TTC #2 January BFPs

For all those ttc #2 and hoping to banish those January blues with a new year BFP, this is the bus for you! All welcome. Let’s hope for a flurry of BFPs before the month’s out. 💕💕💕💕

My Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS (2 in November)
Cycle: 16 (groan!)
AF/BFP due: 20 January (my Grandma’s Birthday)

Oh god. I hope it's a BFP. Thanks @RhiBee29 just need to get a test tomorrow then will do it Monday morning.

I'm feeling despondent, got period type cramps and really bloated, I think af is coming. But then I start reading all about people who get cramps even though they're pg, and get all hopeful again. I hate this, I'm terrible at the tww, it's all I can think about.

I've had vague nausea, baked beans didn't taste right today, my teeth hurt weirdly, and I've been waking up at night which is unusual for me. Basically been having loads of reasons to convince myself I'm pg, so if I'm not I'll be really disappointed 😥

Trying to think of the positives, I've got a really nice night out planned with my mum in two weeks for her birthday, and it would be better with copious amounts of prosecco 😊

Hi everybody. I'm new to this thread but been TTC for around 5 months maybe? I'm 29 and have one DD aged 2.2. This is going to be our last month TTC for a few months if one doesn't catch on this month. We already have one Nov baby and we don't want another winter baby so after this month we are going to (try!) and wait until June/July. Fingers crossed this is the lucky month. I think I ovulate on Thursday. We DTD on Weds and Thursday. I had EWCM which I've not had for a few months. So FX this month is the one!

How does everybody deal with the usual 'oh you should be thinking about having another one now before DD is too old' ?

Fingers crossed for you. Sounds like good signs all round so maybe this is the month. Otherwise I think the pros Ecco lunch will be well in order!! ;)

Thanks intelligentPutty. The cramps have stopped and am just having some spotting. It's hard because it doesn't seem like my normal periods, but I've only had one since coming off the mirena so I don't really know! Keep us posted on your test, fingers crossed for you!

I have just had my first positive Ovulation test on clear blue ! The little smiley face is literally what I’m looking like ! Haha ! Come on healthy egg ! And good little speedy swimmers haha !

It was positive today when I used the digital.
Totally in shock and so sorry I'm posting on here. U may think I'm crashing but I've been rtf #2 for about 2 years now and 1 world and 1 mmc later I'm hoping this one is sticky. If not then I think that's it for us.

I got up to test but af had arrived with a vengeance this morning so I’m out! So frustrating, I can’t help but think about it all the time. And I probably pay more attention to all little twinges and think they’re significant, they might well always happen but I just don’t notice them! Anyway, onwards and upwards, will be on the Feb bus instead to do it all over again!

I think I’m in the same boat. Test tomorrow if Af hasn’t arrived. Lots of cramps. Not much else to write home about so I guess she is on her sorry way.

Congrats intelligent! I hope it’s a sticky one for you. I understand you feeling cautious but I’m sure you’ll be fine. You are never crashing! It’s good to hear good news!

I'm out too, af arrived 2 days early. Think I'll give mn a miss for a few months. Trying to find peace with this ongoing sadness but its bloody hard.

Sending enormous hugs your way CatRen. I can’t quite remember how long you’ve been ttc but it’s 16 cycles and counting at this end, and it’s so blo£&y shit. Long term ttc is so wearing. Look after yourself my lovely, and please do come on here and tell us when you get that elusive sticky BFP. Xxxx

9dpo at this end and having been feeling overly confident this month (it’s cycle 16 ffs so the confidence was no doubt misplaced) after perfectly timing our dtd efforts at a time of year when neither of us were ill or stressed, I’m fairly sure that yet again, AF is planning an uninvited descent before next weekend is out. Feeling pretty glum about it all.

I’d defy anyone to weather 16 cycles of ttc without it having some impact on their self worth/ confidence. DH and I have started talking about hanging up our ttc shoes for once and for all. He’s much more reluctant than I am, but I’m fast coming to the conclusion that we’re never going to manage it naturally again.

Sounds like you have both been struggling a lot through this TTC journey like me. I really keep fingers crossed for you and hope that the sticky BFP comes soon.

@intelligent congratulations on the bfp, really hope everything goes smoothly.

@cariad really hope the confidence isn’t misplaced this month and that af stays away for you. I can also understand the discussions about stopping TTC. DH and I have had discussions about the same as I’m struggling with the whole thing so much but have decided to give ourselves until June and then reassess if nothing happens.

I’m 9dpo today, have the usual tww cramps. Pretty sure af will turn up early as I was irrationally angry yesterday and blew up at DH for no reason really. This is usually a symptom of af arriving but not generally at 8dpo.

You never know @june! I’ve been pretty up and down moody this weekend and my tender boobs now have tingling nipples, didn’t get this last month, actually had no boob tenderness at all after the normal tender ovulation ones last month. So I’m hoping this along with crampy feelings which I did have last month and vivid/wacky dreams which I had last month and when I conceived DS are going to lead to a positive. Only 5dpo though.

It’s not like me at all usually in the tww I’m quite level and happy. Don’t remember having this with DD or in September before the MC but I’m not getting my hopes up at the minute.

I worked out we conceived in september on the 6 month of TTC and the 5th month of using opk’s. This cycle is the 4th cycle after the mc so I’m feeling a lot of pressure that we won’t conceive again within 6 months.

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, I know it’s easy to say though.
