Thought someone better start a new thread as we're getting close to the 1000 mark!
Ready - what's your question?

OP posts:
nomoremagnolia · 15/06/2007 16:52

READY so good to 'see' you - you have been missed! Am genuinely ing at my laptop!
How was your time away? Where did you go and what did you do? Any gossip?

OP posts:
PinkMartini · 15/06/2007 22:00

Welcome back Ready
How is everyone tonight? Off out having fun I hope. As for me, today I've been brooding about whether to move house on this thread
What do you think?

PinkMartini · 18/06/2007 09:05

I'm guessing you're all MNing at work - it's been very quiet this weekend!

I am quite as AF seems to be here. I was inexplicably sick on Sat night so was getting q excited but pretty certain it's not implantation or anything. Was going to go out and buy a test today as well. Oh well.

scorpio1 · 18/06/2007 09:40

hi again, Ready nice to see you back! hoping you are well and ok?

Treenie · 18/06/2007 12:53

Hi Pink Martini
sorry to hear about Af - poor you.
Let's talk property and cheer you up. Move asap would be my thoughts! Have read the other thread quickly so sorry if I'm raising points that have already been made.
We live in SW zone 3 and I love it. We sold our flat over a year ago and bought a house so that we'd have more than enough room and have it all done up when the baby comes - no one is more of chicken counter than me I tell you but I can't function if not organised.
Currently using what will be the nursery as a dressing room. But as soon as I am preggers we'll change that.
Zone 3 can be lovely - you won't be lonely. Certainly not when you have a baby - there are mums with buggies everywhere here. Just find yourself an antenatal class/mum and baby swimming class et and you'll make loads of pals.
And it's not as if you are moving to the middle of nowhere is it? Your pals will still be able to come and visit, just a few stops more on the tube.
My advice would be do it now. I've seen mates move when they are preggers or with babies and it looks like a complete nightmare. If you do it now you will hopefully be all set by the time the baby comes (and it will one day I'm sure). Also gives you a nice fun project to think about and takes your mind of TTC a little bit.
Anyway, hope that helps. I am love property stuff so happy to chat about it any time.
x

Ive been away up north for a wedding and ma basck now (lots of Bd while away, so fingers crossed hey ladies?)

Off to glasto on weds.Arggggghhh! weather forecast awful..lots of BD there too hopefully. Its a very spiritual place, and apparantly if you run around the stone circle 3 times its good luck!

i will run for us all shall I?

Treenie · 18/06/2007 13:39

Why not Fi?! LOL at you running around a big stone circle like some crazy fairy!
x

nomoremagnolia · 18/06/2007 13:49

How many circits will that be for all of us? Hope you don't miss the festival by running round in circles trying to get us all knocked up!!

OP posts:
fifilou · 18/06/2007 13:52

know what? I actually don a pink wig and fairy wings at glasto to......bet youre giggling now. God help my kids if im lucky enough to have them! They will think theyre mother is a nutter.

Something really p88d me off the other day, I was talking to someone who had had her baby 4 months ago, and she was bweing all 'i know evetything about motherhood'and really upset me, she said 'you wont go to glasto when youve had a baby, so enjoy this lasto ne!' I mean am i being totally thick here, or is my life mine and not hers?

I was furious! It annoys me that people assume the fun is over when you have kids....its just the beggining of a different kind of fun! Ive worked iwht kids for years and have had so much fun! I cant wait to have my own, to carry on being completlery nutty with, and yes.. take them to glasto!

fifilou · 18/06/2007 13:53

and ladies... ican spell, really i can, i just get over excited when i hash at the keys!

fifilou · 18/06/2007 13:56

ok then, we need to calculate how many circles i need to do!

My friends will think im vonkers, but they do already so, come on ladies.pop your name down and i will chant it as i run!

wouldnt it be funny if it worked?!!!!!

toomuchtimeonline · 18/06/2007 13:58

Nomore -thanks for the link -I'm CD1 for the first time off the pill today!!! It's very exciting!!

PM - Sorry to hear your AF has arrived! I know what you mean about everyone around you being pregnant or with babies - i'm the same! I think it's what got me to being so broody.

Ready - Big wave back at ya!!

Treenie - how's the new niece/nephew? Is it their first?

