TTC #2 January BFPs

For all those ttc #2 and hoping to banish those January blues with a new year BFP, this is the bus for you! All welcome. Let’s hope for a flurry of BFPs before the month’s out. 💕💕💕💕

My Stats are as follows:

Age: 35
DS (2 in November)
Cycle: 16 (groan!)
AF/BFP due: 20 January (my Grandma’s Birthday)

Ah OK. Thank you cariad and june for the info. I knew about already having a child affecting funding for IVF (as in, there isn't any and you must fund yourself) but I didn't realise that extended to the initial tests as well. It makes sense now. I guess we will just try for another year or so and then give up. Don't really want to continue with this stress for any longer than that.

Not sure what's going on with m and whether I've ov yet. Should have been around last Sunday but I normally get a big blob of ewcm (sorry tmi!) and I didn't this month, just a small amount a few times over three days. Maybe that's all the grapefruit juice changing my cm! Anyway I assume I probably did ov last weekend which would make me about 6dpo. A couple of days ago I had stabby pains low down and was super sleepy but I think it would have been too early for implantation so probably my body just dreaming up symptoms! I'm going to try and only test if AF is late as last time I was pg I spent a fortune on tests before my BFP!

We dtd a few times in what I think was my fertile week anyway so hopefully had it covered!

Sending enormous hugs your way Lopey. I shall be keeping everything crossed that this is your year. I wouldn’t wish long term ttc on my worst enemy. It well and truly sucks. I totally get the wanting to draw a line under the whole ttc chapter and get on with the rest of your life. Here’s hoping you get that longed for baby before feeling the urge to do so.

AF is here as predicted. Good luck to all those on here who are yet to test. We could really do with some more BFPs on here. It's onwards and upwards to cycle 17 (the one where my EDD clashes with my uni GBF's wedding, which would almost certainly mean I'd end up missing it and never be forgiven!!) Oh what I would give to invoke the law of sod!

So sorry AF arrived cariad. It's a really miserable time. As you say, I wouldn't wish long term ttc on anyone. Take care. Treat yourself kindly and have some wine and cake.

Sorry to hear about af @cariad2017. I’m not due on until next week but I know I’m not expecting a BFP. I really need to get my husband tested. I’m going to wait until I get af and then I’m going to make an appointment for him. I’ve had all my tests done and they come back fine. His may do to and I hope they will. It’s just he drinks a bottle of wine a night (at least) and I don’t think it’s doing us any favours 😩

Getting major stomach cramps and seriously grumpy at 6dpo (If I did actually ovulate). Having a bit of a wobble today, think it's a mixture of hormones and the horrendous stomach pains. Think I may have a little cry while cuddling my hot water bottle. Don't think this will be my month, especially as I can't be sure I did actually ovulate (had a few false starts the last couple of months). I know I should stop feeling sorry for myself, but then I figure one night of self pity wont hurt will it?

Sorry to hear you’re feeling down tonight @bambamber. I hope you feel better tomorrow. I’ve generally been more relaxed about it this month... until today. I’m due on my period on Thursday but know I’m not pregnant. Just had a little boo about it tonight. I just had no idea we’d have issues falling pregnant again as it was a breeze the first time x

It's amazing how these feelings creep up. Before ever trying for a baby it seemed like it would be such an exciting time, but instead it just seems to suck all the fun out of sex and just be emotionally draining.

Hello! Think I’m a bit mad to join the emotional rollercoaster of ttc again!

DS: 4 yo
Cycle: 1
AF due 28th Jan

Had my coil removed at the start of the month - could that have delayed ov? As I didn’t really feel I did until about CD 16 and with a 27 day cycle I think that’s cutting it too fine...

Sorry to hear AF has arrived for some of us I'm now 5 dpo, feeling exhausted here as last night was full of crazily vivid dreams, and I've woken with mild cramps, tender breasts and my RHR has jumped up by 3bpm after dropping after it peaked on ov day. I know it's ridiculously early for symptom spotting though so trying not to read too much into it. I was away on honeymoon for the 2ww with DS so had lots of distractions from symptom spotting, but now I'm bored at work it's a lot harder to distract myself!!

Good luck @sleety, I had the vivid dreams with my DS, also had it last month (ended in early MC) and I have had them this month every night!

Hi I'm back! I'm a patiently waiting out the TWW. AF is due tomorrow and I'm really getting my hopes up this cycle. Really hope it doesn't turn up tomorrow. I've had cramps throughout and I'm sure I had round ligament pain yesterday. Fingers crossed! Don't know when to test. I was going to leave it til Friday when I'm a few days late if I make it that far.

I caved. Tested this morning and it was BFN. Feel like AF is going to arrive any minute anybody else felt like it was very imminent but ended up getting a BFP? Can't remember how I felt with my DD

Right talk to me about resting HR and ovulation? I treated myself to a new Fitbit and have been monitoring this month, at start of the month it was up at 70 and then started dropping whilst on AF to 57-59 for rest of month and then last few days risen to 62.

Ovia and FF don't fully line up with predicted fertile days and Flo spans them both 🙈 and I don't opk yet so don't know if/when ovulated. AF due 28/30th around then (again they don't agree!!)

That's me out this month. AF has arrived. Does anybody else find it more stressful TTC number 2? I'm constantly worrying thinking I hope it's soon as each month the age gap is getting bigger. Also people keep saying things like 'so when are you going to have another' or 'you don't want to leave it too long...' arrrg
