This Hut is more of a Bedouin or desert tent than anything too gloomy. We shall supply our our own gloom.

Brought you lots of party rings and flumps left over from the 80s themed hen weekend I've just got back from.
Feeling generally fed up of FTC and fed up of my body not playing ball on the right days. Have been waiting since March for my period to come on a weekday so I can have blood tests done and it's not happening. Came on on a sat, then good fri then this fri (when halfway to hen w/e) so haven't been able to get to docs for cd1/2 tests for 3 months. Now we have another month of waiting. Fed up because we know we need assisted conception (DH had his tests ages ago and they weren't good) but I need my tests done at gp's before we can be referred for treatment. Fed up of the 'system', especially as we decided 3 months ago to go for tests because - yes you've guessed it - we were fed up of waiting to get pg!

Chocolate, I rather like MdmDeuxShags!! Maybe I will change my nickname..... Dp did actually ask me over the weekend what, if we were to be lucky this mont, we would call the LO.....you kow, like Paris, etc. He asked as we were strolling down the Champs Elysee, so I said Elysee for a girl or Champs for a boy!!
Lissie, I know, I know, but I just wanted one-a-day to cover it, PLUS I quite liked the idea of being shagtastically youthful and decadent and slutty!
Magnolia, thanks for the goodies, although I can't believe there were actually any of these wonderous nibbles left over after such a weekend!! Waiting is shite.....

Not sure if this will help and you may already know this....but the bloods can be taken day 2 or 3, with day one being the first day you bleed pre midday. (so if you don't get you period until say 2pm on a Monday then Tues is you day 1) also a lot of clinics will do bloods on weekends - especially if they are Assisted Conception units as blood tests are needed for IVF/ICSI patients. HTH.

GP says we do it through her in the first instance before getting refered to assisted conception centre (was going to abbreviate that to ass. con. unit - kind of appropriate considering how I feel!)and she said could only be day period came or next day at a push. went to see her on day 3 and she said it was too late.
Anyway, please call me what you wish nothing offends.
Am I allowed to cross my fingers for duchesse in the hut or is that too optimisitc?

Mags - Sadly I'm becoming a bit of an old had at ttc... and GPs are often wrong - next time go for day2/3 and just tell her it is day 2. (Day one is too early)

Oooh, choccie, what naughty advice you give, telling people that the medical profession are not always right!!! We could have a revolt on our hands!
Well, all crossed for Duchesse's camel then and I agree, lets hope she's never back. Although wasn't it Duchesse who built this place and welcomed us all in with open arms?

I was supposed to see the doc tomorrow (I booked to see when I got my bfp, ha ha), but have cancelled it. Am in the middle of shag week so am trying to feel optimistic but if no joy this month (surely not! what are the chances?!) I will go along for the ftc in a year chat. Whatever that means.

I love the Flumps btw. Sadly, the theme tune is the ring tone on my phone

So I hereby resolve to go to the docs on their next open day after period arrives and swear to them it's day 2 regardless.

Mags, just to echo what Choccie has said, I recently saw my doctor about FTC and she said I need to go on day 3 for bloods. I also have to have them taken at the local hospital which is convenient because I can just drop in whenever. Is there any chance of you seeing another doctor at your surgery seeing as this one clearly doesn't know what they are talking about?

Magnolia, bloods on day 2/3 where I live / with my GP..not sure that's helping but did get a result that seemed to keep everyone happy that I was doing what I was meant to be doing. Which makes a change (thought I'd get in there first on that one).
FMN, congratulations on the new job and my fertility expert said ONLY go every other day to get best possible sperm. So, you may have accidently been 'on the money'! Crossing fingers.
