Congratulations Time

KashyKash · 16/09/2017 09:38

Congrats to all the bfps! Seems like a lot this month 😀

Sorry I haven't been on here very much, I've been trying to step away from thinking about ttc all the time as it's really bringing me down. It has been nice to take a break from temping but hasn't helped at all this month as af appeared last night. So now we've been trying for a full year and it's all very depressing. The GP wants me to book in for the 21 day blood test this coming month and she has referred us to the fertility clinic for tests. It's quite a long wait apparently so no idea when that will be.

As someone else said, I can't stop thinking about every month ticking by widening the age gap, we are now looking at a 4 year + gap and I'll be 40+ too. I didn't sleep at all last night for worrying about it all, which I know isn't helping things.

Anyway, I'll be joining the October group. Last year we didn't try in October because my ds, dh and three other close family all have early June birthdays. It's also our anniversary and there's Father's Day too of course so June is a very expensive month! However, no time to waste now so maybe it will be our lucky month again!

Sorry you're still in limbo Nubian, I really hope af arrives soon so you can get back to working on that bfp. Big hugs.

So sorry to see you back on here impatient, big hugs to you too x

Good luck to everyone waiting to test this week, looking forward to hearing more good news x

Cariad2017 · 16/09/2017 11:16

Sending enormous hugs your way Kashy. If it's any consolation I'm on Cycle 12, so I know how dispiriting month after month of BFNs can be. It's amazing that your GP is willing to refer you to a fertility clinic though - where we live, it's a blanket no for anything other than the most basic blood tests if you have a child already. I shall be keeping everything crossed that you manage to invoke the law of sod this month and end up with yet another June Birthday in the family!

Difficult though it sounds, I'd really try not to fixate too much on the age gap. DH has a 5.5 year gap to his nearest sibling and they all get on amazingly well (and much better than many adult siblings I know who are closer in age).

Amazing news Timeisnotaline. Congratulations! What a brilliant start to the weekend.

Sorry to hear your DS is unwell on his Birthday *Lopey. I hope he perks up and that you have a lovely day celebrating. I really hope this is your month on the BFP front - I shall be rooting for you. Xxxx

KashyKash · 16/09/2017 12:08

Thank you Cariad, it's good to know I'm not the only one that has been trying for a year but sorry you're going through it too. You're so right about the age gap thing too, I just need to stop obsessing about it.

I must have got lucky with my GP if that's the case in other areas. She made it very clear that I wouldn't be eligible for any treatment but basically asked what I wanted. I said I'd like to get checked out to see if there's any scarring or blocked tubes from my c section so she referred me for that.

Best of luck to you for this month x

HappyHedgehog247 · 16/09/2017 12:11

aF has arrived so I am out. It was first cycle and so while I of course was hoping as was lucky with DC1, that's ok. Have done day 21 test and that was positive so have booked a private clinic to have fertility review and AMH. Will join Oct bus.

Massive congrats to beansprout and time!!!! And anyone else I have missed. So exciting x

OvariesBeforeBrovaries · 16/09/2017 13:13

Congratulations time! Sorry Kashy and Happy this TTC lark is really disheartening at times isn't it :( fingers crossed next month is the month for both of you.

I've got a chest infection so we haven't DTD much this month :( I keep telling myself it only takes once but I don't feel very optimistic. I lost a pregnancy in January, it would have been a honeymoon baby and it would have been due this month so I'm feeling low in general really :(

Beansprout30 · 16/09/2017 13:16

Sorry for af @Hedgehog, hope it's your turn next month

I did another test thus morning it was bfn so now I'm wondering if yesterday's was too early and wasn't bfp after all. No af so will have to wait it out

Cariad2017 · 16/09/2017 14:22

Ovaries - Sorry to hear about your chest infection. I got to the EDD of my first loss before conceiving DS and it was a horrid, horrid feeling, so I can definitely empathise with the way you feel. I shall be keeping everything crossed that this is your month. This time round we've had literally 11 cycles of BFNs, which is no doubt much easier to deal with psychologically, but it now has me panicking that we'll never conceive again.

Beansprout - Sorry you're in limbo. It's such a horrid place to be. I think unfortunately it's a case of waiting it out. I would step away from any cheapie tests and invest in an FRER/ a clear blue digi once AF is due.

Hedgehog - Sorry to hear AF arrived. If you got pregnant quickly last time around and this was cycle 1, I'd be tempted to save my money and wait a few months before going down the fertility testing route.

