that it is a new one.

lissielou · 15/05/2007 16:27

how bfp???

nh101 · 15/05/2007 16:28

Big hugs Missnatalie, I totally understand. My SIL announced she was PG last weekend and I said all the right things but inside I was so depressed thinking 'why you and not me!' and whenever people spoke about it and got excited I thought shut up! It should be me.

Ellie I was wondering if I could get a positive test result 11 days after ovulation ie three/four days before period is due. I am not very knowledgable about these things yet cos it happened so quick last time but I was thinking if I OV'd yesterday I could test in 10/11 days.

But here's a question for all you experts: the EWCM - does it get thicker in the days running up to OV? I had EWCM yesterday (plus a spotty face) so thought I was OVing, but today the EWCM seems to be thicker (and I am more spotty), so could I be OVing today?

I am CD21 but my cycle could be any length, I don't know as was on the pill forever before getting PG in Jan.

Thanks guys!

missnatalie · 15/05/2007 16:28

Duh sorry that was supposed to be a BFP.

missnatalie · 15/05/2007 16:29

MrsMcJnr · 15/05/2007 16:40

my1stbaby ? thanks sorry you feel fragile it?s so understandable. Take great care of yourself.

Hello Torres mothers indeed!

When I look at our stats, the stat that gets bounded about about your pregnancy getting safer as the weeks go on doesn?t seem true for us does it?

Popsy ? you are in a great mood today! Confession to make I had a very weak G&T on the day I got my BFP but nothing since, I did savour my last one, am I awful? I do love my booze but am totally tee total now. Sorry if I have upset anyone by admitting I had a drink when I knew I was pg, I sometimes think I have a bit of a dependency I defo seem to have OCD! PMSL at you and the MW!

Patkica thanks for the empathy, don?t feel like leaving you guys yet ? planning to take you all with me!

Update on FurryMummy: she had her scan today and all is good!

MissNatalie ? oh hon sending hugs, I get it, I really do, it hurts like hell but hey, that?s one of our own above with good news and yours will come too.

Hey Lissie, Hey Herby

my1stbaby · 15/05/2007 16:40

Hello ladies am back from chiro drenched to the bone and found 3 fire engines outside my door First thing came to my mind: impossible to get a fire with all this b**y rain! Turns out there's a gas leak in one of the student's houses opposite me. They've got it sorted now, phew!! Rang DH to tell him about it and also how disappointed I was there's not one that was fanciable , prob because they've got so many layers on cause of the rain. Anyway, just had a hot shower and logged on with a mug in my hand. Feel quite relaxed all of a sudden. Strange....

ellie and nh will call GP first thing tomorrow and ask to see lady GP and press her for referral.

missn so sorry that you were upset today. Big {{hugs}} to you. I hope you'll feel better. It's horrible isn't it trying to be pleased and cheerful for other people when you are breaking and hurting inside. I pretty much ran away and hide from the world for weeks after my m/c. Couldn't face talking to anyone or go anywhere because I just break down crying whenever I see little babies or PG women on the street. Had a horrible bust up with DH as I refused to go to his best mate party whose wife is 6mth pregnant.

Take care my dear. Don't beat yourself up about crying. I think it's all part of the healing process. I can't say it'll be upwards from here as I'm still yo-yo'ing from one day to the next. But I am more steady now. So perhaps with time, it'll heal enough for the pain to go away but prob no the memory. Bih hugs again {hugs} x

nh101 · 15/05/2007 16:47

Lissie thank you - you have been through the mill haven't you? You always seems so upbeat and positive though. You were the first person I "spoke' to on MN in Jan cos we both got our BFPs at around the same time (it was on the due in Oct thread)

Would my AF be due 14 days from now then if I am OVing today? I won't be able to wait that long (felt like testing this morning!!!) but I will try.

EllieG · 15/05/2007 16:50

What a nice message my1st - we'll all be OK in the end if we just hang in there won't we?

MrsMc - don't worry about the G&T - I would never blame you - did the same myself. I did a course on foetal alcohol syndrome and you have to drink a ton to actually do any damage. And my doc said that in France (where she's from) they actually ADVISE women to drink a glass of red a week - and like she said, all French babies are not stupid, no?
Nh I see what you meant about testing now - one last thing though - what does BFP mean?

my1stbaby · 15/05/2007 16:50

herby just saw your vital stats. I am same age as you and also had m/c recently; 12 weeks but baby prob died about 8weeks. Didn't get a scan at all so no idea what happened. So sorry for all your m/cs. Totally admired your strength and courage ttc again. Feel such a wuz being afraid myself. DH and I are also considering IVF. Do you mind letting me know how you get on with yours and what sort of stuffs you have to do? I have a vague idea but it'll be good to talk to someone about it. Do you mind??

