Thank you mynameisjune I know you're right :-( I wasn't even this worried first time around. I don't want to see midwife though and have her take blood etc then be like er you're not even pregnant?! I don't really understand chemical pregnancies etc and I keep thinking what if I'm not actually pregnant?!

Nubian9454 · 15/09/2017 11:59

Positive test for Beansprout . CongratulationsSmile

All the best Ladypug. Stay positive

LadyPug · 15/09/2017 12:06

Thanks Nubian I'm eagerly following your journey and holding out for your bfp

Impatientmummy36 · 15/09/2017 12:15

Hi ladypug the tests are all different and detect hormones at different levels and sure the quality of tests differ as well, and some will look fainter than others!

.... a chemical pregnancy is just an early miscarriage before 5 weeks, not an imaginary pregnancy or fault of the test or mix up in the chemicals of the thing if you see what I mean, so if you're getting bfs you're definitely pregnant! If you're worried about it not lasting, which of course it's normal to feel, there's nothing you can do, and testing will make you more anxious! You could Book an early scan for reassurance, some will do from 6 weeks, certainly 7 x

X

Nubian9454 · 15/09/2017 12:52

Thanks Ladypug. I can't wait to share a bfp with you love ladies who have been so supportive x

LadyPug · 15/09/2017 13:03

Wow thank you impatient I didn't actually realise a chemical pregnancy is still a pregnancy, thanks for letting me know! And good luck nubian I hope you get your bfp and hopefully get to join me on the May thread!

Cariad2017 · 15/09/2017 15:32

Mynameis - I'm glad to hear that your results have all come back normal. Here's hoping the GP is helpful when you next see her.

I'm hoping that now you've "fixed" your cycles with the help of Agnus Castus, it's only a matter of time before you get that BFP. Given your username, a June 2018 baby would no doubt be just ace! Xxxx

Cariad2017 · 15/09/2017 15:37

Impatient - I'm glad I'm not the only one with a "troublesome" OH on the fertility front! Heating aside, people kept saying to me last time around that the fact that we'd managed to get upduffed at all was a real positive. I saw it as a bit of a back handed compliment at the time, particularly when hurting so much after a loss, but (stripping the emotion out of it for a moment) the chances are that if you are managing to get upduffed, you're obviously doing something right and it's only a matter of time until one sticks. I really really hope you get that sticky BFP very very soon.

Cariad2017 · 15/09/2017 15:38

Meant to write "jesting" not heating! Oh dear!

ElephantAndBird · 15/09/2017 18:48

I'm cd9 and tend to ovulate early (although it's a bit variable because I'm still breastfeeding) so we dtd last night and obviously will for the next few nights. I don't know if it's because it's our first month or because if it stuck we'd have 2 under two (just!) but I'm feeling pretty nervous! Is that normal? Last time I had no idea what was coming so I wasn't worried at all! 😂

(And it probably won't happen this month anyway - it took us 9 cycles last time.)

Impatientmummy36 · 15/09/2017 19:42

Cariad thanks & you are right. I have been to GP now and he did say same, it does indicate the mechanics are working.

He is going to try to get me the AMH test I want, because I'm worried the eggs may be there and the bits and pieces in working order, but if the quality Is poor I want to know. Or else want mind putting at rest! I offered to pay and go elsewhere but he said he'd see if they can do it (apparently sample has to get to lab within 1 hour so that's why he has to check if possible!)

Have everything crossed for you too, not long to your clinic appointment, at least while things are happening you know you're doing everything you possibly can and taking some control of situation, one step closer to the bfp.....x

Same for you too June and I'm glad your tests came back normal x

Ladydolly let us know what acupuncture was like?! Did they go through cycles etc with you and do some sort of diagnosis process before treatment ? X

Nubian hope you're ok, don't know anything about Vitex I'm afraid, but I'm sure it was used by one of the women from one of my (many 100s of) fertility books with success, in her opinion x

MynameisJune · 15/09/2017 19:44

Cariad I would love a June baby, it would be a nice change with DD being a winter baby. Plus June 2018 is the half way to her birthday and every month we don't get a bfp is another month older for her. And even though I tell myself that a bigger age gap isn't the end of the world it still bothers me that we were aiming for a 2 year age gap but are looking more like a 3+ age gap. This will be the 3rd month of a 'normal' cycle but month 1 doesn't really count as I had no idea that my cycle had changed.

ladydolly · 15/09/2017 20:04

ladypug I think you're fine, I really do. If you feel better testing pick one type of test and do one a day at the same time.