LopeyLopez · 16/09/2017 14:50

Lots and lots of BAD period pain today for me, so feeling very very sad. As is always I had become convinced this was the month, for one reason or another. And as always happens, looks like my hopes are being dashed again. I guess it's good that I can be positive enough to think "this is it, it's happened!" every month, but I then feel so silly and do down when it's another negative. I know I'm not totally out til af shows her face though, so will just have to wait it out. Despite the pain no sign as yet, although perhaps a tiny tiny bit of light pink/beige tinted cm, only when wiping. Will just have to wait and see. Hope you get clarification soon beansprout.

ovaries sorry for your chest infection, hope it clears up soon. It really does only take one time so definitely keep the faith.

kashy sorry af has arrived, I really hope that because June is a busy month it invokes the law of sod and you get a bfp this month. This is month 6 of officially trying but about cycle 9 due to my super short cycles at the beginning. Have been not trying, not preventing since last year though so I know how disheartening it is every month. Our gp is also referring us to the fertility clinic after DH's sperm analysis comes back as all my initial tests and scans come back. We won't get IVF but can get tests done which will be a massive cost saving.

hedgehog sorry for af arriving. I agree with Cariad, unless there is a particular reason you're worried I would wait a few months before going down the testing route.

beansprout hope you get an answer either way soon. I've read that a false positive is really hard to get but lots of people get negatives when they are pregnant.

lopey hopefully those really bad cramps aren't af at all. I had cramps nearly none stop either DD in the first trimester.

Beansprout30 · 16/09/2017 19:11

Af arrived this afternoon, only first cycle but I was convinced I was pregnant yesterday. Onto October

DragonsandDungeons · 16/09/2017 19:18

Weird. I took a test because this bleed is unlike any period I've had. Painless and at the wrong time. It was negative although I thought possibly a squinter. But then I looked and nothing.

Went back to it hours later and a very clear PINK line. I'd think Evap but...it's bright pink. wtf.

MynameisJune · 16/09/2017 19:42

beansprout really sorry af arrived, at least you know now and can move on. Hope you're having wine.

dragon if you're not sure whether the line appeared in the 3 mins then I'd discount it until you take another test. Really hoping it's something rather than nothing but not to be a Debbie downer, when my cycles where super short my period was super light because the lining wasn't getting as long to form in the uterus. Or that's what the Dr said to me when I mentioned it.

DragonsandDungeons · 16/09/2017 19:51

June that's what I think as well especially as my lining was thin. This is the test, I opened it to get a look. This happened last month and it was hormones left from my loss but I've had scans and tests since that have proven I've not got retained products.

TTC #2 (September BFPs)
Beansprout30 · 16/09/2017 19:56

Do you have another test you can use in the morning @dragon?

Thanks @june, don't have any wine how shit is that

DragonsandDungeons · 16/09/2017 20:02

No I don't keep many in as I'm really crap and use all of them! This was my last one.

I'm gonna wait a few days and retest. Really hope this is it I've been upset all day about my short cycles. DP thought I was pregnant as I've had symptoms but we both thought this bleed was a period. Hmm.

MynameisJune · 16/09/2017 20:14

bean that's rubbish, get thy husband to the shop tomorrow! I only ever drink now when I'm on my period. Silver linings and all that!

dragon I can only see one line on the picture, but I'm always pretty useless at seeing them. I'd definitely get another test and test again soon.

DragonsandDungeons · 16/09/2017 23:03

June can you see this pic?

Ive ordered some tests. I'm only 12dpo (or cycle day 3 if this is a period instead) so going to wait a few days. Both my pregnancies only tested postings after I was due.

TTC #2 (September BFPs)
Fluffykins1986 · 17/09/2017 01:09

Beansprout I'm exactly the same. Had that initial possible line which was definitely there, but two BFNs since. Went out tonight and enjoyed red wine. Still hopeful though but don't know what to think...

ladydolly · 17/09/2017 06:50

Only 9po but very very very faint line on an IC early response test. I'm not convinced yet but can everyone keep their fingers crossed for me? Will try and get a pic later today when it's a bit lighter, currently have to stand under the light!

Dungeons, Fluffy keeping fingers crossed for you.

Beansprout30 · 17/09/2017 07:00

@Dragons I can see it too but I think you must do another really hope it's a bfp

Didn't bother getting wine I was too tired anyway due to rubbish night Friday with dd bless her she has a horrible cough.

Fluffy, when will you test again? Af came for me, I forgot that horrible crushing feeling of getting my period when I was certain I was pregnant-brought back horrible memories of ttc before. This time I must not get so down about it as I already have a beautiful dd and I must focus on her

@dolly keeping everything crossed for you lovely

GotaDolly · 17/09/2017 07:24

@Dragons I can definitely see it too!

I've got one week to go until AF due - it goes so slowly doesn't it! It's unbearable. 9th cycle so kind of giving up hope slowly over here...

Beansprout30 · 17/09/2017 07:35

Don't lose hope @gotadolly, it will happen for us all
