TTC after recurrent miscarriage

Hi, just wondering if anyone else was in a similar place to me and wanted to chat about it? I'm 30, TTC my first and have had three miscarriages, all early (two natural MCs at five weeks, then a MMC where a scan at 6+5 revealed development had again stopped at 5 weeks). I've had RMC tests and am just waiting on the results of that but hoping to be able to TTC again from my next period, which should come any day now. I've found throughout the whole thing (have been TTC just over a year now) that it's really helped me to chat with people in similar positions, so if anyone wants to be TTC buddies please let me know!

Ive had mc in april, mmc in september & now had preg test this mornin saying not preg at 15dpo after get faint positive at 11dpo & stronger positive at 13dpo. Cant believe it again, havent even told poor hubby yet. What the heck is wrong with me 😭😭. GP wouldnt refer me for testing after 2 but i will be ringing this morning & demanding they do something for me 😪

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 07:14

:o with the rate the post is currently moving I'll be the size of a house by then! OK OK. I promise to buy one before DM calls at 9.30 your time. But I'll try not to do it until it's been 4h.

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 07:15

Hey di, sorry to hear you're worrying. The digital tests are much less sensitive than ordinary tests so try not to panic, maybe do another normal test or a first response?

di626 · 19/12/2017 07:17

@BertieBotts thanks 😊 but unfort it was showing 1-2 weeks yesterday so cant even live with that hope 😔

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 07:22

Sounds like you're probably on the cusp of what that test can register, and today's urine was more dilute, probably.

Stick to the non technical ones until you're a bit further on.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/12/2017 08:04

Welcome di626 - I'm really sorry for your previous losses, and that you're so anxious about this one now. I agree with Bertie that a normal, non-digital test might give you a better idea of what's going on, or - and I know this is torture - waiting a couple of days and then testing again. I'm currently pregnant and had some v worrying tests at the start of this one - I'm 9.5 weeks now, so while obviously I don't know how this one is going to turn out, it definitely wasn't a chemical as I thought from the first couple of tests I took.

Will be thinking of you today Miami. I really hope that they treat you with care and compassion, and that they're able to give you constructive and conclusive results. I know it'll be a very hard day whatever happens, and hope you and DH are able to take care of yourselves and each other Flowers

Miami, just wanted to say I am thinking of you and your DH today. I hope the appointment is constructive and you get some answers. And if going ape shit at the doctors is what you need to do then that is ok.

Welcome di. I'm sorry for your losses and the limbo you're in right now. I hope things become clearer over the next few days, and in a positive way.

Bertie I am on tenterhooks and have my fingers tightly crossed.

AnneLovesGilbert · 19/12/2017 08:37

Sending love to you and DH miami. Let us know how you get on. Thinking of you Flowers

bertie, holding you to it! And cough up your tip... Grin

di626 · 19/12/2017 08:38

Paypalmygift · 19/12/2017 09:26

Apologies for barging in your thread - am just a lurker. Just wanted to say hearty congratulations Bertie. I am so happy for you. Put your feet up, get pampered loads and wishing you a stressfree and troublefree pregnancy. Flowers

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 09:27

It's a proper BFP, isn't it? No wonder I've been feeling sick and tired! Oh please let it be okay. If I get to new year's day I'll be exactly 6 weeks which will be a milestone for us. I think I've decided not to go to the doctor until then. I'd have to have bloods 48h apart which means even if I go today I won't get an answer until after Christmas anyway and the office is likely to close over the whole period. If I miscarry before new year then I'll go to hospital, that will get it logged (and checked in case ectopic etc) - otherwise, go to gynecologist in new year and by then there should be a visible heartbeat.

This means if I get that far I'll be 8 weeks along at our genetic testing appointment!

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 09:28

Aww thank you Paypal :) And Lisa and Miami!

I'm skyping with my mum in a minute and I don't know if I'm going to keep the secret! Oops!!

Haffertee4 · 19/12/2017 09:29

Hooray Bertie so excited for you.....

Welcome to all the newbies.... sorry you Are here but hoping you find it helpful.

Miami will be thinking of you today....

Lisa that sounds really hard... do you have more appointments to find out more about test results or is it just waiting.... keep us posted and we will be thinking of you too ....

No news here I'm afraid, AF finally stopped after a last minute resurgence. Have felt really nauseous the last couple of days so after having googled nausea after period am
Now wondering whether I have a hormone imbalance..... stupid googling I must stop since I know I'm prob just tired and stressed as that makes me feel sick. I can be ridiculous at times.

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 09:29

It's so surreal to think this is my fourth pregnancy.

Right. I'd better go and jump on the pregnancy threads I've been lurking on. Blush

Haffertee4 · 19/12/2017 09:31

Just seen the picture Bertie... that is a mega line! Know wonder you feel terrible... great news.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/12/2017 09:35

Haffertee just read your post and think I was accidentally misleading - by 'worrying test results' I meant pregnancy tests that kept getting darker and lighter, not anything more sinister. I thought I would lose that one very early on, but didn't. As people keep telling me, currently I have no concrete reason to worry about this one - I've seen a heartbeat twice, at 6.5 and 8.5 weeks, growth was spot on in both, and so what signs there are are encouraging, which I am trying to cling onto. I'm still incredibly anxious, though, and am having a private scan tomorrow (9+5) in the hope of getting some reassurance to get me through Christmas. We'll see.

Haffertee4 · 19/12/2017 10:04

Phew, I thought you had had another scan or blood tests that weren't good and I'd missed it! It's so hard not to continuously worry isn't it ...

Brilliant news Bertie, hope you have a troublefree pregnancy!!!

BertieBotts · 19/12/2017 11:48

OK so the tip is a bit embarrassing, but considering we only DTD once in the whole fertile time this month it's probably worth sharing - DH used a cock ring Blush which was (ahem) rather good for me and also seemed to result in a more powerful ejaculation. Def recommended.

I also had him on a multivitamin but I believe this would have taken effect too late.