EllieG · 15/05/2007 16:52

My colleague has just had sucessful IVF - worked first time which was fab, though it did make her quite poorly from all the hormones.

nh101 · 15/05/2007 16:52

I think small G&T can be forgiven as some women get hammered, take sleeping pills/Prozac etc before even knowing they are PG and have healthy babies (my friend did anyway). I have my 30th b'day party on SAturday and was worried I might get BFP at doc's follow-up this Thursday and thought maybe I wouldn't tell anyone so I could get drunk at my party and then "find out" I was PG the next day.

But think I am only OVing today anyway so that isn't going to happen!

nh101 · 15/05/2007 16:54

Ellie - BFP = big fat positive (pregnancy test)!

missnatalie · 15/05/2007 17:16

Just had some terrible news and need to tell someone. My cousin has been for her 20 (ish) week scan today and abnormalaties have been found . There seems to be something growing on her babas kidneys and the docs are not too sure what it is. Shes got to go back next week for a "special" scan. This is her 2nd child and she's only 18 and i feel so sorry for her. She hasnt really got much support. Her BF has cheated on her many times and has now gotton his 1 night stand pregnant too. Anyone any ideas of what it could be growing?

MrsMcJnr · 15/05/2007 17:23

How awful MissNatalie I have no idea what it might be - why don't you put a post on Pregnacy thread, someone might know.

missnatalie · 15/05/2007 17:31

Good idea. Ill do that now

nh101 · 15/05/2007 17:46

That is awful. You can be there for her though and understand what she is going through. Good luck.

my1stbaby · 15/05/2007 17:49

So sorry for your cousin MissNatalie. I have no idea what that could be. Hopefully you'll get some answers from the other thread. Poor girl, must be so difficult for her to be alone in such a difficult time. Pls let her know my best wishes and also {hugs} for her.

popsy76 · 15/05/2007 18:36

Hey ladies I'm back and so much has been going on - is like ear wigging into someones convo . Am a tiny bit worried that everyone thinks of me when they see Rose...not! I actually just text my oldest pal in Prague when I was in Marksies and someone was checking out a bottle of the good stuff - They have a Marksies in prague (I know!!! - percy pigs on tap) and me and pal got through stacks of the stuff on my last visit - everytime I tried to replace her stock we made our way through it again - I maintain was the fabulous tortilla chips and parched mouth syndrome

Special message to the bravest ladies I have even met herby and lissielou You two are AMAZING and I feel overwhelmed just reading what you have been through. God your babies are going to be so loved and cherished when they arrive - they are very very lucky! I have tears in my eyes just writing this - sending HUGE PG-inducing hugs (sticky Pgs not naughty ones that are too slippery to hold on to).

I am EXHAUSTED today - is Rose hangover but have been freaking myself out trying to decide if is PG exhaustion ha ha - need a mantra YOU ARE NOT PG YOU ARE JUST A ROSE-LOVING LAZY-ASSED ALCHY WITH A PENCHANT FOR SOFA SURFING....

Hope everyone okay - sorry about your shit day MissN - we have all been there (often) ughhhh. nh better just get to it every other day til you are PG again - from asking around I know lots of people who have OV at really weird times so why not give your DH a mega treat and enjoy the extra excercise and . I am trying not to think about bedroom sports as its arizona here til Saturday - but if they report another earthquake in the Hertfordshire region at about ummm...9.30pm on Saturday you'll know Mr Popsy is earning his keep

Hi Girls - anyone remember me? I'm sure the thread's been desolate without me...
Ashamed to admit I hsve been feeling too down to write for the past week or so
well AF finally arrived with a vengence 6 weeks after m/c. I have NEVER been in such pain with a period in my life, in fact the cramps were way worse than when I actually had m/c
So at least I know am back in the race now - today is CD12, prime bonk-a-rooney time I hear you cry, but no sign of EWCM yet. Could anyone tell me if there is any point BDing before EWCM appears (apart from the enjoying the sight of DH's bum, natch... ) What I mean is does it appear prior or after ovualtion? An detirmined not to go down OPK route as will need a second mortgage if I get into those as well...
Today, a 14 year old pupil hollered "Mrs X, are you pregnant?" at me and when I said, "Charlotte, don't be rude" she yelled "She's pregnant! She's pregnant!" round room. For F**K's sake!!!! Sometimes I hate my job..
popsy YAY for Rose!!
MrsMcMiniBump YAY for you, you fertile Celt you!

basilbrush · 15/05/2007 19:51

Helllooooo??
BB watches tumble weed roll across thread and tucks into bowl of Phish Food
(Hey! my mum sent me this article in the post about how women ttc should eat full fat dairy products as there's some enzyme in the fat that promotes fertility, hurrah! never liked cottage cheese anyway...)
