For all those ttc #2 and hoping to banish those January blues with a new year BFP, this is the bus for you! All welcome. Let’s hope for a flurry of BFPs before the month’s out. 💕💕💕💕

My Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS (2 in November)
Cycle: 16 (groan!)
AF/BFP due: 20 January (my Grandma’s Birthday)

Just been looking at my resting heart rate over this cycle, it went up over af, then down until ovulation when it went up again over the days I got high and peak readings. Then it went back down after ovulation and now since 7dpo it has started creeping back up.

Unfortunately I don’t have this time last cycle to compare to as to whether this is a good sign or not. Either way it will be interesting to see if there is a discernible pattern.

mamaiFifi · 15/01/2018 20:16

Ahh I need to be slapped I am only 5 dpo and felt the need to test because of symptoms! Why! It's probably fantasy symptoms!

Inapicklewithoutapaddle · 16/01/2018 07:44

Hello

Age: 38
Cycle: 10
DD: 4
MC at 8 weeks before Christmas
AF: normal 13 January (but who knows after MC)
Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Inapicklewithoutapaddle · 16/01/2018 07:45

PS too scared to check!

Kit1411 · 16/01/2018 12:43

Hi @Inapickle good luck!
@peanut how you doing? Any symptoms? I’ve had quite a lot of thick creamy cm (more than last month), twinges down there like last month, just waiting to see if I feel implantation again today/tomorrow. Also had quite a few vivid dreams like last month and with my DS so hoping this month is a positive.

SleetyMountains · 16/01/2018 16:32

Hello, can I join you all?

Age: 35
Cycle: 1
DC: DS aged 2
CD: 14 of 30 day cycle
AF: Due 2nd Feb

After DS turned 2 in autumn, DH and I decided to enjoy Christmas alcohol before TTC #2. We've both really wanted a 2nd DC but once Christmas was over I had a sudden panic about handling 2 DC and going back to dealing with the sleep deprived newborn stage, so I started to think we should enjoy our sleep for a few more months.

But then after watching DS play so sweetly with his baby cousin yesterday I decided, what the hell, let's go for it and, if we're lucky enough to conceive quickly, at least we'll get the sleep deprived stage out of the way quicker! So we officially DTD last night on CD13. Think I will ovulate on CD16. We were very lucky to conceive DS on cycle 1 but maybe we've used up our luck and this time it may take longer.

I got a Fitbit for Christmas so am intrigued to watch how my resting HR changes, it dropped when AF arrived on 3rd Jan but has been climbing slowly since, so wondering if it will peak on Ov day Smile

Cariad2017 · 16/01/2018 18:12

Welcome Sleety. I really hope your journey ttc #2 is short and sweet.

I hadn’t worn my Fitbit for a while (as I’d forgotten the charger at my parents’ house), but I wore it yesterday and my HR was ominously low (lower than it’s ever been at this stage of a cycle), and that combined with the cramping I’ve been experiencing all day (something which I was blissfully immune to during my 6 months of acupuncture) makes me think that AF is imminent.

I’m totally fed up with the whole thing to be honest and fast losing hope that I’ll ever get pregnant again. Xxx

Hi all. I'm on day 6 after ovulation. Sorry unsure which CD. Has anybody had any implantation symptoms around this time? I'm getting slight period pains/similar to ovulation. I should know this stuff having already had a child haha.

Peanut1980 · 16/01/2018 20:14

Hi @kit1411. That all sounds very promising 🤞 not too much for me. I have some period type pains but not unusual for me so I’m guessing it’s no for me this month x

Kit1411 · 16/01/2018 22:14

@peanut still have my fingers crossed for you. @Pina I had implantation pain on 6 dpo last month (had early MC at 4+ wks). I’m 6 dpo today but didn’t feel anything like it today, hoping tomorrow I might otherwise maybe I’ve not conceived this month.

Cariad2017 · 17/01/2018 09:05

BFN at 11dpo this morning so I’m fairly sure I’m out... In more positive news, it does mean that my dream of a September holiday to the sun is still alive (I would much much rather a baby, but hey...)

OP posts:
MynameisJune · 17/01/2018 09:23

@cariad sorry for the bfn lovely. I haven’t even tested this morning after yesterday’s bfn at 10dpo. If my some miracle af doesn’t arrive then I may test in a week or so.

A September holiday sounds lovely but I’m hoping it’s just too early for you to test 😊

Peanut1980 · 17/01/2018 13:41

@cariad2017 sorry to hear your news.