My acupuncturist double booked me! So I'm resheduling for next week, BFP/AF due on Tues so if it's BFP I'll cancel it! But, she was very good in prep, I filled in a long form about my health, wellbeing, reproductive stuff. Same for DP. Then in my first session we went through and she looked at my cycles on my app, mainly temping. She thinks my system just needs to settle down from the coil and that's what she's treating me for. The extreme diet is for some digestive issues I've had, separate to the conceiving. I'll be adding stuff back in one by one to see what might be causing it. But I needed to lose some weight anyway in preparation for any help we might from a doctor, I'm at least a stone overweight, maybe more, so this is helping.

Cariad2017 · 15/09/2017 20:11

Elephant - I think nervousness is totally normal, particularly knowing that if you did get upduffed this month you'd end up with 2u2. When we started ttc #2 many moons ago, I was looking at a 20ish month gap and I felt similar. If you don't get upduffed this month (as happened to me) I think you'll find that the nervousness quickly dissipates in the disappointment of a BFN. If you do get your BFP this month, the shock might take a bit longer to sink in, but babies are long lead items and you'll no doubt have got your head fully around it long before the 12 week scan. Good luck my lovely. I hope your journey this time round is short and sweet.

Impatient - your GP sounds like a gem. I definitely think you're doing the right thing getting checked out for peace of mind if nothing else. Do let me know how you get on with your AMH test.

Mynameis - You have no idea how much I would love you to get that BFP this month. That having been said, as the months wear on, I'm trying not to fixate too much on the perfect gap, but you're right having experienced a Winter baby, a Summer baby would be just wonderful.

LopeyLopez · 15/09/2017 20:35

Many congrats Beansprout! Very exciting!

Glad to see we're in sync again Syd...

I will wait to test until 15 dpo: just in case, as last month I had a freaky 14 day luteal phase so I want to be sure. I have become a serial non-tester (as opposed to what I used to be, the opposite...) too; like a few people I'd rather see af than another dreaded bfn.

So that's Wednesday then. Part of me does want to just test and find out tomorrow morning, as it's DS's 2nd birthday and finding out then would be just lovely....but then again, imagine if it's bad news: nothing like a bfn to ruin the birthday celebrations....so I'd better wait.

Good luck ladies xxx

@nubian what does the Vitex do? Have heard of it but not something I've used before, hope it does the trick!

@impatient hope your gp can sort the test for you and hopefully the results will be good

I'm going to hang around here for a bit as I'm sure we have many more bfps to come x

@elephant, it took us 16 cycles for dd, today's bfp was first cycle so you never no!
@ladypug As above, step away from the tests, you will worry yourself and I'm sure everything is fine

@ladydolly annoying that she double booked but sounds like she knows what she's doing and hopefully a simple 'fix' and you'll have your bfp, keep us updated

Beansprout30 · 15/09/2017 20:36

Oops so rubbish at posting with my phone

Beansprout30 · 15/09/2017 20:39

Good shout holding off testing till after your ds birthday @Lopey . Do you have much planned to celebrate? I expect he will take your mind off not knowing

Nubian9454 · 15/09/2017 21:09

Beansprout vitex is meant to regulate hormones and cycle and help with regular ovulation. It's a natural herb and appears to have good reviews. My cycle has been very off and I af is still missing so I hope this will give it a kick start

DragonsandDungeons · 15/09/2017 21:09

Well my period appears to be stopping after 2 days. Ffs. My cycle is fucked.

LopeyLopez · 15/09/2017 21:11

Just the usual, beansprout: soft play and then lunch out with relatives. Only problem is DS is a bit ill at the moment and totally off his food, so it may not all go to plan. He was ill on his birthday last year too: it's becoming an unfortunate tradition! Confused

OP posts:
Beansprout30 · 15/09/2017 21:43

Aha I see, good luck with it @nubian!

Aww poor thing @lupey hope he enjoys himself, my dd is a snot machine right now, it's one thing after another

Nubian9454 · 15/09/2017 22:20

Hope it will work for me Beansprout
Lopey hope your little one feel better soon.

Also good luck to all those testing soon. I know we will be seeing some more bfpsSmile

LadyPug · 15/09/2017 22:23

Thank you so much babydolly baby dust to all!

timeisnotaline · 16/09/2017 07:50

Af is due Monday and I gave in this morning - and it's pregnant Blush I know it's great news but I'm terrified of how work will go. Also wondering if I should keep testing to make sure it doesn't disappear... I think testing early means we detect more that aren't supposed to be so have been trying not to! Eek. Off to google due date calculators. Good luck all!
