TTC after recurrent miscarriage

Hi, just wondering if anyone else was in a similar place to me and wanted to chat about it? I'm 30, TTC my first and have had three miscarriages, all early (two natural MCs at five weeks, then a MMC where a scan at 6+5 revealed development had again stopped at 5 weeks). I've had RMC tests and am just waiting on the results of that but hoping to be able to TTC again from my next period, which should come any day now. I've found throughout the whole thing (have been TTC just over a year now) that it's really helped me to chat with people in similar positions, so if anyone wants to be TTC buddies please let me know!

I don't think you were aggressive, I was touched by your anger on my behalf!

By the way, I haven't been keeping up with things well, and only just noticed the couple of odd messages we got in the last few days... Why do people think this thread is an appropriate place to share obvious and well-known advice, or to tell us they don't like their children anyway?!

Hi ladies,
I haven’t posted in a while, hope your all ok.

Congratulations Fox
so after a having a private gynecologist tell me that I was going through my third miscarriage I have since been back and forth the EPU and I do indeed have a little sticky bean growing! Smile

KimmiC · 18/11/2017 13:52

(Wasn’t meant to send last message there)
I’ve had 2 heavy bleeds but have a little one fighting away. I’m about 10 weeks so not out of danger zone but thought I would share a positive story. Sonographer has explained that the bleeding is down to an area of ‘bruising’ located next to the sac. They are keeping a close eye on me so fingers crossed.
I wish all of you ladies the best.

MogScratch · 18/11/2017 16:45

Lisa - Good news on bloods, such a relief after your tests last weekend. how long do you have to wait for the early scan?

Kimmi glad it is looking good so far.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 19/11/2017 11:43

Lovely news, kimmi! Thanks mog - scan a week Tuesday, so trying (and failing) not to think about it until then. When is yours?

How's everyone else doing? Any news on the flat, bertie?

Only just had the time to catch up from few pages previous. Huge congratulations to you too Lisa wishing you all the luck with this pregnancy.

I’m also on progesterone and aspirin so good to hear your conversation with Coventry about it thank you. X

keeponrunning85 · 20/11/2017 10:23

I don't think you were aggressive fox, don't worry about it!

So glad to hear everything is going ok kimmi. I hope the bleeding has settled down.

Bertie how was your weekend away?

Anne I hope your weekend was ok.

All those with beans on board I hope things have been ticking along quietly.

So AF seems to have finished so we shall be getting back on the TTC horse. Obviously I am going to be totally zen about the whole thing and not become a symptom spotting hopeful twat in the TWW Hmm. I have not missed that at all these last 7 months!

It also dawned on me a few days ago that due date number 4 is rapidly approaching. I had managed quite well to put it out of my mind. But it is ok to feel sad.

Anyway, off to Seville with DH later where it is a balmy 20 degrees and sunny!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 20/11/2017 19:54

Ooh, have a lovely time in Seville - sounds like a lovely place to get back on the TTC train! Am jealous of the winter sun - it was so grey and miserable here today!

Of course it is fine to feel sad - if you want to talk about it then we're all here.

Thanks Lisa. Our trip has not got off the best start! Our flight to Malaga had to divert and make an emergency landing in France. We then had to wait for a new plane to come from Gatwick so we missed our train to Seville which was the last one. We stayed a night in Malaga last night but by the time we arrived everywhere was closing so we had the contents of a vending machine for 'dinner'. Then got up at 5.45 to try and get the first train but it was full so have spent the last hour killing time in the station. DH has lost his rag and declared that he wants to go home. So all in all not very conducive to TTC! Fortunately we got one in yesterday morning before we set off. Grin Hopefully we'll be there by lunchtime by which point we will be desperately in need of beer and tapas!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/11/2017 08:37

Oh god, that sounds like a nightmare! I hope you're on your way now - hang on in here for your beer and tapas, you've earned them!

Wow keepon, what a mission! Hope you can rest and relax now, and have a wonderful break.

Nothing to report here, was expecting a spike this morning post ov but it's dropped even lower and it's been very low so far this cycle anyway so not sure what's going on.

Weekend was alright thanks.

How's everyone?

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/11/2017 15:29

Eurgh, that's annoying Anne - presumably you've had a load of ov symptoms and that's why you were expecting it to be up? Hopefully you'll see a rise tomorrow.

OP posts:
AnneLovesGilbert · 21/11/2017 17:44

Loads lisa, all the usual stuff.

Had a weird pain yesterday while dtd. I don’t want to be too graphic or specific but has anyone had pain in the ovary area while dtd around when you’re ovulating?

How are you doing lisa?

Hope you had a fantastic weekend away bertie Smile

LisaSimpsonsbff · 21/11/2017 22:41

If I'm honest I don't think I know quite where my ovaries are - I don't get ovulation pain - but I sometimes get a horrible deep pain if DH hits my cervix during sex, which might be a similar thing?

I'm ok, thanks - just counting down days to scan.

I'm back from my weekend - disappointingly there was no testing in airport toilets but I did do one at my cousin's house, bought a blue dye test by mistake and had to talk myself out of seeing squinters because they really weren't there. Did manage to get some wild drinking and smoking in and then started AF on the way home so my instinct was right.

AnneLovesGilbert · 22/11/2017 09:29

Sorry about AF Bertie Sad But sounds like a brilliant weekend, glad you had fun.

How are you doing Fox?

How long now till scan Lisa?

It was a deep stab in the left side of my front, sort of inside my left hip bone area. Found a position it didn't happen in and all was fine yesterday and dtd again last night but it kept happening which was weird.

Got a big temp rise today. I'm hopelessly addicted to this sort of reassurance... Blush Oh well. Whatever helps.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 22/11/2017 09:42

That does sound like a lot of fun, bertie! Glad you had a nice time. Any update on flat while you were away?

I always find it so weirdly exciting when I get my crosshairs on FF, anne, so very much with you on being addicted to the reassurance! I guess it helps to break things up, too? Like when I get crosshairs I always feel like 'ooh look, I am suddenly 3DPO (even though I always know it's coming!) and almost a quarter of the way through the 2WW', and it makes things feel like they are going (slightly) faster.

Couldn't agree with you more Lisa. I'm not wishing time away but it feels good to keep track.

Oh Foxtrot, bless you, it's not easy. You're welcome here as long as you like but I have a good feeling about your pregnancy x

BertieBotts · 23/11/2017 09:51

Yeah defo happy for this to be a safe place for early PG after MC too - there is also a PG after MC thread in pregnancy, in case you hadn't found it.

No update on flat yet, we did put in some forms for a credit check, now feeling anxious that we're going to fail that (Germany is very strict). But we will see.