I really try not to symptom check as in the past I’ve talked myself into being pregnant only to experience lots of BFN. Yesterday and today though I’ve felt so nauseous and had quite uncomfortable cramping. I’m 7 dpo. Not sure whether I’m just coming down with something. The more I try to ignore it the worse the nauseous is getting 🤢🤢🤢 Until I get more creamy CM and sore boobs I won’t get excited!

Kit1411 · 17/01/2018 14:20

Sounds good @peanut, my cm is more watery now, but my boobs really still tender and I again had a vivid dream last night, although I keep thinking this month isn’t our month.

Peanut1980 · 17/01/2018 18:48

Ahh @kit1411 I so hope you get a BFP this month. My Uncle died last night so I’m not sure whether nauseous is from stress of that. Only time will tell xx

MynameisJune · 17/01/2018 18:57

@peanut I don’t want burst your bubble but the nausea is likely from progesterone at this stage rather than hcg. The egg would have barely implanted, if at all yet, at 7dpo so there is no way there would be enough hcg in your system yet to cause sickness. Not to say you’re not pregnant but just that it’s likely a symptom of post ov progesterone rise.

Peanut1980 · 17/01/2018 19:55

@mynameisjune ahh that’s useful to know. Thanks for sharing. It’s probably stress. I don’t actually feel pregnant so hadn’t burst open the party poppers just yet! I’m forever hopeful but have also accepted no. 2 may not happen for us xxx

Kit1411 · 17/01/2018 21:10

Aw @peanut I’m sorry for your loss, hope you’re alright x

mamaiFifi · 18/01/2018 18:17

@Peanut1980 sorry for your loss.

How did everyone's cervix feel at 8po, mine is low hard and nearly feels like it's pushing out of my vagina sorry for tmi. Is this normal?

RhiBee29 · 19/01/2018 18:33

Anyone testing this weekend? Af due Tuesday and I'm fighting the urge to POAS!

LopeyLopez · 19/01/2018 19:28

Hello all, hope everyone's well; happy Friday!

Odd question: I just got a voicemail from the gp to say that the ultrasound she's requested as part of the investigation into our infertility has been rejected! She was trying to get in touch and I wondered why - kept getting a voicemail to ring her, then I kept ringing her and she wasn't available....our messages bounced back and forth and finally this is what I get!! She's not at work all next week so I can't ask about it.

Why would this be? I thought it was routine as part of the investigations they do? Is it because of funding?? We've now been trying for 11 months / 12 cycles. Surely that's enough at my age (nearly 38)?? I feel a bit deflated. Of course I don't want to cause the NHS unnecessary cost. But at the same time, I want to know if something's wrong. What if there's a physical reason that I can't conceive that would have shown up on the scan? Guess I won't know now....

Has this happened to anyone else? Did you just have to wait longer? X

Cariad2017 · 19/01/2018 21:09

Lopey - We were rejected for further investigations beyond the initial blood tests and SA on the basis that we had a child already. I get the sense that it’s very much a postcode lottery as to how much investigation they will do for fertility on the NHS in circumstances where you have a child already. I’d definitely follow up with your GP but if it’s anything like it is here, you might find that your only option is to have it done privately. We found it immensely frustrating, particularly as DH’s SA came back with poor morphology which the letter described as a “possible contributory factor” and yet we weren’t entitled to a consultation to explain the results and their implications on the NHS.

OP posts:
MynameisJune · 19/01/2018 21:37

@looey basically what Cariad said. It’s a postcode lottery. I had the ultrasound as part of my initial tests. We have decided if we don’t get a bfp by March then we will go privately for further tests. A full suite of his and hers testing is £650 here. Then the cost of whatever extra testing is recommended after that.

Af arrived today so we are one month closer to that. Only good thing is that af arrived a day earlier so I should definitely ovulate before I go away now.

Kit1411 · 19/01/2018 22:45

@mama mine is really low but feels a bit squishy 🤔 although don’t normally check so don’t know what’s normal for me.

Cariad2017 · 19/01/2018 23:14

Sorry to hear AF arrived Mynameis. Be kind to yourself my lovely and do treat yourself to plenty of 🍷 and 🍰 this weekend. Good news re: next cycle though. I’m in a similar boat to you re: next cycle - DH will be practically out of action from 2 February (as he’s at a rugby international on 3 February and then goes away with work for a week on 4 February), so hoping to ov around day 12/13 to make sure we nail the timings (not that 17 cycles in it probably matters very much anyway....)

Fully expecting AF to rock up in full glory tomorrow. She’s never been late yet and I know I’m not upduffed.