Fi - will do you a separate post now

toomuchtimeonline · 18/06/2007 14:02

Fi - I would be very grateful if you did a circle for me ! CD1 today after 15 years on the pill - so I have everything crossed that my cycle goes back to normal quickish.. [crossed fingers sign]

Lol at the thought of you with a pink wig running frantically around in a circle!!

I know what you mean about people saying "enjoy it while you can" and "you can't do that when you have a baby".. it irritates the hell out of me! I'm not stupid enough to think my life won't change but you can still be the person you were before you had a baby!! Too many people think you become just mam and dad rather than the couple you were before kids! Just ignore them!! Anyway lots of people take their kids to glasto! It just makes you a cool parent!!

p.s. hope all your bding worked!

p.p.s lol at the thought of you bouncing around in your tent bding this week

fifilou · 18/06/2007 14:10

toomuch............ yes thats a very funny thought, BDing at glasto. you have to be so quiet as the tents are soooooooooooo close! Teee-heeee!

right so im up to 12 laps? my god, i better not touch the somerset cider before i do it!

shall i pop up s post saying 'running round the glasto good look stones.anyone want me to run for them?'

Can you imagine..............i would end up doing 150,000!

better get my marathon shoes on again (theyve been unused since april!)

fifilou · 18/06/2007 14:11

ooops silly fat fingers mvgdjosdjflsd good luck stones i meant to type. Im rubbish at typing

Treenie · 18/06/2007 14:13

Fi I think you sound wonderful not mad at all! If more people put on pink wigs and had a laugh the world would be a better place. And these killjoys who tell you life will never be the same when you have kids can bugger off! Like you I reckon it gets better. And if you scroll down you'll see a post I did last week talking about my very wise friend who has a baby and is still just as much fun as she ever was - who says you can't be covered in baby sick and drink wine at the same time?!

Toomuch, how sweet of you to remember about me being an auntie again. It's a wee girl - no name as yet. This is their second daughter - the other is 18 months. Got the first pic of her today on email and she is adorable - hope I manage to produce one that gorgeous!
And how exciting that you are on CD 1. Have everything crossed for you!
Go and get some grapefruit juice - I hear it increases CM and buy some OV tests so you know exactly what is happening when.
Good luck my dear! x

fifilou · 18/06/2007 14:16

eurghhhhhhhhhhhh! Grapefruit juice. My face is all screwed up thinking about it

Have started a new thread as we are getting quite high on postings....can you guess which one it is? Te heee!

toomuchtimeonline · 18/06/2007 14:38

Fi - quiet Bding in tents is hilarious! can you imagine if you get pregnant - In 17 years time you'll have to tell your kids girlfriend/boyfriend "yes little johny was conceived in a tent at glasto!!"

Treenie - ahh a little girl!! fab!!

toomuchtimeonline · 18/06/2007 14:39

p.s. grapefruit juice? when do I have to drink that?

I'm so excited about CD1 and TTC! I've bought some cheap ovulation strips off the net - when do you think I should start taking them - I have no idea how long my cycle is going to be..

Treenie · 18/06/2007 14:42

Toomuch supposedly grapfruit juice helps with CM so drink it up to OV. Since you don't know when OV I would say start testing from day 11 so you don't miss it if you are OV on day 14 person. But you might end up OV on day 20 and have wasted quite a few. I would say it's worth it but I know they are expensive. Have just been looking at peeonastick.com. Really useful site so have a look.

nomoremagnolia · 18/06/2007 15:04

toomuch - don't take the ov sticks!!

we seem to have multiplied - are we on the new thread for everything now or just for glasto circles?

OP posts:
fifilou · 18/06/2007 15:09

no more! jump to tother thread.this one was getting mighty long.......... anyway....its glasto month, so glasto luck all round!

nomoremagnolia · 18/06/2007 15:11

Ok, so for everyone else's benefit - here's where we've gone...

OP posts:
toomuchtimeonline · 18/06/2007 17:19

Sorry - didn't know how to do the link..

Just popped back here and am rolling on the floor at the thought of me "taking ovulation sticks" - oops - I really should preview my posts!!

Woodmouse · 20/06/2007 10:33

sorry, I have been off the thread for a while as I have been away, but needed a little support.

The final one of my best friends (out of a group fo 6 of us) just announced - 10 minutes ago - that she is PG. That's 5 out of 6 and only me not catching after 6 months. I KNOW it is still early days yet, but I am all tearful. Of course I am happy for her and she is thrilled, but I am sitting here in my own little miasma of misery and worry that it will never happen to me .
